FIFA 18...Worth dropping $60 on for singleplayer?

As someone who is solely an offline sports gamer and one who prioritizes gameplay/AI above all else when it comes to a sports game, is FIFA 18 worth $60 or should I just go back to PES, maybe wait for a sale? Haven't played a FIFA title since '15 (which was abysmal) and I've wanted a change of flow from PES recently, so I was wondering if this game was any good offline, or if it was the typical EA Sports game where if you don't spend hundreds on cards, they don't care about you at all.

Wait for a sale, I don't hate it nearly as much as some people here, but the offline single player experience is not worth anywhere near $60.

If you're on Xbox, it shouldn't be much longer before that place it in the vault. It's only $30/yr.

I was going to say this, but then I remembered that the World Cup add-on drops in 20 days, and I think that will potentially affect it's vault release date til after the World Cup.

I really wish Sony wasn't a bunch of morons and partnered with EA for the EA access also. They thought it would hurt PS Now sales. LOL. What sales. PS NOW is a ****ing joke.

Definitely not worth it for more than $25 now. There's always a monthly 60% discount on origin since February. Hopefully it won't be different this month because of the World Cup dlc, but unfortunately that's a possibility.

Yea, I heard about the WC DLC coming out and figured the game would stay $60 for a while because of it. That's what got me to create the thread in the first place. Good to know people generally recommend getting it for $30 or less, I almost bought it on the PS Store full price. I'll just wait for a sale, or keep my eyes out for a cheap used copy.

Generally every company will take better care of the people who spend more, that's just good business.

Looks like FIFA 18 base and Ronaldo Edition are half off on Origin right now. You called it. I was not going to buy FIFA this year, but always get the World Cup ones. It sucks that they didn't make a stand alone, and I would have pre-ordered it at $60. At least I don't have to fork over full retail for a lesser product.
