I tend to go with Arsenal, my team since the mid 90's. And Southend, my hometown.

Usually with Arsenal though I will buy in a lot of fresh blood and sell off the bulk of the team so I can create a new era and identity for the club; this year though it doesn't feel quite right doing that, as Arsenal have actually been very active in the transfer market and it would seem wrong to not use those players.
I'm excited by the new singings this season. And Xhaka is bloody good!

I played a friendly as Inter last night and their home kit is gorgeous! I have never done a Serie A career, so maybe it is time to topple the old lady...

I'll play one as Arsenal, but I'm also thinking about trying to get Sheffield Wednesday into the Premiere League.

I play with Middlesbrough alot, sometimes Man City, but this year it's the Bundesliga and playing with one of my other favorite teams, FC Shalke 04.

This is the perfect year to both use my favorite club and have an intriguing career mode at the same time, so I'll be using Newcastle. I imagine that the speed/talent will make season one relatively easy, but the climb back up through England/Europe should make it fun.

I started doing a "Globetrotter" CM last year, starting in a very low ranked non-European team and building my resume as a coach as I looked for opportunities elsewhere. Started in the A-league then moved to the Mexican league, then to Turkey and I'm now in the Netherlands. That's been fun.

like I said, it's been fun. I would had gone to MLS from the A-league if I had seen a job opening there. My only gripe with taking over a CONCACAF team is that there's no WC qualifying and I dislike the idea of direct qualification into every WC.

I haven't played FIFA in a number of years and the franchise mode/career mode which ever it is called now days is what I played exclusively. Anyway I have a pretty silly question.


If I select say, Portsmouth (I'm an Aussie and back in the day Kewell and Viduka were playing there) or any other team from a low division, is it possible to turn them into a team that can compete in the PL? Revenue wise and the like.

I'm currently doing that with Newport County on '16 and I assume it can also be done on '17.

Looked over squads on SoFIFA and I'm thinking Ipswich Town and FC Köln are possibilities. Need to give both teams a run out and see who captures my fancy.

Southampton is an intriguing option in the EPL, but I always feel like I should have to work up to managing at that level.
