Well things just got interesting apparently I can only download the last gen version of the beta.

Probably because that’s what’s registered with EA. Last month I went on to my EA profile & updated saying I’m now only using a Series X.

I'm going to check mine now. I got Pro Clubs (the only thing I really played in 21) and Kickoff.

I received a code too for Play Now and Career Mode. Hoping it is for my PS5. I am out of town until Friday so I guess I will find out this weekend.

For those that care, there are no new leagues in Beta and all newly promoted teams kits are not updated. Well not there lol

Is anyone able to play the beta on the PS5? I have a message that says "You need to be online and have the right permissions to play the FIFA 22 Closed Beta. Please sign in with the account that you provided for access".

I am online and signed in with the correct account about the Quickplay modes, Kick Off and Play are all greyed out, only settings are available.

Yeah. I might try it still just to see if I can fix the midfield with sliders (unlikely) which was the deal breaker and reason for me abandoning '21.

I also have the system update beta for PS5. It tells you if a game is PS4 or PS5 on the home screen now.

Got my beta for career and play now. Playing a match now Liverpool vs United. Then on to my career. Yesterday I loaded it and it was just sitting on the menu and wouldn't let me click on anything but hopped on at 10:30 PST and it runs like clock work.
The game has promise. Running it on PS5.

Messed about for an hour. Uninstalled.

To bad the code was wasted on me, as I'm sure there are those that would have loved to give this a go. Would have been interested in the current gen version but as someone who bailed on '21 fairly quickly the last gen version of '22 seemed more of the same.

I played 1 game on ps5 and noticed a lot of differences. Players have more weight to them, they don’t look so floaty while running. The ball physics are noticeably different, especially on low shots. I’m going to play more later but lots of good things so far. I’m normally an offline player and actually prefer PES but this year is the most excited I’ve been for fifa. One negative is the midfielders still seem to not want to play defense in the box.

I agree, the overall feel seems better. The players seem more "loose" when dribbling, which is nice when you compare a guy who can dribble against a guy who should be passing. I didn't really get an opportunity to try out long shots yet, hoping they make a triumphant return from the "everything gets auto blocked" purgatory of 21.

They still didn't fix the way we edit players! You have to keep going back and finding the team you're editing. WHY did they change it to this in the first place?!

I like how it feels and for me it feels harder especially defending. Struggling on World Class whereas on 19 and 21 I was too good for WC but not good enough for Legendary. Lofted balls feel beautiful, crosses better, heading better, GKs mostly impressive. Lighting is noticeably better. My only negative so for is the AI laser guided one touch passes that I'm struggling to defend against and most games are goal fests. Mostly positive and looking forward to full release
