Every Fifa I played when there's a battle at midfield the team attacking usually recovers it. Whether it's from a tackle or interception it just feels scripted and it doesn't feel natural to me at times. Am I assuming things or is this a legacy issue that needs fixing?

U playing vs CPU? Or h2h?

I only play h2h, and I can say it feels this way sometimes. But, I think 17 is the first FIFA I can remember where there actually is some nice dynamic midfield play. So, I tend to see both winning and losing there. But, I have seen some absolutely ridiculous things where the ball just absolutely bounces forward no matter wth I do!! Lol. Often, this is Ronaldo or something, so I think it can def depend on the player controlling the ball at the time.

But, ultimately, I think the game is 'free' enough that u can break out of that cycle. Sometimes, I find myself moving a player in the exact opposite direction my instincts want. This often pulls your next player switch to move a player in a different direction and can get that ball. But, overall, if u can just watch that ball closely enough and anticipate the timing of your opponent running and trying to fend u off, u can get it.

But, yes, sometimes it feels like no matter what u do the ball moves forward.

I play both user vs CPU and h2h and it is a problem with both throughout this series. I do agree it is a little improved on 17 but it's still noticeable and doesn't feel natural/organic. It's always expected or I see it coming in terms of midfield play.
