Update on my Real Madrid CM; made it to the Winter transfer window atop the table. We are currently in the knockout stage of the Spanish Cup against Real Mallorca. Only move I made was selling Pepe to Manchester City for $9 million. I also decided to sign Kurt Zouma since my CBs have been injured lately and I probably will sell David Luiz in the summer.

Im still new and learning. I was hoping someone could help me with Morale tips and how to do my lineup for like different types of matches, Cups, League and Friendlies etc... How often to switch it up.

Im starting a Career right now, decided on Saint-Etienne, should be alot of fun and tough for me in Ligue 1.

Try not to have a set starting 11, keep it fluid and it'll be easier to make everyone at least content. Friendlies I usually SIM and play guys I don't plan on really using but that's me. Cups, it depends, do you want to win the cup? If so then play it like any other, if no, play young players to get them experience.

My best advice, play the game, make your mistakes(we all make some) and learn from them. That's how I learned, trail and error.

I have a question, I always need comeback to original sliders when I play with friends, then when playing Career I need to set them another time. How I can save them?

Look at ur squad top to bottom. Ask yourself who can you count on when needed to give you quality minutes. Maybe you have 17 players, maybe 22, 25.... do your best to keep those players happy. If you have young prospects that you want to get minutes, insert him into a STRONG line up against a weaker opposition....

Also, if you have a 17 players you can count on, or whatever the number is, rotate those players every game, best it on performance, maybe switch up 2-3 players a match if you can afford to do that

Omg, just a mini update after 2 matches...

I played at Elche who was 3rd after 5 matches. I led 1-0 at half. They tied, then took the lead in 75th. We were awarded 4 min stoppage (1:20 real time). Ronaldo scores not just once for the draw but twice for the win!!! AMAZING. Couldn't believe it. Final 3-2

Next I was home against rivals Atletico. Embarrassed them, 4-0. haha

Champions League against Anderlecht next.

Objectives: Get a job in a European League because the MLS is boring; make at least the second round of playoffs; get some better players through youth development; sign the guy for whom I paid nearly 2/3s of my money to negotiate with
Record: 7-9-5 (Lost in the 2nd Round of the US Open Cup 1-1 (4-1 PS) to Los Angeles)

I turned down injuries after I lost 8 players in 7 games, and since have been having a lot of fun. I HATE the lack of fouls -- last game, my opponent had 63 tackles and 4 fouls. But I'm finally seeing some pass rates down below 80%.

I loaned out a couple extra strikers and purchased the rights to Ruben Blanco (I know, cheese), who won't ****ing sign with me, however, even though I'm offering to pay him more than a thousand more per week (with a strong team role) than he's asking for in his demands.

Overall, I'm finally having fun. It took about 30 games to understand how and when to use the different kinds of dribble modes (precision, regular, sprint, walking), how to score on anything other than headers and crosses, and how to beat a pressing team with high work rates.

I still hate my team's defensive AI (completely useless), the way my AI watches balls go by or gawks as passes get intercepted, and the way the refs let you and the CPU mug each other without fouls.

But when I crossed up my defender, correctly used a fake shot, and beat the goalie with a chip shot, I jumped off the couch and yelled at the TV. Finally.

Update on Nottingham Forest, season 3

Hey guys, finally got back home yesterday and managed to get a couple of games in. First match was the away leg of the Euro League QF against Manchester City, which I went on to lose 2-1. I wasn't too bugged because I'd got that all-important away goal.

Had Manchester United in the league a couple of days later, and I thrashed them 4-1 with Andrade picking up his first league goal of the season. Thumped City in the home leg 4-0 to go through to the semi-finals 5-2 on aggregate, where I will play AS Roma (Inter faces Valencia in the other tie).

At that point, we'd found ourselves in second place in the league, just a point behind Chelsea and one ahead of United. With Sunderland at home being the next fixture, I decided to rest my entire first XI, instead playing my kids and reserves. I promptly conceded in the first minute and failed to find an equaliser, let alone a winner. Chelsea went four points clear, but United thankfully lost.

My next game, another toughie, was Liverpool. I'd drawn with them 0-0 at Anfield in my first game of the season, but this was a different affair. Traore was a beast as he dominated the 4-0 affair, grabbing a hat-trick of headers from one corner, one cross, and one Mignolet parry. United lost again, opening up a four-point gap between us. Chelsea continued to destroy teams with a 5-0 thrashing of Everton, keeping the four-point gap between us and them intact.

