Omg this so stupid. It takes weeks like this to edit players. It’s already so stupid you can’t edit players outside career mode.

This applies to all EA betas. As just a random person like most of us are whether you get an invite or not is all just up to luck. I got one for '20 but not for '21 then got one for '22.
was registered with an old email but found the email with a code. much appreciated

If you have the Career Mode beta, go into edit player and look at Jack O'Connell of Sheffield United's face...

One of the best things about getting the beta is just reading the feedback in the forums. I won't go into any impressions about the game out of respect for EA's NDA but reading the FUT forums makes me think that the two sides (FUT vs Offline) aren't that far off when it comes to what we want in a footy game.

If you have access to the forum check out this post:

FIFA 22 Beta Comprehensive Review from a T200 Elite division player
          yesterday by LyricalGhost1906

It should be in top 3 "Answers" on the FUT General Feedback forum.

I don't agree with everything they say but they do a great job at articulating why it's important to the FUT community.

That was a very well thought out post in the Beta forum a rarity for any of the modes but ultimately it's everything I dislike about the direction of not only FIFA but sports titles in general.

I remember growing up and being amazed how each iteration of a game was more realistic both in graphics and resembling the sport. At some point there was a shift in mentality. Now it feels more like as long as it looks real and the basic concept of the sport is their let's turn it up to 11 and realistic gameplay doesn't matter.

I think there is/was a sweet spot for fun and realism in FIFA and other team sports games but I'm not sure if it's possible anymore.

Haven't been able to get a code or at least play a demo from someone I know yet. I hope that somehow a balance will be added to the fut champs so that the gap between donaters and non-ones is not so big

My nephew has a PS5 so I was using my PS account on there for a little while. I'd recieved a FIFA 22 Beta code which I used on my nephews PS5. I now have one myself and was wondering if it's possible to have that beta access on my console. FIFA 22 appears in my games library when I log into my account but there's no option to load the game, only pre-order. When I try to use the redeem code, understandably, it says it's already been used. Just wondering is it stuck on my nephews console without any way of getting it on mine?

FUT needs to be a separate game. Make it a free download, and as arcadey and cheesy as FUT players want it. No annual release, just regular updates as per fortnite.

For the rest of us who want a simulation/football game, keep it as it always has been. Annual release but focus on it reflecting what we see in real life.

You’ll never get a balance that’ll satisfy both sets of players. I detest FUT, how it exploits people, what it’s done to gameplay and how it takes priority over everything. The sooner it’s separate the better.

Wasn't sure what we were allowed to post during the beta, but since release is next week... playing on series x it was really obvious that there were many new animations. That was a bright spot visually and while playing. The game speed always seems to get sped up from beta to release every year so i don't buy too much into the beta gameplay when it's that different. All the fut kiddies whine and it gets changed back to the same as the previous year. It felt good in the beta, but i don't expect that to be what we get next week.

Create a club was pretty bleh... Choosing a super young squad meant you got players in their mid to late 20's... nobody in the teens. Seems crazy. Stadium editor was weak. GK kits were horrible and weren't able to be customized, which seems like a huge oversight. Stats during games are improved, but in the menus it's the same old garbage. No new stats. No stat tracking. Just the same old stuff we had 10 years ago. The way i would summarize the beta is it's just the same old half baked EA features.

I had fun with gameplay and I'm sure I'll enjoy the game for what it is, but it's crazy that create a club is their big feature and the rest of manager career is untouched and yet somehow create a club is half baked and filled with bugs. Didn't expect much else, but it's disappointing. I'll grab some free EA Play hours next week and see how the finished product is, but expectations are pretty low.

Sounds about right! Create a club wouldn’t have taken much work or resource, especially since it’s very limited. It allows them to not really touch any other mode before moving onto their cash cow.

They’ll never change whilst the competition is weak and FUT is in its current guise whereby they can fleece people.

Since we're talking random things from the beta... I know most turn off the commentary but Stewart Robson is probably the most lifeless and uninspired commentary I've heard in any recent sports title. He 100% sounds like he didn't want to do it.

He is awful and so is Alex Scott. What's worse are that sites are covering "what a stunning and brave move" it was to include Alex instead of actually covering the game. I think all of the review sites are going to give a 1 to 2 point increase for that alone.

Stewart said that doing FIFA was one of the most difficult things in his life while Alex sounds vapid and uninterested. So FIFA 22 sounds like someone is having trouble with their script while the other is reading off lines between bites of their sandwich at lunch.

What bothers me about the commentary is that they have the money to get people who cover all the different leagues. Instead, we have commentary for every single game that sounds more like the C rank of a Premier League match.

The old commentary team wasn't lights out but they all sounded capable and there are years of content there. They should have added more there PLUS add in more across the world.

Not saying Robson is the right choice, but he calls more than just English games in real life, which my understanding was a reason EA wanted him. He calls Seria A, La Liga, plus UCL matches. Not saying he's who I'd pick but pretty sure his knowledge of different competitions is a strength, not a weakness, of Robo.
