Can anyone confirm if career mode is still capped at 15 years? I love to start as a low quality team and work my way up to better leagues and better jobs. I also like to sim a fair bit so I can get through 10-15 years quickly but i hate how it just ends after 15 when I feel like it is just getting good.

I think I'll go with Italian a team from Serie B, Parma. The club was one of the bigger clubs of italian football in 90s and early 00s. It got promoted back to Serie B for this season, after problematic years with bankruptcy etc.

I'm trying to get the club back to Serie A and maybe even to Europe if possible, in five seasons or so. Little bit similar with SteveFBC's series in youtube, Return to Glory, but with more modest objectives.

I'm also trying to keep the career as realistic as possible, from transfers to the playing style on the pitch. I started to keep eye on my team's average age when I was playing 17. Usually I'd just buy players under the age of 25 or so but now I'm trying to focus on buying players of all sorts of ages. I think it will give little more realism to the career and adds a bit difficulty as well, when all of your players in the starting XI won't become +5 overall in a season. It's a bit sad that many players' overall decreases quite quickly after becoming 30 years old. They would still be useful in pitch but there's always some young player who might be better after a while so most of the times the young one gets selected.

I also started my journey with Parma. I usually like to start with a lower level team and work my way up to a job offer from a bigger market team.

I don't remember in past years having such a stingy budget, however.

Besides the obvious stuff of listing players for loan and transfer. Is there any ways to get a little more money to spend? I do like the Release Clause feature a lot.

I am simming the first year and then playing all of the games starting the 2nd season. Hoping to put my mark on the roster and get the youth academy rolling. Crossing my fingers by the next time the Transfer Window opens I'll have some more money to spend. Even $5-7M to get a decent player to add to the mix, while my young guys progress.

I like using teams that are not very good. I just wish it wasn’t so easy to move up in cm.

Makes no sense to me when I do good with a 2nd division team and chelsea and barca come asking for my services. There should be a slider for job offer realism

Will be starting, as always, with the greatest club in the world - FC Schalke 04. Gonna check out the third German League, too. SpVgg Unterhaching is my first choice here. Since TSV 1860 München are in the fourth tier now, Germany needs a new dominant club from the bavarian area.

I'm going to start my career mode with Sparta Rotterdam. I chose them because I have never played with a club in the Eredivise before, and I generally like the challenge of playing in unfamiliar leagues and learning about them the beginning stages of a career mode. Other reasons include the fact that Rotterdam is a major Dutch city so if I eventually have domestic/ European success it seems reasonable that a major club would come from a larger city. I also really like Sparta's logo.

This season I decided I will move up two levels from professional to legendary, as I hope this will lead to more realistic results (ex. struggling against Ajax and PSV, but being able to compete with the lower quality clubs). My overall goal is to make the Europa League within the first three seasons (unless my club objectives set higher targets), and to stick with some highly restrictive house rules which prevents me from signing players better than my starting XI, and realistic YA players (ex. cannot sign players with potentials greater than 75 OVR or so as any player with a greater potential overall would likely sign with a larger club). I would also try my best to sell any player I receive an offer for, if that club is better than mine. I will also not be able to scout players from leagues/ countries not adjacent to The Netherlands to begin with. After my first three seasons are up, if I haven't received an offer to manage another team for a higher wage, I will move to another team which I will deem appropriate based on my results, or stay with the club.

I considered starting with were a German 3rd league team (but that seems to be a popular route), and the worst team in the game which I would assume to be a recently promoted Irish club.

My decision to narrow it down to a Prem League team was pretty easy since I'm on PS4 instead of PC. I cannot stand the fake stadiums that FIFA has always had, and the generic presentation for leagues like Serie A look pretty awful compared to the authentic ones. The Premier League has every stadium and the presentation elements are top notch. Not to mention the atmosphere is great as well.

One question though: Is there any way to start a Career as a manager but keep the existing manager in place? Like, keep Conte if you pick Chelsea etc???

No, unfortunately not. You have to create your own.

Have already started one with Crystal Palace, as I always like to start with a mid-table(ish) team - lost to Huddersfield and drew with Liverpool but have scored 1 goal, so at least I'm doing better than them irl!

With the addition of Atlanta United, Minnesota, and updated MLS presentation, I can actually say I plan to start a career in MLS. I'll probably go with my favorite FC Dallas.

Last year, I went a couple seasons with Fulham. This year, I think I may focus my second career on the Bundesliga. It may be fun to start in the German 3rd Division and work my way up. I'm just not sure I'm ever patient enough for that. Haha

Tottenham, I've dreamed of seeing them won a major trophy and it will be a shame if this core team does not win one. I can at least control what happens in the game!
