It'll be quite funny to see all of the FIFA YouTubers playing with their Ronaldo cards sporting a generic logo. For a company that could print money, it's a pretty big miss.

I wouldn't be surprised if EA offered up an obscene amount of cash for exclusivity on the FIFPro license so PES can't have the players represented under that deal in the game any more.

Soccer leagues at the highest level dont need or care about more exposure. Every international soccer fan knows the EPL, La Liga and Serie A. All those leagues care about is revenue and exclusive licenses provide the most revenue.

The die-hard fans will always be there but increased exposure, especially in new markets (think India, China, etc...) is huge. Look what happened in the last few years when the EPL invested heavily in the USA. We get preseason matches here (plus with the other European big boys), fanfests from NBCSN, and even a few planned EPL league matches upcoming ala the NFL at Wembley.

Chelsea bought Pulisic because 1) he's a damn good player and 2) he immediately makes Chelsea a HUGE draw in the US. Ambition like this is the reason why the EPL, as a whole, has really separated themselves financially from the rest of the world. People would rather transfer to say West Ham than AC Milan. 10-20 years ago you'd tell someone they're crazy for doing that.

Blame FIFA for this. They've played the exclusive licensing game for far too long. About time PES hit back hard.

Still blaming EA for this. There is absolutely no reason for them to lose Juve. They can ABSOLUTELY outpay Konami, and are for whatever reason too stingy to do so.

Hopefully this will be a painful lesson for them, they lost $750 million in stock investments in the immediate aftermath of this being announced.

Anyone see how long this deal is? It seems like it might be a one year thing. The official Juve posts keep saying ‘this year’ and ‘2020’ and being pretty unspecific about the future. I bet EA lowballed them and they’re trying to use Konami as leverage because EA will see how much losing this team hurts them. I know EA is worth billions but there is no way the big wigs aren’t looking at a $750 million loss in 2 days and saying ‘Uh oh.’

Pro clubs needs to kill it this year otherwise I’m not sure I’ll have much use for this game. No Juve? This is a complete joke

pro clubs is the main reason I buy FIFA every year.. by far the best mode in the game for me. and in all of sports gaming ever. and I heard there is an announcement coming for this mode here soon in the coming days

they are actually updating this for this year ... sounds kind of exciting rumors

but we will see

what's funny about EA though.. worst than this liccensing BS..

is they replace the useless journey mode with 3 v 3 , 4 v 4, and 5 v 5 futsal and hype everyone up including myself who has been asking for this since like fifa 98 but get this.. NONE of that is online ...

how can they be this dumb? no one will ever play that useless mode if it's offline only... I seriously can't believe this...

these modes should all be primarily online and where you can use your pro clubs virtual pro to play with others..

EA is stupid if they think a mode like this is going to be a big thing offline. People who play this game offline only play career mode. they are not going to be playing this BS

if one of EA announcements with pro clubs is to include microtransactions into this mode and or to iinclude the lobby as training pitch for practice with your other club members... then I will be excited about FIFA 20 again. and why would you say I be excited about them possibly including microtransactions into PRo clubs? well bc that means it will be one of the most focused driven modes on the game like FUT is then.. bc it will make them money.. FIFA has a very large online community and this is where this game is primarily made for.. everyone knows that but that online community is so big that they have even separate communities online.. there is the FUT folks but there is also the big pro clubs folks and they need to give some love to the PRO clubs community who has been there since the beginning... we demand it or we will not buy your game every year just to play pro clubs like we have been

This game is a no purchase for me because of this honestly. I'll stick with 19 and 17.

From the FIFA 20 Beta the kits for the fake Juvi are awful. Home Kit is monochrome Black, Away Kit is Yellow top and Blue shorts. EA must add a third kit since both kits will clash with Dortmund in Champions League and even Watford.

I don't want this fake team affecting my career so i'll do the following.

Put all the Juventus squad to free agents and fill this fake team full of free agents with low ratings.

When I set up my career I'll put a Serie B team in the Serie A and swap the fake team with them. Hopefully with a poor squad they'll stay in Serie B and won't affect my career.

It won't be authentic having this team in the Champions League.

If I get FIFA 20 (a big IF) I won’t go that far. But I will remove them from Champions League for another Italian team. Even though they’re perennial contenders because I just can’t stomach the generic name and kit.

I can live without the odd team like Juve, but losing the Brazilian league makes all the other SA leagues pointless to me and "the rest of the world" section is truly pathetic. Honestly I really don't want to support EA anymore if they can't be bothered to pay a little extra to secure licenses.
