No way EA doesn't snatch this up. Career mode will only get minimal implementation, but even some presentation elements will be a huge difference from "champions cup" garbage stuff. FUT will get tons of specialty stuff like always. Regardless, this is a deal they have to make and we will all benefit from stupid PES not having this license. That awful game shouldn't be given the chance to have any licenses.

I'm glad for this news. Let the game that can better utilize the licenses have them. So much of PES is dependant on customization anyway. Maybe they can spend the money not used on licenses to improve other areas for their fans.

This license is better suited for EA anyway. Konami struggles to get individual licenses for some of the smaller clubs that make up the group stage/playoff rounds.

If EA can add the Bundisliga presentation a few weeks after their season started they can definitely incorporate the UCL.

Sometimes EA has flopped when they've bought licenses. However, with the EPL and La Liga, they have done a fantastic job so I'm excited to see what they do with the CL license.

A lot people seem to forget about Fifa using the license for 3 years prior to Konami obtaining it. They put out a separate game from their main installment and they were not very good. Many fans at the time were confused why the liscene couldn't be implemented in the mainline game. I honestly don't see EA using it any better than Konami if they take another shot at it. Especially not for our benefit.

It wouldn't be to our benefit, but think about all the $$$$$$$ they can make in FUT from it.

It seems some Fifa commentators are already recording CL related lines:
