Re: Scouting tips??
LOL. I will be tracking his progress throughout the year. It's too bad the player growth is tied into form which means it's basically broken. The kid could have been the next Adriano, minus theproblem.

Re: Scouting tips??
Is that what it is? I assumed the lack of growth was due to my position coaches being relatively low (4 or 5 each). The form feature has a lot of potential, but it certainly seems to need some work... has anyone managed to figure it out?Comment

Re: Scouting tips??
Player growth is tied into form? That sucks for me.
My player ratings are usually 5/6/7.
I am still not sure what to do to improve on that.
I get the occasional 9 - but never for more than one player.
My roster is always in "light orange".New to FIFA23 ... did not care for FIFA22 ... after having played FIFA19 for the previous three years!

Re: Scouting tips??
The more I think about it, the more I think player growth is tied to your position coaches. I think form is tied to match ratings.Comment

Re: Scouting tips??
I've maxed out everything in my MM. I chose Arsenal because I've never played before and I wanted a good team to start with and see how things work. Basically, I've found that most of my players go up 1-3 points a year depending on playing time. I've had guys not play at all and be in terrible form and the most they go up is 1 point or sometimes none. Other times I've had guys that are in excellent form and they only go up 1 point or maybe 2 points. Regardless, with all 10s in ratings your guys will improve at least a point a season, which isn't much at all. The real key to progress is match ratings and playing time mixed with your coach level.
As for scouting, I've found a GK in South America that is 18 and is now an 82 overall and a striker from Europe that is 18 and an 81 overall. I haven't found much better than that.
I did however dump all my team in the transfer market (besides my stars) and filled my team through scouting and now all my reservers are around 77-80 and my subs around 80-82 and my starters around 80-92 (Fabregas is a bad ***). It took about 3 years to get my team to where it is, but now I can simulate games and dominate (of course, it wasn't too hard to do that in the first place)while(Me > You)

Re: Scouting tips??
I found a real good defender in Europe, I believe he was Polish. His name is Dolezal II, or something like that. Still young and pretty good, started for me since day 1.
I maxed out scouting in MM, and then max out att, mid, def. I always max out scouting first, especially when using a low rated team.PSN: beruchtejan

Re: Scouting tips??
A lot of the scouted players (if not all) you find are modeled exactly from an existing player. Same nationality, height/weight and attributes. The best striker you find in Europe is Edin Dzeko..in Americas it's Diego Milito. The best defender in Europe is Hangeland and in Americas I think it's Diego Lugano, I think.
The best English players you find are Emile Heskey, Kevin Davies, and I think you find a CM based off of Lee Cattermole, could be wrong thoughComment

Re: Scouting tips??
I have found a few good defenders in Europe. The people you find are random, and I think the overall of the scouted players is all set up by your scouts level. I am currently searching Africa for Str, but I have not found anyone worth signing for my current team. I also prefer midfielders form the Americas because you get some South American talent that has some great touch.Sixers/Panthers/Tarheels

Re: Scouting tips??
I sent my scout to Africa to find some forwards and they give me a striker that literally doesn't have a name... I know the education is pretty limited in Africa, but I'm pretty sure most people have names. Lol is this some sort of glitch that is gonna ruin my game or is it just something funny?NFL: Bills

Re: Scouting tips??
Best dude I ever found while scouting was an 18 year old striker from England named Spencer Chilvers. He was an 81 overall right off the bat and started immediately for my Palermo team.
I had my scouting at 7 then. Maxxing it to 10 with a lower rated team seems like a good idea.Comment
