Yeah, so lemme guess EA, still no patches regarding the absolutely woeful defending in this game?
I tried Tactical defending, Legacy defending and NONE works. My players will just skip pass the player, or get dragged and if they are made to change direction, they go slowmo, leading to easy 1 on 1 situation.

This happens a LOT vs AI. It is awful online too where matches end in hockey like results (5:4, 7:5, 11:6, etc.)

EA you fecked up defending royally this year. The game is unplayable like that. The defense is broken and AI does nothing to help you, in fact, when they try to help, it gets much worse.
The only way to counter this somewhat is switching to Park the Bus strategy as soon as you lose the ball and pray for AI to defend a bit for you.

It is even more apparent when you KNOW AI will score the goal becaue game doesn't allow you to switch to player you want and I use right stick switching and not LB to switch lol. You can just watch how AI scores and you cannot do anything about it .
Sadly sliders are no go in FUT modes.

This sounds great to me, although I hadn't really experienced any of the bugs mentioned.  The adjustments to the passing speed and accuracy sound awesome though.  I only wish PES would actually patch the game and publish specific notes like this, Konami is terrible about their post release support though, other than adding all those amazeballs face scans.

info0 I don't know man, I'm really not having anywhere near the defensive issues that you seem to be having, and I rarely have any problems switching players.  I generally just play against the CPU on World Class, but I'm able to get a clean sheet here and there and they rarely blow me up for more than 2 goals.  I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement with the AI, but it's not even close to a game breaker for me personally.

Do you play Career Mode or do you play FUT? Trust me those 2 are separate.

I have no problems with Career Mode whatsoever, but FUT is quite a different league and always was.

Rarely do I break stuff, but here, I almost broke 2 controllers. FIFA 17 defensively was solid, FIFA 18 is nightmare and no, it doesn't reward skill. Forget it. If guys like Tass, Gorilla, Hektic have issues with defending, there might be an issue... (that doesn't stop Gorilla from topping the charts every week though xD).

Also I would love FIFA to implement PES defending (since they rip off all good PES parts anyway).

I usually just play quick games on World Class but I definitely don't think it's fair to say that there's no skill involved in defending.  I generally work pretty hard blocking passing lanes and bodying up on players to dispossess them, and defending in the box is very delicate, which it should be.   I've found it most effective to just not really use the standing tackle button, it leaves you too vulnerable.  I just anticipate which way the guy is going and put myself in his path, it frequently knocks the ball loose.  I'm not saying my defenders never let me down, but I find that if I'm quick about switching to the guy furthest back on the line in pressure situations, I can keep players in front of me for the most part.
I don't find the defending in PES to be all that great either, to be honest, although the teammate pressure command always works much better than FIFA.  There's still waaaaaaaaay to much space on PES and really no midfield battles as a result.  Still a great game, don't get me wrong, but it's heavily weighted towards the offense in my opinion.

The defending in FUT drives me insane! in CM with the community sliders its manageable, but then when I switch to squad battles in FUT (because I'm terrible against actual humans) I want to break things!

One fix in Career Mode. One. Also, they still didn't bother to fix it so that we can edit players to be CMs instead of only CDMs or CAMs. No mention of fixing the CPU istarting backups most of the time in Career Mode matches, either. I don't know why I keep buying this game. Those are really serious issues that they're not even ACKNOWLEDGING.

Ligue One presentation as it's been rumored on the EA Forum.

Atletico's Dark Teal Third Kit.

Additional Third Kits for clubs in EFL to avoid Kit clashes against Premier League clubs in FA Cup & League Cup.

Interesting. I play on legendary with largely default sliders and haven’t had defensive woes. If I use a top tier team, I’m almost always leading the league in clean sheets by a wide margin. If I play with a mid tier or low tier team, I’m still top 3 or 5 in clean sheets and goals conceded. I don’t want to be ‘that’ guy, but, maybe turn down the difficulty until you improve? This game is absolutely not broken and the fact that you feel like it is makes me think you’re playing above your skill level.

Since when are user created rumors on the forums indicative of what should be in the game? They’ve never said anything about it, and there hasn’t been any public deal made with Ligue 1 about their broadcast package.

Good luck getting them to update third kits though, lol. That’s rare.

@GoDuck1224 read my next comment. Don't dare to compare slider involving game modes to Ultimate Team modes where you have no option to edit anything.

Trust me, you're comparing apples to oranges here. I have no issue playing Career Mode and trashing teams 7-0 on World Class or Legendary with default sliders, but try FUT Squad Battles to see what I mean about defending being broken. IF you don't break anything, I will congratulate you.
And yes, people do try to be competitive, but EA can say feck you anytime. I dominated the game once shooting 15 times 9 on target (using all manual settings), while AI managed 2 shots. 2 went in after my defense went to sleep. Couldn't clear the ball, win the ball, couldn't pass. That **** happens. Plus when will EA give us an option to turn the ****ing auto-sliding/clearance off?!

I swear to God I lose my nerves whenever that automatic **** happens and I could have possession still. This game is broken. No way to defend it. FIFA 17 in comparison was solid product. Can't say that about FIFA 18 yet.

We need a fix for transfers (loans, sell, buy, pre-contracts) after the January window.


I Germany (during preseason cups) there is a black ref that has a white head. Also, if that ref is the 4th official, he has an invisible board.


Low number of transfer request after season 1.
Unrealistic number of loans turned down after year 1 (by the player).


There are a few personal issues, but the issues above are big problems.
