Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

SL Benfica 2013/14 - Enzo Perez a poor mans Vidal

Undefeated in the league so far but in 2nd place only on goal difference to FC Porto. We kicked off the campaign with a 1-0 away win over Belém, considering I've never heard of them I probably should of one by more than I did but at the end of the day a win is a win. We marched on to the next game, also away, against a team stronger that the last, SC Braga. With the likes of Eder I expected a game full of goals, but again it was a rather boring 1-0 to Benfica. It was now clear to me that I had no problem defending but I seemed to be lacking on the goal scoring front. Now came our first game at home against Arouca. My defence was once again solid and the game ended 2-0 to Benfica. Goals seem a little easier to come by now. Enzo Perez has been the stand out player for me this month, he's just doesn't stop running, he can dribble, shoot, the lot. He truly is a poor mans Arturo Vidal. And Gaitan needs a special mention as well, he's been my top scorer this month, he's been the stand out player in a rather unexciting attack force. That's it for the transfer window, I'll update at the end of each month.

How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Bad news: I'm nearing my phone's data limit so I won't be around here as much until I can get home and connect to wifi it sucks, I guess I'll actually have to do some work when I'm at work instead of talking FIFA all day haha

After today I'm off work for the next 2 days so expect some updates, as long as everything goes as planned and the lady doesn't step in to interrupt my FIFA time... Lol

                    Cagliari Calcio September update

                    15th september: Serie A:
                    Fiorentina 0 - 4 Cagliari
                    Dessena 1-0 32’
                    Ezekiel 2-0 45’
                    Pisano 3-0 57’
                    Brooks 4-0 81’

Incredible! Everything seemed to go Cagliari's way. Fiorentina had a high backline and Cagliari lead by numer 9 Ezekiel countered again and again.

                    22nd of September Serie A:
                    Cagliari 2 - 1 Sampdoria
                    Valdiva 1-0 45’
                    Ekdal 1-1 74’
                    Gardner! 2-1 85’
What a game! 9-7 in shots on target. Gardner of all players with the late winner. Cagliari still unbeaten in Serie A

                    25th of SeptemberSerie A:
                    Livorno 2 – 2Cagliari
                    Luci 1-0 15’
                    Ezekiel 1-1 52’
                    Gardner 1-2 82’
                    Paulinho 2-2 90’
Gardner could have been the hero in the closing minutes yet again but Brooks sent a easy ball back to goalie Kim, but there’s a reason why Kim plays goalkeeper after all. He plays a horrible pass towards Pisano but it goes right to Paulinho who shoots from 20 meters right into the top corner. Gutted!

                    28th of September: Serie A
                    Cagliari 0 – 0 Inter Milan
Both teams had several chances to decide the outcome, but neither was able to hit the target. Cagliari had 6 shots, only 2 on goal. Inter had 7, but only 1 on target.

                    Serie A after September:
                    1. Cagliari 6 – 4- 2- 0. 14 pts
                    2. Napoli 5 – 4-1-0. 13pts
                    3. Roma 6- 4-1-1. 13pts
                    4. Livorno 6 -4-1-1. 13 pts
                    5. Lazio 6 – 3-1-2. 10pts

                    Most used squad:
                    Kim(74)
                    Pisano(73) - Astori(79)—Brooks(72) - Murru(72)
                    Cabrera(73) -Dessena(72) -Ekdal(76)
                    Vietto(72)
                    Ibarbo(78) - Ezekiel(74)

Any feedback, good or bad, is greatly appreciated.

looking good so far, what settings do you use? (difficulty, minutes)

You're also still in cup play, correct? Are you in any other competitions besides those 2?

I play on World Class with 5 minute halves. I used to play on Professional on my Southampton CM, but felt it was time to move up.

Still in the Coppa Nazionale. Round 2 is in November against Serie B side Latina.

So no, I'm only in 2 competitions this season. Hopefully 3 next season

                            Rangers at Dortmund 0-4 L (Europa R32)

Sky Sports caught up with the Rangers manager after his European defeat.

Q: After qualifying from the group stage, how did you feel your side did against Dortmund?

A: Well, first it was a really unkind draw for us. All the lads were really down after they had seen who we were drawn against. Dortmund are a great club, and they proved it against us.

Q: Did you feel your club under-performed?

A: Did we under-perform? No. Did we get outplayed? Yes. Like I previously said, Dortmund simply outclassed us at home and on the road. Yes getting one goal in the first leg was great, and we tried to us that momentum to carry through, but that did not happen. I am still proud of the lads as we did get pass the group stage, which was a big accomplishment for us this season.

Q: Losing to your biggest rivals, Celtic, three times out of four this season, do you feel that this could be disheartening for the supporters?

A: Celtic are a big club, and it just happens to be our biggest rival. Yes, it hurts the lads that we couldn't beat them the three times. We also know what those matches mean to the supporters. But we are a growing club, and we need to be focused on the future, and not the past. We will still challenge them for the League Title, I guarantee it.

                              Losing to Celtic sucks :-(
