Any way to stop other players from leaving league?

I just started my MLS career that I had been setting up for a while with roster moves and create-a-players. I decided to simulate a few years (just to see how my league might look in the future) and make sure I have things how I want them before I start (not saving obviously).

On this game you can only create 30 players for some reason. So I gave each team (a few teams 2) a fun/unique prospect that could be a star in the future (an 18 year old in the mid 60s). But a few years in several of them left. Not just switching MLS teams, but gone completely. They went to other countries so it's like they are gone forever or deleted since I can't play against them or see if they lead the league in scoring or anything.

I know soccer players transfer to other countries some times, but it still seems pretty stupid thaton this video game, the players I created can just leave the league after a few years and I will never see them again. It kind of takes the fun out of it knowing in 5 years, most of the guys I'd like to see on the opposing teams in my league will be gone.

Is there anyway to fix this? Or to turn off players leaving for other countries or anything?

Thanx for any help on fixing this issue.

No, there is nothing you can do to prevent other clubs from transfering players to different teams in different leagues. You can only control the players on your team. If a player on your team demands a transfer and you don't want him to leave, you can go into contracts and negotiate a larger weekly salary. Generally they will decide to stay about 50% of the time or so depending on how big of a raise you give them, or how badly they want to leave (the dreaded homesick email/ I'm too big for this club email).

If you want to see how your other created prospects on the other MLS clubs are doing, I would suggest scouting them and keeping them on your shortlist. That way you could see how much their overall and skills improved as the years go on, even if they are transfered to a club in a different league. Unfortunately, you can't see their stats if they are playing outside of the MLS because FIFA only tracks stats from the competitions your club is playing in (in your case probably just MLS, your pre-season tournament, and your national team if you are managing one). Also they only show the stats from the current season, so it is difficult to keep track of how much of an impact they have as the years go by.

      Thanx for the response.

It stinks that thee isn't an option to turn off transfers to other leagues.

I know soccer is different, but you wouldn't want to see guys like S Curry, L James, and K Durant leave and no longer be in the NBA when playing a basketball franchise and this seems a little like that.
