A lot of times people claim to get caught from behind but usually the defender has a slight head start or there's momentum/inertia in play. Very rarely will you see a straight foot race where both players start at the same time and from the same point.

How do you push the ball out?

The devs made it public this past summer that they f'ed up last year. They've committed to being more cautious with changes to gameplay. We shall see...

Right stick. When sprinting with plenty of space in front of you, you'll want to do double knock-ons (two movements with the right stick). If you don't use these, you will get caught.

Exactly. And even with all the people complaining about a catch up bug or whatever you want to call it, I've yet to see one single video posted showing the issue.

Is there any of them running without the ball, it seems like there isn't a stat for dribbling speed. I remember PES use to have a dribbling speed stat back in the day.

normally i would say it's a formula of speed minus xx% with ball minus x% of ballhandling (?). idk, i'm not the one making soccer-games over a decade now

if you run real fast with no opponent in front of you, usually you forward the ball/push the ball very far forward and run,run,run... in Fifa it's the Right-Stick to the direction you are running to.
