Oh my. This just happened to me. By the fifth corner I just resigned myself to my fate.

    ‘This is going in.’

5’6 winger proceeds to leap between my two 6’3 CB’s and smash a header to the top left corner.

    ‘Whatever. Let it end.’

I bet neither of your 6'3 CB's even attempted to jump for the ball. I hate that there are certain times you can predict that the AI is going to score and 90% of the time they either score, miss a wide open net or hit the crossbar within 30 seconds

Oh no, they jumped. Higher than him. Didn’t matter. Their heads missed the ball, and somehow went to him.

My ongoing beef with the scripting is that it always seems that my players are always brain dead whenever I start a new season or a new tournament during my career, regardless of the way I’ve been playing leading up to it. Doesn’t matter that I’m fielding a team of all 85 plus rated players against a second division team, the AI is going to dumb my defense and play the game of the century. And throw some rain in for good measure. In Saudi Arabia.

I don’t mind wrinkles thrown in for a challenge, but it’s blatantly cheap. The AI isn’t nerfed the same way. I can see it taking a minute to round into form, but it should be both teams struggling. Or done through continuously having the AI use tactics to make it a chess match. The way they appear to approach the need to give something resembling variety in the matches just seems like it has been implemented in a lazy manner. But that plays into what seems to be the priority, FUT and online play. Offline AI is obviously becoming a lower priority.
