Full transfer details. Not sure why neither game (outside of Football Manager) can't give us a full log of transfer activity. Player - From - Where - Amount. Separate it by league and I'm good. Obviously the game logs it because transfers happen so all this information should be provided to the user. Not just last 3 and top 3 transfers and whatever else I can dig through the news feed.

PES kinda does BUT you need to know the club emblems by heart, lol.

But yeah Alt, I agree with you 100%. I've been tracking this ST from Carpi in my Milan CM and I had no idea that he transferred from Carpi to Stoke until I did a manual search for him. Still couldn't see how much he transferred for.

I would love to be able to click on his bio and find a log of his stats, trophies won, and transfer history since the start of the CM.

um yes, thank you. Was completely shocked the first time the game forced me to quit my career mode against my will. wtf, maybe I like playing through extreme challenges and maybe coming short

This. I don't mind the occasional match where the cpu is boosted, but the stuck in mud mode is the worst mechanic.

One of the worst things about FIFA (and NHL, and flow sports games in general) is the 50/50 ball never feels credible. That's where the game feels most on the rails, and the career mode under the hood stuff exacerbates this sensation an unfortunate degree.

I know it's an inexact comparison, but look at the 50/50 ball in Rocket League and how much more dynamic it makes the experience. I understand players have awareness attributes that dictate how they would read a play, but sometimes (and especially in career mode) these attributes seem to go out the window for the user.

I agree with most that say CM needs to be re-vamped. Online CM would be cool, it's not really a necessity for me but do it like madden where it's optional or you can still solo it yet play online. I could certainly see myself playing an online CM with random people or the Opsports crowd whereas I almost never play with others on Madden unless my actual friends try to get a league going.

In all actuality I think what could improve the game the most would be managers and their styles being rated and put into the game with room for improvement, etc. Similar to how coaches work in Madden, albeit hopefully with a different system than XP points. It's even more necessary in a proper football game because teams styles often change with their managers.

Sure certain clubs have an overall general philosophy about how they want to play football, Barcelona is always going to hire a guy who wants to play tiki-taka for example at least whilst they continue to buy and produce the talent they have recently. Real Madrid will sack managers for not getting results attractively, even if those results are good ones but will likewise sack managers who play attractively if they don't results. You could certainly add that in there similar to the chemistry rating in Ultimate Team with certain managers are a better fit for certain clubs than others. Then you would add players being a better fit for certain styles than others again, like the chemistry rating that's already present in UT. There would obviously likely be some generic sets for lower league clubs and managers, and I think most people would be okay with that, but the top leagues and managers should be there at the least.

If implemented properly this could reduce the thing most everyone is annoyed by which is all teams passing around like Barcelona. Team tactics could still be editable within parameters for certain managers, and give us a create a manger option in CM for those who want to do things their way. I also would like the ability to edit run locations/direction and defensive positioning (this used to be there IIRC) and/or have both offensive and defensive formations (you might not even need both, the first one could theoretically allow players to implement the second on their own). Not every team switches with and without the ball but a lot of teams do in fact vary their formation between attack and defense.

Basically my logic is that if EA wanted to they could use ideas they already implement in UT, tweak and improve them a bit, and add them to the main game with a few other things that are prevalent in actual football. They could then couple that with gameplay improvements to fix some poor AI (off ball "ADD" being the big one for most) and they'd have beautiful game that's a more accurate representation of football than anything we've ever had. It would take work sure, but it can be done.

Edit - In this hypothetical transfer logic would also be tied in to be effected by the manager at any given club. Quick example - A guy like Tony Pulis doesn't try to sign the next Messi because he has no real use for him with his tactics.

16. Rivalry/Fan Meter (Feels Diffrent against certain teams)
17. Revamp Career Mode
18. Continue Careers from one game to another
19. Old Rosters (play with a 09-10 roster)
20. History Mode (start from a year and all players like Messi and Ronaldo are small and you can get them and rewrite history)

Owner mode.
This would fix the problem with getting fired. This would be the obvious choice for a super fan of a club. You could choose new sponsors, add ons to stadiums, rebuild stadium, host preseason tournaments (money/ware and tare on the pitch). You could bring in new coaches (and new playing styles).


Change the pitch!
If you are a league 2 team, your pitch should be trashed by this time of year. Extra games and less money to hire proper groundsmen.


Change position.
The ability to train a player in a different position. The more you play in the new position, the higher it moves on his position preference.


Chemistry.
The more players play together, the better this attribute gets. This can be affected by a coach and/or his ability to have players buy in.


Coaching styles.
Someone else brought this up. I think this is a great idea! Hopefully, EA can code it in a way that will have an idea set of every positions. Ex: 4/5/1 team who isn't involved in Europa or Champions League would ideally have; 3 GK, 4 CB, 3 OB, 4CDM, 4 OM, 2 CAM, 3 ST. The coach would aggressively try to fill these spots before going after an overload at one position. If the team is in Europa or Champions League, the squad size would grow.


Real Coaches.
The story lines do include real coaches' names. But......I'm always asked to enter my coaches name, etc. And then it says "welcome new coach." No, Ronald Koeman isn't new to Southampton.


CPU tactics.
Everyone has said this. At worse, design 5 different tactics and the CPU will randomly change/use them. I'm a high school coach and we use different tactics in every match. Just change: pace, weakness targets, strengths to avoid, work inside/outside, short game/long game, cross/work inside the box. CPU could even change the tactics at half!


FIX YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hire a YA Coach. The coach will have strengths and weaknesses. Some players won't mesh with the coaching style. Some will explode with talent.
Physical growth needs to be fixed. The ability to change positions, depending on skill. Some players might refuse and won't to leave the YA. Every Country that has a national team should be able to be scouted (WALES!!!!).

I want to be able to buy a player during the transfer window and have the ability to loan him back to that same team that he previously played for, kind of like Spurs did with Yedlin.

Most of what I'd like to see will probably seem minor to most of you. I'm not as critical of the game as some.

- Longer career mode
- League history/stats
- Make money actually mean something when you're a Manager. For example, signing with a new club for more money opens more career options (ability to influence players, etc.)
- Earn trophies as you play/manage and have a trophy room
- Incorporate a version of of the Player mode from NBA 2K where you can trade jerseys with other players based on your skill/popularity level. And you can view them in your trophy room. For example, first year or two of Player mode you trade with lesser players but when you're a star, you trade with Messi, etc. And have achievements based on that.
- More places to scout. Every year we see a really good young player come from an obscure country. Instead of individual countries, include regions like Caribbean or Central Africa. When you scout the players can be from random countries in that region.
- Dual citizenship players. Maybe a few players a year where you can scout and you can try to convince them to play for your country.
- More International teams

I want there to be a setting or mode that we can easily play a world cup. I know you can go to a tournament and set it up similar, but there should be a way to just select World Cup and have all the settings and styles right without having to do it all myself.

*More Hair Colors would be nice too.

I'm really hoping for an online league feature much like the old NCAA football franchise had. Would be fun facing buddies and competing for transfers and titles. Even if it was just 8 or 12 online teams that would be great.

I would even settle for a coop online mode where it was all run from my PS (for example) and my buddies could join me and play together. Had a blast when family was visiting for a week playing the same CM together with my brother.
