    Youth Academy player won't sign

I've never had this happen. I tried to sign my top YA player and he's refusing to sign. He says the contract offer is too long. He's requesting a 0 year contract at $550. I offered 1 year since I obviously can't offer 0. On the 2nd try I upped the offer to $700 and he had the same response.

Has anyone else experienced this? Will he eventually accept? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Offer one year and a lot of money.

Had that happen to men once. Stop wasting your time on him, he will not sign with your club no matter what.

I offered my guy 1 year deal at $50k/week and he still declined.

I actually wound up being able to sign my guy, so it is possible. He stayed in the YA and I'd re-offer again about every week. Finally, in January he accepted. I'm guessing that it had something to do with a reset for the January transfer window, but it's only a guess.

Interesting. Mine wasn't around either of the transfer windows/new calendar year so he cancelled his contract before we came close.
