Question - match score for players?

After a match I see each player has a scores like 6.8 or 7.2 or whatever. Can someone explain what this is? Does it take into account playing time. Defense or offense adjusted?

Any links to explain this? Not SUPER familiar with soccer/football stats yet but trying to learn.

Re: Question - match score for players?

This is effectively how well they played in the match. It takes a bunch of stats into consideration based on their role, etc. It's also kinda borked, depending on a bunch of things. But things like dribbles won, completed passes, assists, goals, tackles, all these things are taken into consideration.

Match rating affects a player's form. A player in good form means they have been consistently seeing decent match ratings like 7.0+. This also affects a player's development. Players in good form progress better.

In FIFA 23, quick simming a game, with a win, will see significant match ratings over the other sim where you watch the game.
