First, do not put in the old ones. Second, if you up the crossing, teams will cross much, much more.

I had a Stoke tactic up, but removed it for now. But with them, they crossed.

Added Stoke City, Man Utited and Aston Villa to the front. I'm going to try and throw up a few more today as well so we can then just assign those that are up to other EPL teams. After that, sprinkle some down throughout the rest of the FA. Yes, focusing just on England, for now.

Any thoughts or help are welcome. By no means do I want each team to have a custom one of their own, but having perhaps ten different ones or so would be nice. Teams still play differently based on formation and the players, which is nice.

As of now, all EPL teams are in the 2nd post except for Man City.

I went ahead and threw several teams together, as there is no need for them all to have their own when they're so damn similar.

No idea, really. I'm only messing with how I want the AI to play against me.

Also, if anyone has any idea for Man City, let me know. I haven't caught much of their games at all this year and it seems they're definitely playing a bit more attacking.

I guess my question the would be which of your templates would you assign to the teams in the Championship since I'm playing my other season in that league.

I am a little confused...is it possible to download someone's custom tactics? Or do we need to go in and create them ourselves?

We could download tactics last year if the creator uploaded them. I believe the feature is still there, although I'm not sure of the menu route this year. Plus, Krebstar would need to share them...

I'm still going to do a few more generic ones I think for those to just sprinkle down throughout. But for now, anything besides the "big four" would be just fine. Maybe Liverpool's but not the other three.

The computer trying to walk the ball into the net seems like a problem everyone is having no matter what. I have CTT on every team in the Prem set for my CM and no matter who I play they try to work it to a forward on top of the box and have him dribble past the penalty spot before trying to slot it home. Very few crosses into the mix and shots from range, even when there are clear opportunities for this and even from teams that I have set to cross often with their CTT. It is nice when it happens because I avoid what should have been a sure goal with a late recovery tackle, but I feel I've cheated the CPU when they do this. Has anyone found anything they think could correct this?

According to the Understanding Custom Tactics link from the first post, it seems as if the Chance Creating - Shooting value is what you are dealing with here. It advises against using anything in the lower end of the range for this CT otherwise the AI will attempt to walk in.


"Interpreting style
Is the team quite reluctant to shoot from long distances, preferring to work the ball into the area or wide for a cross? Try upper Normal (50-65).
Do they like to test their aim from outside the area when the opportunity arises? Go with Lots (70-80).
Do they have a real shoot on sight policy, and prefer to set up for the strike above other forms of attack? Try higher Lots (85-90)."

Are you using what I have on the front of the page? I'm not having any issues at all.

Several teams are shooting on distance from me and occasionally scoring as well. Some teams go slower, but nobody dances around the box except for Arsenal.

Thanks for the 2 responses, I actually hadn't seen that added to this thread. I will try it out, if I have started a CM already though with each team having a CTT in place, will I be able to change it? If I change it from the main Team Edit will it take effect in my already started CM or no? If not, how do I go about changing it for my CM?
