CAM: Ross Barkley - 7/10 - 78
37 apps, 3 Goals, 10 Assists

CAM: Thorgan Hazard - 9/10 - 77
27 apps, 15 Goals, 3 Assists

ST: Romelu Lukaku - 10/10 - 81
41 apps, 28 Goals, 11 Assists
Probably the best player in the squad, Can take passes and then pass to assists, Muscles off his opponent very easily, Outpaces defenders aswell. He couldve scored 40+ Goals if his shooting wouldve been better.

Antolin Alcaraz - 5/10 - 71

8 apps, 1 Goal
Was a bit of a panic signing because we needed some depth, Did very well.

Transfers In:

Alexandre Lacazette
? Ovr, Striker, 24 Years Old
Bosman-transfer
Hertha BSC's only Bosman-signing was the speedy and clinical Alexandre Lacazette. The French striker will join Hertha after this season for free Olympique Lyon. Lacazette is a good striker who brings in a lot of pace to the side. It's unclear what will happen when he arrives in the summer.

Ali Ahamada
74 Ovr, Goalkeeper, 24 Years Old
€0.00
Cheapest of the players brought in by Ganchev was the young French goalkeeper Ali Ahamada. He was a solid keeper for Toulouse in League 1 and he is known for coming up for corners from which he's got a few goals. The 24-year-old arrived from Toulouse for free. It's unclear what happened during the negotiations but Hertha will pay only Ahamada's wages. The keeper will probably be a second-choice keeper after Thomas Kraft.

Emre Can
73 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 22 Years Old
€3,200,000
The next player who was bought by Hertha was 22 years old Emre Can. The talented midfielder was bought from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of €3,2 million. The German-born Turk is a versatile player who can play in midfield and in defence. Can won't probably get a lot of playing time in Hertha.

Nemanja Matic
82 Ovr, Central Defensive Midfielder, 27 Years Old
€14,500,000
After three weeks of the transfer window were gone Hertha announced the relieving signing of the defensive-minded Nemanja Matic. The big Serbian had wonderful few years at Benfica before continuing back to Chelsea. Now he's starting a new chapter in his career in Berlin. The defence has been Hertha's weakness this season and the fans are expecting Matic to fix the problem. He will probably get the starting spot ahead of Daley Blind who hasn't been great this season.

Christian Benteke
85 Ovr, Striker, 24 Years Old
€25,000,000
After Hertha sold Pierre-Michel Lasogga for 50 million euros to Barcelona it was clear that the Berliners needed a striker. It was reported that Ganchev made bids for Stevan Jovetic, Sergio Aguero and Radamel Falcao but at the end he chose the two times cheaper Belgian striking star Christian Benteke from Aston Villa. Benteke is a strong and fast striker who is an excellent header of the ball and it's clear that he'll take the starting spot up top.

Gareth Bale
90 Ovr, Right Midfielder, 26 Years Old
€10,000,000 + Eden Hazard
Hertha's last and biggest deal shocked the footballing world. Gareth Bale, the world's most expensive footballer, arrived in Berlin for a price of 10 million euros and Eden Hazard. The Belgian had a tough spell in Berlin which lasted only six months. The speculation about his replacement was big and so is the replacement himself. The Welsh winger secured the Copa del Rey and Champions League trophies at Real Madrid in his first season. Now he's expected to be the brightest star of the team, maybe even of the league. Bale is really fast, skillful, strong and good shooter, basically the perfect paggage.
Transfers Out:

Pierre-Michel Lasogga
85 Ovr, Striker, 24 Years Old
€50,000,000
The biggest departure of the transfer window was Pierre-Michel Lasogga who joined FC Barcelona for fifty million euros. The German striker never really fit into Ganchev's playing style because of his lack of speed and attacking runs. Lasogga will be missed but Christian Benteke is a great replacement for him.
Mohammed Abu
76 Ovr, Central Defensive Midfielder, 24 Years Old

Tolga Cigerci
72 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 23 Years Old

You had dodgy results but you are still first. Congratulations.
Thank you. To be honest, it was expected for us to be leading but thirteen points is a lot. I'm sure we'll win the title again.
What do you think about the results?
The game against Schalke went well. We dominated them completely, Gareth (Bale) and Christian (Benteke) played really well and the whole team was good. Their goal was really lucky.
The next game away at Hoffenheim wasn't easy at all. They defended well and we couldn't do anything. The most interesting thing what happened was probably between me and the referee...
And the game with Mainz, that went well. Nothing special in that game.
You got sent off in the game against Hoffenheim. What happened?
Well... the game was in stoppage time. We were on the attack. Valentin (Stocker) played a pass from the edge of the box to Divock (Origi) who was through on goal but right then the referee blew the whistle. I got a little angry about that and I pushed him and said some ugly words to him and now I'm banned for 6 games. Oh, I also got a penalty of fifteen thousand euros.
That is your second ban here in Germany. Shouldn't you calm down?
I'm sorry for who I am. You just can't change personalities like that.
Let's talk about transfers. Why did you sell Lasogga?
He wasn't good for the team. He didn't fit in my system and he didn't score many goals. Then Barcelona decided to pay his buyout clause and now he's in Spain.
How about the arrivals?
Christian (Benteke) is Pierre-Michel's replacement. He fits us better because he's faster and more mobile. He's young and already really good.
Gareth (Bale) is taking Eden's (Hazard) place. Eden wasn't really good for us and we needed a world class winger. Gareth is just that.
Emre Can was bought for squad depth since we sold Cigerci and Abu. Ali Ahamada will be our second keeper and Nemanja (Matic) is a great holding midfielder who'll balance the team.
Your round of 16 match in the Champions League is against Celtic. Do you think you'll beat them?
I'm sure about that. First we'll beat them and after that we'll beat the finalist.
Thank you for reading the post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated!
