Re: What is the Release Clause?
Another example would be you sign a player to 4 year deal for x amount of wages. In that contract if you know that player is highly value you can add in transfer value of any mount usually it is more than what the club paid for. Any team can trigger that release cause if they choose to pay that amount but than it is up to the player to accept the deal. Look at the recent Neymar deal that took place earlier this summer. -

Release clause refers to, in a contract, a clause that imposes on a football club wishing to acquire a player under contract to pay money, with the substantial bid of the clause money, to the original club to acquire said club's player from Wiki.

Re: What is the Release Clause?
If you try and set a release clause that high, the agent will say no.
If they don’t have a release clause, then they can’t be bought without your consent.Comment
