My first go was with Liverpool, I was fired within 10 games, right so not cut out for the EPL just yet.

So now I am with FC Red Bull Salzburg, and I'm currently sitting at the top of the table 3 games into the season. I got the result against FK Austria, a draw to KSV Superfund (the worst team in the league) and another solid win over SV Ried.

I brought in a promising youngster from Crystal Palace and some flotsam from Chelsea. My scouting efforts have also paid off well, I got an 80 OVR youth from Spain. I might sell him for a fortune at the end of the season (only paid 1m for him, and I'd likely make 8-10m off him)

what are the odds that Im playing with KSV and yes Im the worst team in the league after 8 games
tied 1-1 in my first match, won 1-0 in the second and havent scored since...LOL

Trying my hand at Old Trafford I suppose.

Just got by the January transfer window sitting in third with two games in hand.

Made two purchases, the Diouf lad that will join the club in January, and Jack Rodwell.

Bradford City's First season has come to an end. Just been mashing games today lol. The magical run through the english cup came to an end for Bradford City aka "The U.S. Juniors". I lost 1-0 to Arsenal in the Finals, and was just not able to score anything. I had one shot go off the post and out in the 1st half, but that was it. After that my team seems to out match everyone else I played in league 2, I ended the season 1st place with 40-2-4 as my record, and I romped through to win the Johnstone Paint trophy very easily. I feel my team would be compared to a lower level Priemer League team as it is now, may have to bump up from world class(but from what i remember legendary is a cpu f u game after another). Will see how the first couple of league games go i guess.

Off season notes...Signing anyone seems hopeless lol. My manager rating is only a star and a half after the first season. This should be real interesting trying to compete with this squad if I move up to the championship. I wish I could priotize my scouting to a single country, however i still managed to get a ST from US thats rated 62 and 19 years old. I swear I thought i saw a blog that said we where going to be allowed to select our friendlies match ups...into the second season and its been selected for me again with Villareal and West Ham being the biggest of the 4. Would love to play the US national team, or an MLS side...oh well I guess. Oh yea, the end of the year "players of the year section" is still garbage....my keeper led all goalies with 24 or so CS, like 8 more than the 2nd guy, and nothing. Ibrahim scored 29 goals, and 15 assists...nothing haha. In fact none of my players were recognized at all...tsk tsk

When its the transfer period, look at the transfer list and then press search, and im pretty sure u can search by the last name (not 100% sure but this is how the older Fifas were). So if u know a players last name, search him up and try to sign him.


How much did u upgrade your scout to find someone like that??

4 1/2 stars, I always invest heavily in scouting at the start. The 8-12 million you blow on that recoups itself right quick. The kid is an absolute beast, definitely La Liga material he's been MOM in every cap thus far so I'm expecting that 80 OVR to turn into something like an 85-86. It's almost unfair, I have yet to run into a striker in the Austrian Bundesliga that can outpace him.

Unbelievable, I just pulled in another fantastic youth defender, this one is an 82 OVR from France. Fantastic, I couldn't even pull in these types of players when I had a 5 star scouting at the Pool. If this keeps up I'll have an iron clad backline of players who will only get better.

Does anyone know if your manager reputation has anything to do with the board patience with you. I hope that is the case as I started out with Madrid and now after winning 8 straight games. I'm on the verge of getting fired after back to back draws with Sevilla and Barcelona.

I'm hoping that your manager reputation is what has caused them to have me on that short of a leash. Because if not that is crazy that you can be fired for that. And really makes it stupid to start a manager mode with a big club.

I know Madrid goes through managers like a pornstar goes through condoms, but that is crazy.

Are the players you sign through Scouting having correct names from their respective countries? So for example, no longer will I have a guy named Jorge Luiz Lopez from France or Frank Debuchy from Spain?

9-3-0 with Notts County now after winning my first 6 straight, top of the league with 30 points, seven ahead of the two nearest competitors. My leading scorer, Delroy Facey, has scored 7 league goals while my VP has scored 3 -the first was a 30-yard free kick, while the other two were from the penalty spot (both in the same match too).

Since i focused my spending on my Fitness coach (currently on level 7 now), i had no cash for transfers, but fortunately i was able to sign 4 free agents just to add depth to my squad, especially on the wings. I actually considered selling Sol whose market value was about 3.5million quid. All the offers i was getting for him were from Greek clubs incidentally - Olympiacos, AEK and finally Pana all offered above market value - but i opted to keep him.

But despite a great start to the league, i got knocked out of the Carling Cup in the first round to Port Vale, losing 1-3 on penalties after a 1-1 match result (with my goal coming in the 90th minute). The board didn't set any League Cup-related objective for me though, so that result didn't affect my board confidence much at all.

I'm honestly not sure...i think its primarily down to meeting your board's objectives. Is your league objective to "Win the league" or just to "Qualify for ECC" ?

If it's to win the league and those two last results dropped you to second or worse, then thats probably why there has been a sharp drop in confidence. However, if its to simply finish in the top 4, and you are in the still top 4 after those results, then thats a bit weird...if that was the case then yes i'd say it has to do with your own managerial level too.

So, I just got fired from Celtic...17 wins, 3 losses, 6 draws...fired haha.

Off to Exeter City...apparently the point of this mode is to start at the bottom or you have to be in 1st place of your league every second of every day or you get fired.

I have started at Hercules (Div 2 Spain) and the Board wanted Win the 2nd Division and make 2nd round of cup. Made 3rd round of cup and came 2nd in Div 2. But now that i am in the big leagues i am getting plus points in board confidence with any result including draws in the first division.

Expectations are that i avoid relegation and make 3rd round.

Couldnt handle starting with Accrington(which i wanted) as all the English League 2 and League 1 have the excact same custom tactics of 70.

Guys, I think it has to do with your manager prestige. You can't expect to take ofer Barcalona with half a star and get any leniency. Try setting the board difficulty to amateur.

Halfway through 09/10 with Notts County. Still sitting comfortably on top on League Two with a 17-4-2 record and 55 points, twelve ahead of 2nd place. Finally got my fitness manager up to level 9, just in time for a period where we play like 5 games in 2.5 weeks.

However, i'm already out of ALL cup competitions and we haven't even hit January. I already lost my first round Carling Cup match, then we were hammered 0-4 by Wycombe in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy (played very much a reserve team because i had my first round FA Cup match three days later, and Sol was suspended). My FA Cup objective was to make the second round, and i managed to do so by pulling off a 2-1 extra time win over Macclesfield. But i lost 1-2 in the next round to Port Vale, the same club that knocked us out of the Carling Cup if you recall.

I'm not too fussed about being knocked out of the cups already, and neither are the Board. At least we can concentrate entirely on winning the league.

Approaching the January transfer window, first after 17 games played with 13 W, 3 D, and 1 L. van Persie has 8 goals for me and Cesc has 6.

First order of business was to get rid of players I didn't like/wouldn't use much. Included Fabianski, Eboue, and Eduardo. Brought in a few players as well, Leighton Baines (wanted another defender), Amauri (wanted a pure striker) and Ashley Young (another winger).

Not sure I'll splurge much on this transfer window, it's not really needed.

If thats the case, I have no problem with it. Its how it should be, I was just making sure the board doesn't have the same sort of short leash when your reputation is higher.

I guess I will wait until the English tactics are fixed and start one with a league 2 side in England. Does anyone know when they are going to fix those?
