This will be my deciding factor on whether to purchase this game or not.

Yup. I think you can edit teams and adjusttactics though.

Yeah I think they do too. Once I figured out what the AI likes to do I noticed that is all they try to do each game.

Worst part is I see situations where they could do other things and they just don't.

Same situations as in previous FIFAs in my opinion, AI is too hell bent on doing what it deduces is the 100% safe option.

Once you see what those are during the match you can just give those to the AI because they are usually passive options and pose no threat.

I won't go into specifics as not to spoil the game for others enjoying it.

I've definitely experienced more varied tactics by the AI than in previous FIFAs.

Man City with Guardiola definitely plays a different style than e.g. Liverpool with Klopp.
It's the first time I really feel the difference between team that put a focus on possession (City, Barca), pressure (Liverpool) or just good defending (Atletico).

Nonetheless one thing that still annoys me is that even low-league teams can play like Barca as long as they have the possession tactic.

I had no problem scoring goals against Man United, Liverpool, Dortmund etc.
But as soon as I play a low-star team that puts it's focus on possession and short passing I have no chance at all.
The AI passing rate is still pathetically high (85-95% with pass error slider turned up to 60) and it's nearlly impossible to put pressure on them.
