Re: FIFA 17 Trial Available For EA Access Subscribers, Play For 10 Hours

    I am dying for Tuesday.

What are your thoughts on tactics and player instructions? Do they actually seem to work...?

The typical EA AI still around, kicking at the net and almost 9 out of 10 times scoring the goal at 45th and 90th minutes, oy vey, one of them in my last match was outside the box (about halfway between box and center circle) and after that the AI pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass repeatedly- not exactly enjoyable.

So what did the patch actually do then??

Gameplay being faster than the demo is simply horrible news! We need VERY SLOW more than ever.

@nunogomes: it will always be better playing against another human than the CPU. That's a fact! But as mentioned before the CPU reacts so much more human on Legendary in FIFA 17.

Kind of the same way "Ultimate" level felt in 16.
        Xbox One - FIFA 17 - Full Manual - 15 min. - Slow - Legendary!

Yes, of course, against a human it´s always better (except online ****heads), but it can also be enjoyable against CPU, and right now, it doesn´t seem so. Again, it can change of course...

Premier League presentation seems to be missing this time. It was in FIFA 16. Can't understand why they have the exclusive rights if they end up official stuff like the presentation. FA Cup is nice, but the teams are wearing their PL shirts with a PL logo there instead of an FA Cup logo.

Does your progress in the 10 hour trial carry over when the game is released?

Can I start a career now and keep it going or will I have to start over?

I agree, really liking legendary, even set it to slow however passing is horrible- the ball feels like it's half deflated!

Yup you can continue once game is released.

In limited videos I've seen, the lighting looks really good. I presume it isn't progressive though?

The lighting was an issue in demo but it's been improved in full version.

Especially long low balls to wingers or advanced midfielders which can then run at the fullbacks or center halves.

In addition, the low driven shots feel just about spot on. This is something I don't think PES got right (at least judging from the demo). I've slotted in from 10 or 12 yards a few times and each one has looked like a goal that could easily have happened in any Premier League game.
How can your perform the low driven shot?
And how do you get the long through balls to work?
Do you have to be on manual passing?

As someone who thought the Journey was dumb when it was first announced. I actually liked what I saw of it last night. I played it for about 2 hours. Didn't get very far in even in that time. But the way they are handling it is by far the best story driven sports mode to date. Way better than anything NBA 2k has done. Yes the cut scenes are cheesy. But the presentation overall is pretty good. They actually make you do drills to train. They present you with your information in a visually appealing way also. And the part where you pick the team I thought was fantastic. How they prepared a little speech for each team. And commented no how well you'd fit and how soon you'd likely to get playing time.

Aside from that I didn't check anything else out. And I haven't played enough to comment on gameplay yet. But I can say so far it feels like a shell of the beta on the pitch.

Thanks for this, I am still going to keep my preorder for FIFA this year. I feel like I will at least find some fun in the gameplay this year especially if the journey is as good as I've been hearing.

This sounds promising! Esp. considering you can actually pick your team. Def. would not have been well received if you could only play with MANU.

Yeah you go through the exit trial. You play two 11v11 games. And do some drills. And you are earning a rating the whole time. The goal is to finish in the top 10 among everyone in the trial. The higher you finish, the more teams offer you a chance. The first time I finished first and every team was a choice for me. I got it first time without even really trying. But I didn't choose a top tier team, because of playing time. I went with M'boro. As they sounded like the team to get the most playing time early.
