Re: What game settings (time, speed, etc) are you using?

I have my fitness coach at 7. My players are only fatigued to the point of rotation when I have two games in the same week. Although, the may be missing a tiny sliver of energy (it's hard to tell) for next week's game now that I'm on 15 min halves. This is using Dortmund; most of my players are between 75-80 in stamina ratings.

I was actually thinking of upgrading my fitness coach to an 8 for next season since I'll have ECC or EFA games on the schedule. I don't have the depth to fully rotate my squad and compete with decent teams...

The problem I'm finding with '8' is that I never need to rotate my players even when I have two games. The only players I ever need to swap out are the wingers and occasionally a center mid. If I only have 1 game they are constantly at 100% stamina.

My crappy team would be dead playing 15 minutes. We play on 10, slow.

My fitness coach was at 2 for awhile though. But now we're at 5 and I gotta rotate a lot.

I think even if I upgraded my fitness coach to a 8 I would still rotate my players. I find it very enjoyable to have different lineups. I have one for each of the following:

          League Play
          Cup Play
          Euro Competitions

I try to play my youngsters during the early League Play to get them some experience. I've also been rotating them in against weaker league sides though. I usually trot out my big guns against the Inter's and for big Champs League matches. I wrapped up my group after 4 (Chelsea, Bayern, Fenerbache) after 4 matches so I let my youngins play roaddies @ Chelsea and @ Bayern for some the experience.

            Professional
            Normal Speed
            7 minutes

I bumped it from 6 minutes to 7 minutes b/c I felt like there were games where I could dominate for long stretches yet not score a single goal. That doesn't generally happen anymore. My results are very realistic--I don't get scored on very often, but it's very rare I score more than 2 goals either. Every once in awhile, I'll bust out and score like 5 goals, but I also lose games 2-1.

How tired do you allow your guys to become? With my game length, I get concerned once they're in the yellow at all. I do rotate players in quite a bit. Pretty much everybody in the midfield has an understudy, as do the strikers. My CB's can play more often, but the LB and RB need to sit if I do a lot of running with them.
