How can I win "simmed" games?

Is there a "trick" to winning simmed games? My record in simmed games is appalling bad!

I am doing a bit of an accelerated career mode ... so I want to be able to sim some matches to keep things moving along.

I just completed a season in LaLiga with Sevilla - I played about 2/3 of the games, and simmed about 1/3 of the games:

RECORD IN PLAYED MATCHES (25) = 16W / 4D / 5L = 52pts (2.08 points per match)
RECORD IN SIMMED MATCHES (13) = 2W / 6D / 5L = 12pts (0.92 points per match)

That is a huge (statistically significant) difference!


Some context:
--- I am playing a youth edition sort of career, all of my players are YA players
--- My star rating for my team is 4.0 stars (mostly mid 70's, a few players in the low 80's)
--- The star ratings for other LaLiga teams are 3.5 - 5.0 stars (my current team is "average" for this league)
--- I finished the season with 64 pts ... this was good enough for 6th place and Europa qualification

There's no way to guarantee a win in a simmed game. You're just statistically more likely to lose an away match and win at home.

Sim them until you win. It might take 10-15 times on some games, but you'll get the result eventually.

It has to be 76.7 degrees outside, and raining. Not a hard rain, a soft drizzle. Then, cluck like a chicken while doing the hokey pokey.

Or, save the game b4 you sim. If you lose, reload, rinse and repeat.

The worst is when you try 10 times and lose all 10.......then you get a 1-1 result. Do you spin the wheel? Or take the point?

I can't tell you how many times I get sucked into spinning the wheel. Then I curl up in the fetal potion and rock myself to sleep.
