    Player Match Ratings

Something I've noticed in FIFA over the years is that user controlled teams' player ratings are significantly higher than CPU ratings (such as in career mode).

Is there anything to be done about that (aside from intentionally playing poorly)? I always notice little things like that and they bug me

    Re: Player Match Ratings

I actually think player ratings are pretty spot on. At the end of most matches I have a general feeling of who played well and it’s usually reflected in the ratings.

      Re: Player Match Ratings

Player ratings are based on pass accuracy, dribbles completed, tackles won, shots on target, etc, etc.

The CPU (in my experience) typically has less than 50% possession, very few shots on target, etc, etc (even if you lose to them) - which lends to lower match ratings.

Other than messing with AI accuracy sliders (decrease passing error, etc) and playing on the highest difficulty level (which I already do when I play the AI) - I don't think there is much of anything you can do about that.

The issue isn't really with the ratings system - it's the way the AI typically plays. Every once in awhile they seem to actually play good and will create more chances than you, but 9 times out of 10 if you lose to the AI you will have 15 shots on target and one goal and the AI will score 2 goals on their only shots of the game.

      It's FIFA.
