I know right! When I began with Wimbledon in League 2, I struggled at the beginning of the season. Once the season progressed and players started to improve their stats it became a little less frustrating. I've only ever used a financial takeover once and it was in FIFA 13. Don't know if it was just me but I felt like every club purposely tried to make it impossible for me to sign their players. Except Southend United, both of our negotiations were fluid and their demands weren't exaggerated. Wolverhampton were stubborn, Crewe Alexandria barely allowed Clayton to go on loan with me with a high future fee, Carlisle United played the "this player has recently joined" card even though this was in January so player should have been available, and Plymouth also made it difficult for me but in the end we were able to find terms that would benefit both of us.

I feel like if the FA is paying off these teams to not negotiate with me, as my team's existence is a nuisance to them. Darn you modern football!! Lol

      Brighton & Hove Albion
      Taking Flight

      October 2013

      Derby 1-0 Brighton
      Wendel 90'
Man of the match: Lewis Dunk

Our first loss of the season. Never a great thing, but we have to quickly put this behind us. Well done to Derby.

      Brighton 2-1 Doncaster
      R. Ince 45', Buckley 62'
      Coppinger 87'

Man of the match: Rohan Ince

Wonderful response following the loss to Derby. We played our hearts out in pouring rain, and nobody can question our ability and ethic.

      Burnley 1-4 Brighton
      Vokes 19'
      Buckley 32', Lopez 57', Mackail-Smith 80', Bridcutt 90'

Man of the match: Craig Mackail-Smith

You always need these big wins to boost your morale throughout a season. It was a wonderful performance from everyone across the pitch. Sadly, we've lost Greer to an ankle sprain for the next month.

      Brighton 1-1 Blackpool
      Lopez 52'
      Davies 33'

Man of the match: Stephen Ward

A bit of a limp showing, but the positives are that we have a squad capable of handling injuries and suspensions.

      Sheffield Wed. 0-0 Brighton
Man of the match: Marc Muniesa

Another dry game with nothing to offer for anyone. I'd like to forget this ASAP.

      Brighton 0-2 Bolton
      M. Davies 4', Andrews 82'
Man of the match: Marc Tierney (Bolton)

I felt we were slightly unlucky to come away without even a goal. It felt like nothing we did today was right, so we'll just have to hope for better luck next time.

      October 2013
      Cup: N/A
      League: 8/18 points

Not a great month in terms of collecting points, but I'm glad that lads like Muniesa and Butland have taken their chances when given to them.

      ********************

      November 2013

      Wigan 0-4 Brighton
      Ulloa 48', Forster-Caskey 56' 87', Buckley 78'
Man of the match: Jack Butland

Absolutely wonderful performance and result. This is the kind of match I like to see my boys play, and I expect more of the same.

      Brighton 2-0 QPR
      Lopez 57', Ulloa 59'
Man of the match: Gordon Greer

It was crucial that we beat QPR to close the gap at the top of the table, and we did just that. There are no more undefeated teams in this division.

      Nottingham Forest 0-1 Brighton
      LuaLua 69'
Man of the match: Marc Muniesa

We worked our butts off today, and I have to salute both Forest's strikers and my defense for playing like world beaters.

      Brighton 2-1 Blackburn
      Ulloa 27', Spurr 67' (o.g.)
      Rhodes 60'

Man of the match: Tommy Spurr

Small awards don't mean much to me, but the recognition means a lot to my boys. It's a bit funny to award MOTM to someone who scores an own goal, but I felt Ulloa was the deserving man.

      Birmingham 2-2 Brighton
      Zigic 4' 51'
      Ulloa 44' 68' (pen.)

Man of the match: Nikola Zigic

Two more wonderful goals from Ulloa, who is really on fire with five in his last five outings. I think I've found my striking solution.

      November 2013
      Cup: N/A
      League: 13/15 points

A much better month points-wise, primarily thanks to my moving to 4-2-3-1: Butland; Cancelo, Greer, Muniesa, Ward; Bridcutt, Agustien; Lopez, Forster-Caskey, Buckley; Ulloa.

