    BPL Formations

So with the last squad update I noticed that just about every team in the BPL uses the 4-2-3-1(4-5-1) formation; Is this true to life? I was also wondering if CPU controlled teams actually change their formations throughout the year or just stick with the default formation

    Re: BPL Formations

I quickly checked whoscored.com and 5 out of the top 6 BPL teams use the 4-2-3-1 as their primary formation. I didn't bother to check the rest, but there did seem to be a trend.

Yeah, I think the majority of the league uses some variation of that formation most of the time. Don't see a lot of 2 striker systems much these days. I know Newcastle and Leicester play with 2 up front quite a bit, tho. I've definitely seen teams use different formations during Manager Mode, so it does happen. Liverpool, for example, seems to run out a different one each time that I play them.

That's good to hear. I was afraid that teams were using the same default formation regardless of injuries or matchups.
