Need. A. Foul slider. Or something. It’s embarrassing. Playing with some sliders def makes it more fun, but the no fouls vs the CPU is an immersion breaker IMO.

Yeah, like madden's issues with hardly any penalties being called in franchise, so many times the cpu just collides with you and takes the ball with no foul.
Games are so different when there's no consequences for illegal plays.
One thing that the NHL game does well is the sliders for different penalties and yet fifa can't even have one general foul slider.

Oh yeah. The madden penalties or lack thereof is killing me too. I’m assuming they did it for online play which is fine, whatever. Just give us working sliders and it’s a non issue.

I'm new to EA Play and jumped on the trial the other day. I still have 8hrs left and can't for the life of me find a way to buy the full version of the game? It only allows me to re-download the trial version even when I delete the app and all data..

The trial version is the full game. It's not a demo. It's 10 hours of the full game that will lock you out once the hours are up. There's not a separate full game download. If you've bought the full game then you get access again on release day... or a bit before release day if you're on Xbox and make a quick one day move to AUS or NZ lol

I thought there was a link in game that lets you purchase the full game license. Maybe that was in previous years.

For people c/o lack of fouls, not sure or saying this what you’re doing but a lot of it comes down to play style. If you’re constantly rushing down the wings you won’t draw many fouls.
1v1 dribbling typically ends in a foul if I bear my man, or when you’re defending the ball after a bit the cpu will foul.

But a quick change of direction, getting a step on the defender the cpu will either make an awful slide tackle or bad attempt at a steal.

Not always the case but hope it helps some of y’all.

It's super frustrating and one of the few glaring misses with 22's gameplay, but I think it's more complicated than online v offline, like so many other issues. Pretty sure it's got nothing to do with online play - there's plenty of fouling going on in multiplayer FIFA (refs making the right call is still def an issue though).

The issue is them being able to appropriately program the right mix of CPU error and aggressiveness. Simon Humber, one of the previous FIFA devs, used to say that if you think programming correct footballing AI, just imagine how hard it is to program one that is both competent but also makes mistakes. And then remember that of all the major sports, refs in football have the most interpretation to do and the most discretion. Also super hard to program.

I totally agree - the lack of fouls by the CPU is a glaring miss. But pretty sure it's also quite a bit more difficult and complex to solve than people think. Hopefully it's something they prioritize but you could imagine why EA hasn't focused on CPU fouls when it's only single player gameplay that's impacted and it's no easy or cheap fix.

I contacted EA: they said I need to contact Sony.
Which I did, but they seem to ignore me..no reply to my request for help.

I uninstalled the game, and now I'm in the same boat as you: Only have the option the buy the full game.. it's odd..

Let's hope they fix it. Supposedly they were looking into it. Last year something similar happened with Madden 21 and I couldn't play it until they released the vault version

Want to play this, but I have an Xbox series s don't want to waste that 10 hours because people said it's incredibly blurry and laggy. Is this a hundred percent true?

I am going to wait for a patch. It seems like it should be easily fixed.
