Does CF sit more front or ST in fifa's formation?
i am so confused the usage of players with these two positions, which one is supposed to sit at the front, and which one is supposed to sit more behind? And I want to know the function of the two positions too, thanks!Tags: None -
Re: Does CF sit more front or ST in fifa's formation?
I mean centre forwards usually drop deeper behind the striker. Look at a guy like Rooney when he was in his peak form. He was a prototypical CF, slotting in behind van Persie. Guys like van Persie or Diego Costa are your prototypical strikers with the sole mentality of putting the ball in the back of the net. While a CF can score, they tend to create more opportunities than an out-and-out striker.Comment

Since the latest update the Striker sits much deeper in the midfield. It's happening to me in almost every game since the patch. Might need to change the instructions manually for him to push in behind the back line.Comment

Honestly, irl formations are very fluid and have more to do with defensive positioning than anything else.Comment

Man United has been bad. Ibra comes way back into the center circle to receive passes even when I'm on the attack. That one stands out as the worst but I've seen in it with just about every team. There's a few comments about it over in the Slider Forum. I'm sure it's something that can be corrected.Comment

You wouldn't play with all 3, the CF is the CAM, it's basically the same position. Irl the CF/CAM is usually played by a #10. In game I'd just use whichever of your CAMs is the best goalscorer.

Dybala, Rooney (in his day), Muller, Gotze are a lot different than Coutinho, Isco, Iniesta, Kaka.Last edited by RonMexico1992; 11-18-2016, 05:46 PM.Comment

Re: Does CF sit more front or ST in fifa's formation?
It varies depending on the player and the team, but generally the roles are quite similar and occupy similar space on the field. That's all I was really communicating.
In game however, it doesn't really matter at all.Comment

Oh yeah for sure. A CF is basically a second striker that doubles as a playmaker, while a CAM/#10 is a playmaker that doubles as a goalscorer.

They occupy the same space but where they sit has nothing to do with how they play, their role and how they blend in with the team.Comment
