If you don't get promoted, you surely will with the boys you sign on pre-contract deals. If you do, you're backed up to avoid relegation.

Great idea! I actually hadn't thought about that. I think I'll have search for these players manually though as the GTN usually brings me players within my current overall range. Thanks for the tip!

I need help picking a team. I want it to be a team in England that I could build up from the championship, league 1 or league 2 and it has to have a good budget. Any suggestions???

Between me being top with Brighton, Texasbum qualifying for Champions League, ChicoBass making the Europa League at PSG's expense, and Cathal looking like making Villa dangerous again, I'd say we're in for a bunch of quality updates in the next few weeks!

I was having a look at this, since you're also beginning season three, it may come in handy for you. Sort them by potential, consider overalls, wages etc. according to what you want/need/can afford.

          Spoiler

One thing I've noticed is the kids who are OVR 60-70 with potential 75-80+, they start playing a bit poor but quickly adjust and show their class. Then the growth kicks in, and by the middle of the season, you've got a proper growing talent on your hands.

Depends on which positions you think are necessary and which players you don't want. Without selling anyone, you would need a right back and centre back to make up for ageing Alex and Jallet, plus a defensive midfielder as cover for Verratti and Matuidi as Motta is getting older. A winger to back up Lavezzi and Moura (not a fan of Pastore on the wings or Menez anywhere). Your biggest buy would be a number 10 to play behind Zlatan/Cavani. World's your oyster, so pick the best of the best. Bale, James Rodriguez, Neymar, Oscar, Mata, Hazard... your choice.

Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading, QPR, Leicester, Bradford City.

Thanks for the link! I'm on sofifa pretty much on a daily basis but never searched for contract expires. Now that I think about it I'm on the fence between signing a few of these great players or improving the youth academy. One of the things I've enjoyed with Wimbledon is that all of my players are relatively unknown outside of League 2, and I've enjoyed watching them grow with me. Can't wait for one of them to become the first AFC Wimbledon player to be called up to a senior national team. At the same time, many of the players on the list are tempting though!

You definitely won't be able to sign a lot of the players on the first few pages. I would recommend finding the guys who are squad players at smaller clubs in the big leagues, or the guys who are top players in smaller leagues or lower divisions. Also look at the guys who are in their late 60s and early 70s, as they'll likely be around the 75 mark by the start of season 4. If you want, I can give you a couple of suggestions for goalkeeper, defence, midfield and attack.

Just got myself pumped up by finding an article about Deportivo's miracle Champions League run to the semi-finals in 2003/04. Also found some good background information on the club as well regarding the past successes. Only 5 teams have won La Liga since 1985, Deportivo being one of them winning it in 2000, as well as finishing runner up in 2001 and 2002.

Time to return the Blanquiazules’ to their former glory!

Indiblue posting his starting XI made me interested in seeing how everyone else's looks. It's pretty neat to see all the additions that people have made and the formations they choose to fit their style.

                          Starting XI Custom 4-1-4-1
                          GK: Fabian Giefer - 81
                          RB: Mario Gaspar - 78
                          CB: Pulido - 74
                          CB: Manoel - 78
                          LB: Carles Planas - 77
                          CDM: Gary Medel - 78
                          RCM: Juan Dominguez - 81
LCM: Jonathan Dos Santos - 80
                          RM: Koke - 85
                          LM: Memphis Depay - 78
                          ST: Morata - 81

                          Tarik Camdal - 70
                          Bruno Martins Indi - 77
                          Marcos Lopes - 75
                          Dani Iglesias - 73
                          Terrence Boyd - 73
                          Khethokwakhe Masuku - 71
                          Jean-Sylvain Babin - 71

and I have a handful of youth players that see the pitch occasionally. I just wanted to include my main subs.

however, i don't believe, that they could fight for high places next season

                              two-part question:

                              1) Has anyone had a player (striker, in this case) become insecure in the game (no, really).
                              2) If so, has it really affected his game on the pitch? (that you have noticed).

One of my strikers in my Dagenham CM, Rhys Murphy, is apparently feeling insecure after not having scored a goal in any game so far (around 10 games including league and cups). Just wondering if this is something I need to be concerned about. I hadn't even noticed this until it was brought up in the game because IMO he's been active in games.

Also found some good background information on the club as well regarding the past successes. Only 5 teams have won La Liga since 1985, Deportivo being one of them winning it in 2000, as well as finishing runner up in 2001 and 2002.

I remember watching the '99-'00 team. Djalminha was a fun player to watch.