      ********************

      FL Championship

      1. Queens Park Rangers, 51 points
      2. Brighton & Hove Albion, 46 points
      3. Leeds United, 43 points
      4. Wigan Athletic, 36 points
      5. Bolton Wanderers, 35 points
      6. Derby County, 35 points
      ...
      22. Barnsley, 10 points
      23. Birmingham City, 9 points
      24. Bournemouth, 7 points

I did mention something new for my next press conference, so here it is. Hope you guys find this interesting.

How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

        AFC Wimbledon - Press Announcement

        Chavez:
"Thank you all for coming out today and joining Wimbledon Chairman Erik Samuelson, the management staff, and myself. I would like to address the questions that have been brought up regarding Danny Kedwell and Christian Jolley. Everything we have done for the club has been with the intention of bettering the team. None of our signings have been made with a closed mind. Would I enjoy reliving the 2011 Wimbledon team? Yes. I think we all would because we have fond memories of them. But, thats what they are, memories. When you lay down and remember that fateful season, it is not because you are living in the past. That's not what we're going for. We wouldn't trade our current squad for the 2011 squad. They put their mark on our history, now it's time for these players to put their own mark just like they are right now as 1st in League 2. Danny Kedwell still has a lot to contribute to football in general. At 30 years old he's not "washed up" or anything similar. When we considered signing him, we did not analyze just the 2008-2011 seasons, we also analyzed his seasons at Gillingham. He meets our requirements for the position and ultimately that is what caused us to consider him in the first place. Christian Jolley is only 25 years old. Athletically he's hitting his peak. Why is his return with Danny questioned? Because they've worn our shirt together before? The signing of Ryan Tafazolli was also questioned because Mansfield Town has been in the bottom table all season. Take a look now. He's only been with us since January and he's had many Man of The Match awards and has a great understanding with his teammates. With all of our signings we have specific reasons as to why we're bringing them in. None of them are "because we want to" or "because we want to relive the past." No. I understand that it is your job to make headlines. I get it. All we ask is that you, the fans, stick with us. We're very close to playing in League 1 and believe me it'll only get better. Thank you."

3-0 Win away vs. 1899 Hoffenheim

          --------------------------------------------------------------------------

          My Question to You:

Kießling's form has really fallen off. Granted, its only been 7 games, but he's been missing multiple chances and not getting to balls he should. With that being said, Kießling is also 29 years old. Do you think it might be time to pair the scorching hot Connor Wickham with a new ST partner? If so, who would you like to see put on the uniform?
If Kiebling isn't doing well for you then get someone else in he is not getting any younger. As Germany manager I can tell you that near the end of the season in my CM he declined to 80 and I am in a bit of a dilemma as to whether I'm going to include him in the World Cup squad. He doesn't do well for me either (going on the friendlies).

I suggest Ahmed Musa as a replacement, if you have the funds.
76 rated at 22 years of age.
94 acceleration and 87 sprint speed.
As well as having a decent 79 finishing.
He also has 85 potential, but I got him up to 88 in fifa 13.

Good luck battling BVB and Bayern in the league.

I know me too I did a Morcombe career a while back and after the 5th season (I was in the Championship) I couldn't bare it, each game in league 1 & 2 ended 1-0, 0-1, 0-0 then I started my Arsenal career and found this site. My Morcombe CM was my secondary mode but got bored of it after a while, that and my old United career were the only long term projects I did.

I use two defensive mids so it actually should work out alright with him moving forward to help the attack.

I'm excited about this next season.

                  Press Conference

Q: You've made it up to La Liga. What are your expectations for this season now that you are playing in the top tier of Spanish football? The success of last season doesn't mean success this season.

A: I'm excited for this new challenge for our team. Our main focus this season is to avoid a repeat of what happened the last year Deportivo played in this league. I believe that this club is one that should be a mainstay in La Liga.

