Year in and year out this game baffles me. I am unable to keep my saved controller settings it always reverts back to some other setting. And now I cannot do a kick off with my profile because it says my profile information cannot be loaded. Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue

Change the controller settings (Auto/Semi/Manual) in the Home/Away screen OR in the matchup screen where you can change your lineup. They'll stick that way.
It's annoying, and has been a console issue for me as well, and I have to assume the main menu screen is a global thing (say for guests) while the other setting is user profile specific.
