Free Agents

As you know there is a pool of players who are without a team in the game. Im going to start my manager mode tomorrow and plan on assigning these players to teams, I figure they might not get signed after I start my mm.

I was wondering anyone had any strategies on where to assign the players. I just take the best players and place them on historically good clubs that might have dropped a league or two. Real Oviedo is gonna get some love of course.

All the good players get snapped up in the first month. You don't need to worry about that. I went to check in one of my test MM in the first week in August, and every free agent that was rated 65 or higher was snapped up by someone.

Is it the same as 15? Where they auto assigned all the players that had 70+ ovr and young talents that had 70+ potential ?? Or did they actually show up in the first week of season? I hated how CPU would distribute the Free Agents as it seems the best wound up on a big club with no playing time just wasting away on the bench. Might be better to assign players to clubs in maybe lower leagues so they will actually get a chance to play and grow.

In the past I'd check the leagues that had promotions and put players on the new teams that got promoted or into leagues not very competitive the main being SPL with Celtic wiping the floor every year so to strengthen the SPL if drop some FA on every SPL team besides Celtic or another good league that could use the help is Ireland League as pretty much every team is low rated so just keep adding a bunch to each team and they can have a shot at at least being competitive in European competition.
