FIFA 22 might remove the option of full manual controls

FIFA 22 is introducing a new 'Competitive Control Setting' that will be forced on in FUT Rivals, FUT Champions, Online Seasons, Co Op Seasons, & Pro Clubs. So essentially it is mandatory in all online modes besides friendlies.

The issue with this setting is this one aspect of it: It locks through passes into Semi-assisted. This means full manual gameplay will be impossible for online.

For some reason instead of blocking assisted through passes from being an option (which would be a good thing), they are instead actively forcing semi-assisted.

FUMA is being removed from FIFA 22 after 14 years of being in the game.

Maybe it's because there's a lot of offline players on this board.
FUMA offline will not change.

Saying it will be removed is a bit disingenuous.

I get the issue and yes it sucks, but scare tactics normally aren't a good way to motivate, especially to a player base who seems to buy this game no matter what garbage EA is shoveling out.

i only play offline so i dont care what they do with online controls

It took 6 months after the game's launch, but this issue is now finally fixed with the release of Title Update #8.

You can now use manual through balls online.
