Scouting players positions

Has anyone else notice when you are scouting a player for transfer and when you sign them they are a different position.

Example: i wish i could remember his name but i was scouting a player that was listed as a RW and when i got the transfer agreement and when to offer a contract he was listed as a RM.

Also,i created my self in the creation centre and added him to the im playing with in CM. I created him as a LW but now in the game he is listed as a LF i know its not a big difference but it seems that there is something with he players positions.

I just wish we could scout by position. May times I've needed say a LB but kept getting midfielders.
