Re: Is ULTRA ATTACKING overpowered vs. CPU? (Cheating?)
It's a bit of an exploit yes, but I look at it like this: First, it's a single player mode so who cares. There's a ton of ways to make the game easier or harder. You do you.
But both the CPU and us have our inherent advantages over the other. The CPU "cheats" by being able to see things, never have issues with player switching, no constraints with playing with a controller, and can react and play at a speed that can feel not possible for a human.
We cheat because we know it's a game, we know it's limitations and exploits, we know what is and isn't possible, we know the CPU's limitations and the flaws in the AI. We can also make in game tactical changes the CPU cannot, we can setup tactics for each opposition, we can build our squad in ways that allow us to mitigate weaknesses and play to our strengths.
Knowing that going ultra attack stresses FIFA's defensive system is one of our ways to "cheat" if you will but at the end of the day most games have their exploits and cheats, so all in good fun and up to you how you play. -

It also uses A LOT of energy from your players. In one off games, this might not mean as much. So, again, you do you.
But if you are playing a franchise mode, you will wear down guys and have to play more reserves in games.
There are things you can do to lessen the blow. In the individual instructions, for each position, go in and change players from trying to intercept a lot to balanced. So you get the benefits of some of the the ultra attack, but not use up as much energy.
Again, you can set things to be as easy or hard as you want. But yeah, if you are on a setting wear players are not getting fatigued full game of high pressure will run over the CPU.Comment
