Thank you for the kind words James.
Something I really like about this Fifa 16 is that defending is fun.
You really need to think about what you are doing instead of adopting an automatic attitude.
One major rule that is also very important in the real life game is to keep your player standing in front of the attacker and to not throw him in a tackle except you feel you have a very high chance to get the ball.
The other thing that I think is more related to the game code is when you are in your last third the CPU will use quite often the "pass & follow" (L2+cross on PS4). The best way to defend in those situations is actually to actively follow the player that did the pass and use secondary pressure to press the man that act as a pivot and will try to send back a through ball. Using this approach I have managed to reduce very significantly the number of frustrating goals scored by the CPU where you feel they run through your defence like if it was butter.

- the way I hold the controller. I noticed that the way I held it made me rotate it during play, so my angles were a bit off. I made significant progress in just a few matches.