Q: You've lost a few players this season, your leading scorer from last season included. You have also brought in a trio of players to fill in some spots. Do you mind expanding on the transfer activity in this window?

A: It is never easy to lose a key player for your team. Not to mention your leading scorer. Borja Baston is a player that played above and beyond all expectations in our campaign last season and he will certainly be hard to replace. We have brought in Keirrison to fill our striker position. He is a player who still has plenty of good years left. He had some unfortunate runs with injuries that held him back, but he has all the talent in the world and I think this will be a great place for him to show that. Suso was our main target in this window. That is a player who can do it all. He will be one of the most exciting players for this club going forward and will be one of the focal points of our attack. And finally, we brought in Babin to take the place of Insua who decided to move on. Babin is a veteran who has played at a high level for quite some time. He will be able to add experience to this back line.

Q: Not the most ideal of starts dropping 2 of your first 3 games this season. What do you need to turn it around and start taking more points?

A: The level of competition is certainly higher, but I think we are good enough to hang in there with the teams at this level. The main problem has been communication on the back line. We have added 2 new players to the line and they are still working on getting on the same page as each other. It will only get better with time.

                    Making Them Dream
                    SEASON 4

                    World Cup Qualifiers

                    England 1-0 Russia
                    Lallana 43
In a relatively dull game, Lallana got our only goal with a header from a tight angle.

                    Austria 1-1 England
                    Alaba 27
                    Wilshere 68

The defence went completely AWOL to allow Alaba to run down the middle and coolly slot in. The equaliser came with a 20 yard left foot screamer by Wilshere.

                    Match 4

                    Cardiff 1-5 Liverpool
                    Rodriguez 17
                    Balotelli 23
                    Balotelli 32
                    Ujah 38
                    Ronaldo 45
                    Balotelli 90

In a match of complete domination, Rodriguez opened the scoring with a simple header. Balotelli then scored by running from his own half and smashing in. He got his second with a header before Ujah got a header back. Ronaldo curled one in to make it 4 and finally Balo headed in to complete his hat trick.

                    Champions League Match 1

                    Liverpool 2-1 Sporting Lisbon
                    Montero 3
                    Rojo 40 (og)
                    Sturridge 45

Montero gave them the lead after breaking through the defence early on but after a Sterling shot was saved Rojo bundled into his own net. Sturridge then beat 2 defenders with a brilliant bit of skill, leaving one on the floor, he finessed in.

                    Match 5

                    Liverpool 2-0 West Brom
                    Ronaldo 44
                    Verratti 51

Ronaldo opened the scoring, rifling into the top corner from distance and Verratti got the second running through the defence and slotting in.

                    League Cup Match 1

                    QPR 1-3 Liverpool
                    Austin 14
                    Ginter 64
                    Ronaldo 72
                    Ronaldo 77

Austin smashed in the opener for the London side but a header by Ginter levelled things up. Ronaldo then gave us the lead with a curling effort that took a huge deflection and the he headed in to make it 3.

                    Match 6

                    Norwich 1-2 Liverpool
                    Ronaldo 33
                    Hummels 45
                    Hooper 51

Ronaldo gave us the lead with a shot that went in off the bar from distance. Hummels then expertly headed in from a corner before going AWOL to allow Hooper to get one back.

                    Champions League Match 2

                    Celtic 2-2 Liverpool
                    Pukki 15
                    Ronaldo 23
                    Griffiths 53
                    Rodriguez 55

Celtic managed to claim an undeserved point scoring both of their chances. Pukki slid in at the far post to give the Scottish champions the lead. Ronaldo equalised with a powerful header but Griffiths slot a shot under Daniels to regain the lead for the Scots. At the third time of asking though, Rodriguez converted in to equalise.

                    September Thoughts

We have played OK but not to the best of our abilities. We managed to pick up a young player into our youth academy who looks like he could be brilliant. A Portuguese attacking midfielder.

note: Sorry about the lack of updates. It has been hard to find time with the World Cup on and school to juggle. I come home and the football is about to start so I don't get much time.

