Does FIFA 17 have CPU v CPU mode?

I know there is Player Lock where you can control one position on your club, but can you actually play CPU v CPU mode and just be a Manager?

Does the game let you put the controller in the center so you can just watch and manage the games?

This wasn't available in FIFA 16.

For sure you will be able to play CPU vs CPU "Play Now" friendly exhibition games. But it remains to be seen if it can be played in Career and/or Tournament modes. I kind of possed a similar question in another thread and someone did say "yes we can play CPU vs CPU games" in career mode, so it makes me hope EA finally came to their senses. But it would be nice if someone with early access to the full FIFA 17 game can confirm that it is available in Career and Tournament modes.

PS: there is a mod available that can be applied to the FIFA 16 PC to allow CPU vs CPU games in Tournament mode. I have successfully applied the mod to my game. But I believe console users are SOL and I am not sure if the same mod will work on FIFA 17 since rumor has it, the file structures of this game are different.

Sorry guys, hate to be the bearer of bad news. But you can NOT play cpu vs cpu in career in 17. Just like in 16. It wont let you advance unless you control a team.

Coz i tried the demo ...in friendlies and the gameplay was epic and realistic !

So disappointing that they don't allow this. Madden even has the CPU vs CPU workaround this year. Very frustrating when people ask for it year after year. It seems like this is now the lone sports franchise that won't allow this type of play in a franchise or career type mode.

Well, that will be a no purchase for me once again. PES 17 does not look good enough for me to buy since I still have PES 16 and there are no significant changes where I should drop more money, so no new soccer games this year.
