What exactly "programs" the AI to sometimes act poorly?

My previous thread was closed because "there were 2 threads of the same subject" but the second thread was already deleted and now the other one is closed, so here we go again. This time just leave one topic alive -.-

    The AI is so inconsistent.

Why does the AI sometimes just avoid the pass completely? Just watch the ball roll by?

I have no idea when my own player is going to run towards another player in my team to actually tackle the ball away.

Sometimes they also react very very slowly and another match they can be very fast at reacting.

Sometimes when you want to pass to a player close to you the AI decides to jump over the ball to let the ball roll slowly to a player much further away.

What exactly decides these things in the game? How is the player controlling the team supposed to know when a player is going to behave like it should and when not?

When your AI teammate sees you pass the ball to him, WHY does he not come towards the ball? WHY does he let the opposite AI run from 10000 kilometers behind him to get the ball?

Also, the most annoying thing; why the hell does the computer controlled team ALWAYS take the ball to the corner and cover it there for the last 10 mins or so?

    Seriously dude, stop making threads.

You're frustrated with the AI. We get it.

If you hate it so much and you can't find a good medium with sliders, play something else.

I made this thread to have one thread to discuss this issue, because none of the other threads are active anymore. So just let me have one place to discuss it no need to delete them all. No need to whine about my threads either, if you disagree then don't read this stuff

PS. on the last thread which was deleted some guy was giving me some good advices on sliders instead of whining about my whining but unfortunately I can no longer see the advices because the thread was deleted. so maybe try helping a newcomer instead...

You've literally got another thread open at the top of the page discussing the AI.

Is there a way to set the sliders in such way that each team behaves different? I really don't like stoke city playing like barcelona. I've now tried lots of different slider settings and all 3 of the "hardest" difficulties.

Professional is the only difficulty that seems to have the teams behave like they should, but then again it's too easy and if you edit the sliders on World Class you again start winning every game

How do you take the ball away from the CPU when he's guarding the ball on the corner?

Use the teammate pressure button and take another man and try to poke it away.

You could also try to foul or jostle with em.

Btw, that's not poor AI. The CPU is protecting a result, just as they would in real life.

I've never seen a teammate take it to a corner in RL and cover it there for 10 minutes~

But thanks for answering the question
