First: less the defense seems WAY less psychic when it comes to dispossessing/blocking you at the moment of a shot. In 15, countless times, I would think I had a step on the defender, ready my power bar for a shot, only to be interrupted by a last-minute pinpoint sliding tackle or a defender who got in the way at JUST the last second. I'm seeing a lot less of that in 16, and am able to put a fair bit more shots on target, which actually feels a lot more realistic.
Second: Rebounds and second chance efforts. In Fifa 15 it felt like, if the ball bounced off the keeper, there was an invisible force field that prevented your offensive players from getting to it and directed the ball to the nearest defender instead. I maybe had half a dozen successful rebound goals for the entirety of the game. Already through my short playtime I've scored twice off rebounds and have had more chances in general than all of last year. This is also good and feels more realistic.
Last: Crosses and headers can actually be effective. Not much needs to be said about this- it seems like in 15, they nerfed headers to the point where it was essentially useless to ever try getting a cross in from the wing; 90% of the time the defender would get it and the other 10% of the time you'd just harmlessly direct a soft header directly to the keeper. Now I haven't scored too many goals from crosses/headers myself yet but it seems the attacking players are much more effective in actually getting their head on the ball, so as to actually create much more realistic chances. Much improved.
Overall I have to say these three main changes have made this the best FIFA experience I've ever had
