Using Youth academy players in your first squad

So I’m gradually learning this game and enjoying it. One area I. Career mode I can’t get into is the youth academy created players and having success with them.

Has anyone had success using these guys on your first squad? Or even better, more than 2 or so? How did you do it? Any hints?

They just seem behind compared to real life players. I don’t understand it

Wow, from the lack of any responses, I guess it shows how terrible the youth guys are. I’ll not use them.

Unless you need to use them I don't see a need for them right away. They need a lot of training, unless you happen upon one with a high starting overall. I've had a couple good ones here and there but the stamina issue usually outweighs their usefulness. Hard to justify using someone when they run out of energy after only 10 or 20 minutes.

Also a lot of people have thrown in the towel on 19 and are probably waiting for 20 to come out. This place is basically a ghost town compared to a few months ago.

A lot depends on what squad your using. Obviously the closer you get to the elite squads the harder it is for a youth academy players. On the flip side, if you’re using a League 2 side or German 3rd division (I think the lowest “tiers” of all the licensed leagues), the easier it because of the ratings and lack of a substantial gap between them and the rest of your roster.

You most likely have to play a few seasons too allow them time to progress which is reasonable to me, but a lot of FIFA CM players don’t have the patience to play 5-8yrs with one squad. That’s a lot of matches.

I don't use 'em, because I can't stand those generic faces. My ocd only allows me to use guys with scans. Lol!

I feel you. I will not sign any player that has a missing face.

Trade them to Ireland, there the get a lot of game time. Buy them back when they are 75 overall or higher. It's too bad u can't loan them for 2 years. I did it with 2 guys now they are in around 75 and will buy them back. Goalkepper u can train fast u don't need send them away.
