So much of this falls into the "wait, wasn't this already in the game" category, particularly when it comes to player roles and instructions. I imagine it'll feel like a half step improvement/difference over last year, at best, but I'm pretty cynical.

A lot of the tactical stuff feels like a shuffling of what already existed in the game, presented as new and fresh. The vanilla game will likely fall into the same old patterns. And whenever I hear anything about improved attacking play, more intelligent attacking runs, I think of how much I'm going to have to drop the run frequency slider. Hopefully the changes aren't extreme, because I actually think EAFC 24 is decently balanced once you reign in the run frequency on both sides.

The new d-pad options and visuals seem pretty cool tho. I like being able to do more without having to enter the pause menu, although that depends on actually having enough dead ball time to click through everything.

Sharing tactics with a code feels like something that will mostly be used to pass around whatever the game-breaking online meta is. Won't be useful for career mode or tournaments.