AFC Wimbledon - History in The Making

AFC Wimbledon are the 2013-2014 Football League 2 Champions and are auto-promoted to the Football League 1 after defeating S****horpe United 3-0! The team finished in 1st place with a lot of room to breath, making it very clear that they are ready for League 1 football. Wimbledon are undefeated since January, and Chavez's signings played a major role in achieving that great run.

Wimbledon had lost the leagues's top assister when they allowed George Francomb to leave to Ipswich, but there they opened the door for Jacob Murphy who claimed he could fill the spot with no problem and finished as the league's top assister himself with 11 assists! Danny Hylton has won the Golden Boot with 25 goals, and Ross Worner was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament with 25 clean sheets. ALL 3 from AFC Wimbledon! Despite these achievements, only 1 player from Wimbledon made it to the Football League 2 team of the year: center midfielder/centre back Harry Pell.

AFC Wimbledon finished the season with a record of 32 Wins, 9 Draws, and 5 Losses. They finished as the 4th best attack with 73 goals in favor, and as the best defense with an impressive record of only 17 goals against. Chesterfield finished as the League's best attack with 78 goals in favor.

                      Press Conference

Your thoughts on the season Mr. Chavez?

"A great season. We struggled in the first half, but as they say it's not how you start the game it's how you finish! In the first half of the season we were never outside of the playoff positions, but we struggled to stay there. After January we were able to focus solely on the league which of course contributed to our undefeated run. The new signings were able to adapt to our football immediately and there's great communication among the team."

What are your plans for next season? Any new signings coming in?

"Maybe one new signing but other than that, no. I feel that this squad is ready for League 1 and they proved it with the way they finished the season. I'd like to focus on our youth academy as well. Because this was my first season with the team I didn't give our academy a chance but I'd like to give them more opportunities this year."

What are your goals for this upcoming season?

"Well, here in England the level of competition is significantly higher in each division. I know it will be tough, but in my opinion anything lower than mid table is a failure, and you can save that statement. However, I'm still shooting for promotion. We will play every match to win regardless of our league position. We're used to being the underdogs!"

"Thank you all for coming out, but no further questions please. Thank you."

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed my first season with updates!

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates recently. Basically my copy of fifa is broken and when I load it up, it shuts down straight away and takes me back to the xbox one menu (if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please say, I'll be hugely grateful). Because of this I am unable to play the career mode. Also it's difficult to find time to post, like Jamie, as it is difficult to manage school work with the World Cup etc.. Hopefully you guys understand and stay tuned. I'll probably be back in a week or two so get ready for posts to hopefully be better than ever.

Is it actually broken/scratched or does it just not start up? If it looks fine but won't start up email EA. Or did you purchase the warranty when you bought it? That could come in handy right now.

Man everyone's saying they can't post because of the World Cup. Makes me feel like a loser since I work full time, watch the World Cup, and have a girlfriend and yet I still make an effort to get some FIFA time in. I think I have an addiction :/ lol

                              Press Conference

Q: Better results this month taking 2 wins including the 5-0 demolishing of Rayo Vallecano. Is this a sign of things to come or just a couple lucky results?

A: I think this is the type of football you can expect more of in the future. This team has a lot of talent and each game brings the players closer to the same page. We still have yet to play our best football.

Q: Your defense is still having a difficult time stopping opposing offenses at time. Is there anything you want to focus on with the back line to possibly fix these problems?

A: There are a few things that I am thinking about changing around. Maybe tighten up the line a bit. The main thing though is that our midfielders have to put more pressure on the ball. We are letting them run free to our back line far too much and that is unacceptable.

Q: You've called two young players, Ricardo Sanchez and Jose Enrique, up to the senior squad with Jose Enrique making his debut in the last game against Malaga. Do you see these players factoring in as key figures in this season?

A: I think they are ready to step up and make spot appearances for us this season. I wouldn't go as far to say I expect them to play key roles. They have to prove themselves first. As for now they will get some minutes here and there, and their play in that time will effect my decisions going forward.