Next up was Chelsea themselves, in the semi-final of the FA Cup; the winner would play Southampton in the final. They scored twice early on, through Cavani and Willian, both scrappy goals. I'd rested my key players for the Roma game but made one change at the break, bringing on Traore for the ineffective Sanogo. Soon after the restart, Oscar found Traore in a pocket of space just ahead of the halfway line. The Ivorian took control of the ball, put on a burst of pace to beat his marker, and go clear through on goal. A couple of quick gallops and a blast with the right, and the ball was past Courtois and into the net. Forty-seventh minute, 2-1. I could smell a comeback. But a comeback was not to be, as I lost by that same scoreline despite good effort.

After the first leg against Roma, away in Italy, I came back with a loss but many smiles. Roma opened the scoring with a Demba Ba fluke of a goal before Traore muscled his way into the box and lashed one in. After the break, I went down 3-1 to goals from Ljajic and Florenzi. But in the 75th minute, I brought Biabiany on as a CAM behind Traore. Using the huge target man, I held the ball up long enough for the French pace wizard to fly into a gap between the defence. A well-placed through ball led to a well-placed chip, and I was down 3-2 with ten minutes to go. A third away goal might well have happened were it not for the ref calling time after just a minute of stoppage. But 3-2 is a decent score for the away leg; 1-0 will see me through in England, but knowing my team, there will likely be multiple goals. The key, of course, is to keep a clean sheet and, if we concede, to let in no more than one goal.

I've switched to 4-2-3-1 for the time being, as that's how I can get the best out of this squad. The problem is I'm not entirely sure just which formation I want to use long-term. I need wide players and I prefer two strikers, so something like 4-4-2 or 4-3-1-2 seems appealing. Any thoughts on 4-4-2 in career mode?

Update on Nottingham Forest, season 3

The last update ended with my 3-2 loss to Roma in the away leg of the 2015/16 Euro League semi-final, and Forest in second with a four-point gap either way (behind Chelsea and ahead of Manchester United).

In the return leg against Roma, I set the team up in a 4-4-2 and went on the attack. I conceded early, which was rather unfortunate, but I managed to come back with a 3-1 win in the end. With an aggregate score of 5-4, I went through to my second consecutive Euro League final, this time against Inter who thumped Valencia 6-2 on aggregate in the other semi-final.

In between my last and second-to-last league games, I squared off against the Nerazzuri at Juventus Stadium. The game started off well, and I got some fluid passing going. Inter were pressing me high up but still had enough men in their half to stop me from countering too dangerously. About 30 minutes in, Traore got on the end of a wonderful cross to head in the first goal of the game. I went into halftime 1-0 up and confident of a win, but Inter had other plans.

Shortly after the restart, Mandzukic muscled his way into my box and let loose a cannon of a shot. Forster managed to get a hand to it, but the rebound fell to Ricky Alvarez who tapped in for the equaliser. Inter didn't stop there, going on to score a second through a Mandzukic header off a corner. With less than 30 minutes to go and down 2-1, I needed a hero. That's when Nathaniel Chalobah played a slick one-two with Oscar in the box and placed a beautiful finesse into the top corner past Handanovic to take us to 2-2. Around the 80th minute, a frenetic scramble in the Inter box led to Traore picking off a scrappy second, which turned out to be just enough. With a 3-2 scoreline, I secured my second straight Euro League title with Nottingham Forest and some £5 million in prize money.

In the league, I won four and drew two of my last six games to finish the season in second place and claim a prize of £12.5 million. Were it not for Chelsea steamrolling their opposition to win the league and the FA Cup, I might have even had a chance for the title. Kagawa finished as the season's top scorer with 21 goals, with Traore and Soldado tied for second with 20 each.

It's now July 1, 2016. I have £45 million in fees and £220,000 in wages to spend. On top of this, Manchester City have expressed interest in Oscar. If I can negotiate a fee in the £50-60 million range, that will land me an extra £40-45 million and free up £120,000 in wages.

I'm trying out some custom systems outside the career – an  asymmetric 3-4-3 with a central midfield diamond; a 4-4-2 with wingers (RM/LM converted to RW/LW) and a deep-lying forward; and the 4-3-3 false nine. I'm using Juventus to test the 3-4-3, Manchester City to test the 4-4-2, and Real Madrid to test the 3-4-3 using Isco as a false nine.

I've decided to run a modified 4-2-2-2:

- The back four will all have high defensive work rates, with medium attacking on the flanks and low attacking in the middle.

- The RDM will be an anchor with high defensive and medium attacking, and the LCM will be a box-to-box CM with both work rates set to high.

- The wide left attacker will be a LAM who cuts in (high attack/medium defense), and the wide right attacker will be a RW who crosses the ball (high/low).

- The RS will drop slightly deeper and help orchestrate attacks (medium/medium) and the LS will be an all-round poacher (high/low).

I'll have an alternate formation where the front four roles and their runs are reversed (LAM becomes LW, RW becomes RAM, RS is poacher, LS drops deeper).

