Auto switching and AI reaction time problem

Not sure if something changed as a result of patch 2, but I am seeing an issue when winning tackles in that my AI teammates do not react when I dispossess the CPU and the ball rolls in their direction.
This is something which is seriously marring the gaming right now and I am not sure if it is related to auto switching or the patch. I have tried all levels of auto switching but I can’t find a setting which makes my AI-controlled teammates to register that the ball is near them after a tackle. They just stand there with the ball literally rolling next to them but “expect” that my controller player (who is much further away) will go for the ball. By this time the CPU have already taken possession of the ball, making my original tackle pointless.
Anyone else noticed (and solved) this?

I have noticed that the AI seems to back off the ball a bit more post patch. This happened last year as well after ultimate team players complained that it was too hard to score so EA decided to release a patch which pretty much ruined the game.

Big problem! Noticed this as well!
Seems like EA decided to ruin a good game but implementing scripted **** like this again...

It was there before the patch. If it's worse now, you're basing that off anecdotal evidence. It was there last year and the year before.


It will not be fixed, there is no slider set or setting that alleviates it, and it's 100% intentional. Don't believe me? Watch the hundreds (if not thousands) of YouTube videos from FIFA 13, 14, & 15 where people point out exactly what you noticed was supposedly caused by this patch.
