      MAY

      WIMBLEDON 0
      Pell sent off 60’

      SHREWSBURY 1
      Goldson 58’

Connor Goldson’s second half header was enough to guide Shrewsbury to victory at Wimbledon as Wilson’s last away match in charge of the Shrews ended in victory. Harry Pell picked up two bookings in 4 minutes to end hopes of a Wimbledon upset, and the visitors sustained their advantage until the end.

      SHREWSBURY 1
      Gray 55’

      YORK 1
      Montrose 85’

Dean Wilson bowed out as Shrewsbury were held by York to a 1-1 draw, denying them 100 points in the league 2 season. Demarai Gray ended his loan spell in style with a great run and finish, but York equalised late on to deny Wilson the win in his final game in charge.

      FINAL STANDINGS

      1) Shrewsbury 98
      2) Hartlepool 90
      3) Portsmouth 88

      SQUAD REVIEW

JAYSON LEUTWILER 62 (+3) GK- 45 appearances 14 clean sheets for our 26 year old. A solid part of our team all season long with very few errors, but our youth prospects may overtake him next season.

      Rating- 8/10

JERMAINE GRANDISON 62 (+2) RB- 42 appearances 16 clean sheets 6 assists for the 24 year old. Another solid part of the squad and one who will keep his place next season after a good stat increase.

      Rating- 8/10

CONNOR GOLDSON 64 (+3) CB- 49 appearances 17 clean sheets 3 goals 1 assist for our 22 year old. A mainstay in our defence for the season and most certainly the future. He grew in confidence and presence as the season progressed as is now vice-captain.

      Rating- 9/10

TOMMIE HOBAN 65 CB- 33 appearances 12 clean sheets 2 assists for our 21 year old. A bad injury curtailed an otherwise reasonable season for the summer signing. He took time to bed in, but definitely has a long future at the club

      Rating- 6.5/10

MICKEY DEMETRIOU 61 (+2) LB- 13 appearances 5 clean sheets for the 25 year old. He only really featured towards the end of the campaign but was outstanding in that time. Reinforcements will be bought in to cover the position, but if his form continues then he will keep his spot.

      Rating- 7/10

HAN KOOK YOUNG 63 CDM- 14 appearances 1 goal 1 assist 4 clean sheets. Our 25 year old took time to adapt to the English game, but started to show his capabilities towards the end of the season, resulting in a starting spot next season.

      Rating- 7/10

RYAN WOODS 63 (+4) CM- 38 appearances 3 goals. Our 21 year old was used mainly as a sub towards the start of the season, but his energy gained him a starting spot that he never relinquished, and won’t do next season.

      Rating- 8/10

DEMARAI GRAY 64 (+1) CM- 16 appearances 3 goals 1 assist. Our 18 year old loanee showed what he is capable of towards the end of his loan spell, but his high wage demands mean that he will probably not return to New Meadow next season.

      Rating- 7.5/10

JACK GREALISH 69 (+3) CAM- 44 appearances 4 goals 13 assists. Our 19 year old loanee was invaluable to our season success and we will do all we can to get him to return next season.

      Rating- 8.5/10

JAMES COLLINS 66 (+2) ST- 29 appearances 29 goals 2 assists. Our 24 year old and club captain was outstanding this season and had he not have broken his ankle, records would have been broken. Will be key for next season.

      Rating- 9.5/10

ANDY MANGAN 61 (+1) ST- 29 appearances 13 goals 5 assists. Our 28 year olds rating is deceiving as his all round play was exceptional. He will remain at the club, but extra competition will potentially limit his opportunities.

      Rating 7.5/10

We are unfortunately today saying goodbye to Dean Wilson. The former Shrewsbury manager passed away this morning at 8:34. Our commiserations are with his family and friends in these sad times. The inspirational coach guided Shrewsbury to the league 2 title this season in his first managerial job, and was loved by the fans. It is sad to see him leave us.

So there is the first season of the Shrewsbury career done! The xbox one is being bought tomorrow but don't worry the career will still continue where the Shrews will battle in league 1

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Wow, some excellent careers here. I'm finding it really tough to keep up with this and all the other stuff going on in my life, so forgive me for not replying/updating as often and as detailed as I normally do!

I'm really enjoying what's going on with Shrewsbury, Exeter, West Ham, H. Berlin, and Arsenal. All the other careers are going well, too! Let me fill you guys in on what's been happening with West Brom in November and December of season 2.

November was not a very good month for us. We suffered consecutive losses against West Ham (1-0, home) and Chelsea (2-1, away) to start the month, and then drew Sunderland (1-1, home) before edging Cardiff City (1-0, away). Not good at all.

December showed much improvement. We started with a 2-0 win over Everton (home), before 4-3 wins against both Liverpool (home) and Manchester United (away). We lost 4-2 to Stoke (home) before a 1-1 draw with Swansea (away), picking up 10/15 points available to us this month.

