Yeah really. Right now it's a soccer game with rugby rules. You can basically get run over and no foul will be called.

Does EA know that a large number of goals are scored off free kick set pieces?

I'm able to draw fouls against the CPU, I just rarely commit any because the tackle buttons are so useless.

I'm not sure how I feel about the AI defender stuff.  I'm all for competent AI, especially on defense, but I can admit that currently my teammates are frequently winning balls on their own.  The fatigue tweaks are much needed, hopefully they work as intended.

Patch seems to play a lot better in my opinion I must admit I was close to giving up this year was really not enjoying it at all but patch 1.4 may have revived my interest a little. I am still enjoying PES more this year

Haven't played many games but it does feel better to me too. Attacking play is more fluid and I didn't have near as many tackles go back to the CPU. On the other hand, the CPU defenses are so open, some of the goals I'm scoring feel pretty cheap. Wing play especially is just so easy to exploit.

Still, enjoyed the few matches I played more than any I'd played in the last week.

Why do you think tackling buttons are useless? I use them all the time. (Well, not really slide tackling, but standing tackling I use regularly.)

Apparently not. Its ridiculous honestly. One of their staff admitted to seeing the bug and passing it along back at launch but it's been 2 months and multiple updates and still nothing. In Fifa 20 we probably will only have 1 save slot if the mode is even in that game. They might just get rid of it and rename it Fifa FUT 20 since that's all they pay any attention to.

FIFA 19 has been an absolute disaster. I'm STILL waiting to start a Career Mode. They can't seem to get anything right when it comes to squad updates and face scans. Screwed up some stuff again, last night.

FIFA 19 has been an absolute disaster. I'm STILL waiting to start a Career Mode. They can't seem to get anything right when it comes to squad updates and face scans. Screwed up some stuff again, last night.

FIFA 19 should be mentioned in the same breath as Fallout 76, it is an utter garbage game. I love football with a passion, and this game has been going down hill for several years, but this has got to be the absolute nadir for this series. Utter trash gameplay, a completely broken career mode and now a lagging job from the the licensing and presentation team which has been FIFA saving grace for years. I have completed a grand total of 12 games and I have not had a single shooting or penalty foul called at all. I cannot win any contested headers, I used to love manual passing, but now it's total garbage ruined by the auto-switch and manipulative move assist system. I hate this game and this company with a passion!

I can see this game being enjoyable if you've not played fifa in the last 10 years or on the current generation of consoles before this game, but otherwise it's just a rehash of the same stuff with tons and tons and tons of bugs... and no save slots.

Gameplay on the pitch has been a blast with a few slider tweaks since last patch. BUT, this -1 bug in attributes in career mode is unthinkable and ruins CM. Does anyone know if this if for every league in CM? any workarounds???