I need the following players:

- A top-quality LB to compete with Cresswell

- One wide attacker with good crossing ability AND one wide attacker with good dribbling and shooting to cut in, both with 4+ weak foot ratings

- One world-class, technically gifted striker to partner Traore

- One high-potential, technically gifted striker as backup

SEASON 2

Team: Arsenal
League: Football League 1
Difficulty: Legendary/Orion's Sliders
Objective: Gain Automatic Promotion, Round of 32

I've long since finished my first season as Arsenal in League 2, winning the League title by a healthy margin. In the January transfer window I brought in Jonathan Tah and Anthony Martial. I was knocked out of all competitions so no silverware besides the title.

To start the second season I was once again given the goal of auto promotion, with a $32M transfer budget and I believe a $150K wage budget, however, as with the first season I'm limiting myself to $8M in transfers to make it like my previous Rangers CM. The rest would go to purchasing my 2nd scout for the youth academy.

I decided it was time for a change at RB & LB as my starters, Richard Foster and Steven Smith, were 61 & 64 OVR respectively and 28 years old. My frugality from my previous CMs of poor teams has persisted as I try to spend as little money as I can, even though now I have boat loads. I had a promising 16 y/o RB, David Saunier, in my youth academy so I promoted him and he came in at 65 OVR. I also brought in Ruben Blanco, who will eventually replace Cameron Bell. While Bell is good, at 5'10" he is simply to short to be effective. I've conceded many goals simply because he was too short to reach the shot. After spending the entire transfer period shopping for a LB, using the GTN, I was unable to close a deal in time. Also, **** the GTN. Just **** it.

I started the season with a win followed by a draw with Birmingham City, which I would regret till yesterday. I haven't had much difficulty staying at the top of the table (for one reason which I'll get into later) and neither has Birmingham City. While they have 5 draws to my 2 we both have 0 losses. Were it not for my presence in the league they would be running away with it as in 2nd place they lead the 3rd place team by 14 points. I had a 2 game lead over them and they chased me the entire time, neither of us giving up a loss because of what it would mean to the other. That is until January. My first game was against Birmingham City and I knew I had to win. They played well but in the end it wasn't enough for them and I won 3-0. I guess the loss broke their spirit because they also lost the following game. Barring some monumental collapse on my part, the results of those two games all but guarantees me the title.

My inclusion of Ruben Blanco in most of my games left Cameron Bell feeling marginalized so he requested to be transferred in January. I was fine with it since I intended for Blanco to be the starter with my backup only being used in case of injury, but all my scouting, once again using the GTN, brought back highly rated GK's, who all wanted to start. I resigned to play Bell for all of my December games to placate him, which worked. In addition to him Richard Foster also put in a transfer request but he's out of his damned mind. In October he sends me an email asking that I take a look at his wage. With a current wage of 4K he wants 1 more year and 7K. At 61 OVR at 28! I offered him 5K, he didn't take it, so as of yesterday he's gone. I also brought in LB Ben Davies from Swansea for $3M and picked up 33 y/o CB Mickael Tacalfred on expiry to play backup.

After about 25 games, I'm in 1st place with a very comfortable lead. While everyone is in-form and my midfield has had sizeable contributions in my scoring, the majority of my success is due to the efforts of one man...Yassine Benzia. In my first post concerning this CM I stated that his playstyle suited me better than Neal Maupay's and I couldn't have been more right. He is the leading goal-scorer with an astonishing 26 goals, and this is only January. He's my ideal attacker. He has decent pace, which is fine since I don't sprint often, but has great dribbling and ball control so he can keep it away from defenders near the box. Add to that his great positioning, 4* skills & weak foot, and finishing and I've been carving up back lines left, right, and center, especially lately. I've gotten a lot better at the Roulette so if it's him 1-on-1 at the back line, it's almost a guaranteed shot on goal. He's 73 OVR now at 19 and I shudder to think about what he'll be like in a couple of seasons. If Anthony Martial had 3* skills, I'd be nigh unstoppable.

Aside from that, the squad is coming along very nicely. Everyone has experienced some nice growth and we're now a 3* team. I'll wrap up this long-winded exposition with the squad:

Hey guys,
I've decided I want to build an all english squad in my career mode. Mainly filled with younger players with high potential e.g. henderson, rodriguez, lallana, luke shaw, ross barkley etc etc...
I wanted to start this idea using a team in the premier league. Any idea who you think i should go for? Because im looking for pretty much an entire squad overhaul, i'm going to need a fairly good transfer budget, or some fairly pricey players in my original squad who i can sell.
I wanted to start with a mid table kinda team, rather than taking someone like man city and making their team worse than before.

any suggestions appreciated