As it stands after 19 games, we are in fifth place with 36 points. Stoke are one spot ahead of us on goal difference, while Liverpool are one spot behind us on goal difference. Wins against Stoke and Swansea would have solidified our hold on fourth (possibly third), but things are now much tighter.

Based on how the FA Cup pans out, if two top-four teams make the final, I can afford to finish sixth, but no lower. Fifth is still a much safer position, and what I'm gunning for at the moment. I think this team is good, but not good enough just yet to be in the Champions League.

Nathan Redmond is likely to be sold either in January or in the summer. He angled for a raise less than a year into his time at West Brom, and when I offered him the money he wanted, he refused as he wanted to be a crucial player. I'm not having someone like that in my team, so he's off at the first decent offer. Will Buckley (Sunderland) and Johnny Russell (Derby) have been lined up as possible replacements.

Joleon Lescott got a one-year extension, as did Stephane Sessegnon. The latter is obviously my best player, having scored seven goals in December alone. I've seen what happens to teams who let their best players leave prematurely; it's suicide. Another season will let someone like Buckley or Berahino challenge for that right wing role, so the transition is less strenuous. Xabi Alonso has been magnificent, with five assists and two goals so far. I'm just not sure yet if I want to keep him another year.

Brown Ideye has brought his season tally to 7 goals to cement his place back in the squad. The response from the Nigerian has been immense. After a brace against Everton, he scored once against Liverpool, set up two against United, and then scored again against Stoke and Swansea.

In terms of gameplay, I had a rough December. The game was very obviously working against me. Passing was off, touches were heavy, my players were slower than a donkey's rear, reaction times were ridiculous. That I managed to pick up 10 points is a huge achievement for me. Conceding 11 goals in a month is also something I hope won't repeat itself.

Excellent graphic. Quick question: how do you get on with players asking to get more games? You have quite strong depth in the winger and striker positions, so how do you manage that, especially with two elite players in Koke and Draxler for one position?

Im 12-6-5 with man u first season and sitting in 5th in the BPL standings. Notice that my defense sucks so for the January deadline I buy Subotic from dortmund and Matip from shalke 04, let go of jones and smalling and I've gone on a tear so far. Think I've won 5 straight including the fa cup and capital one cup games.
Di maria is hurt for another 3 weeks but im managing to still play well since falcao has stepped up his game after pulling a Torres by going scoreless for 17 straight games he played lol

Okay, if you're having problems with scripting, my advice is to hang in there and tough it out. I had a rough few months, but come February, I'm back to my silky passing and nimble wingers. A nice, fat January update coming later tonight!

I have a question, I was thinking of doing another career alongside Coventry and the more rare Liverpool. However, I won't do it if this isn't involved. So is the MLS Cup in FIFA 15?

I platoon, use different players for different competitions, for example Joel Campbell and Julien Draxler play in English Cup, and future FA Cup games, and come off the bench during league games. OX, I use during Champions League, along with Muriel, Barkley and Welbeck. But it looks like I'm going to be a seller in January, especially at RM. I also have a CDM/CM problem because thats where my best youth players are playing.

Change of plans, if the MLS Cup is in FIFA, I will do it towards the end of FIFA. I also may be getting a PS4 for Christmas so I might not bother starting a new career.

                        Right then...

I am getting the xbox one later today, so depending on how long it takes my internet to download fifa onto the console (its sooooooo slow) there could be a preseason and August update of my Shrewsbury career along with with the next storyline development.

I am also going to be starting another career alongside Shrewsbury, probably a Premier league team given all the authenticity in it this year. My thoughts are currently Burnley, Southampton, Leicester, Arsenal or Manchester United. I don't know whether i want to do another project career or be a bigger side, with a chance of immediate success. I tend to get bored with big teams quickly, but with all the new animations i might be able to cope this fifa.

Whatever the new career, it is highly unlikely it will be revealed today, as i have a lot of work to do with Shrewsbury to set it up on the one

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

We began January with a shock, where Victor Anichebe's agent started stirring up trouble once again. The club and I, having had enough, moved to send the Nigerian to Wolfsburg for £6 million and end the saga.

We started the month with a trip to Tottenham, where we went 3-0 up within 20 minutes in the rain. The match finished 3-1, only because of a silly foul that led to Adebayor scoring off the ensuing spot kick. Newcastle were the next team, this time at home. Brown Ideye notched a hat-trick, and we ran out 3-0 winners.

Our first FA Cup match was next, a 3-0 loss away to Everton, who also knocked us out of the Capital One Cup. Unfortunate, but a blessing in disguise. Right after this game, we reached an agreement with Arsenal to take Yaya Sanogo on loan for the rest of the season, while Nathan Redmond got his act together and accepted a reasonable contract.

Our next match was a trip to Etihad, where Bakary Sako managed to get on the end of Joe Hart's rebound in the first half. That goal was the only one of the match, and City remained scoreless despite having 18 shots on target. Stefanos Kapino, filling in for an injured Ben Foster since the Newcastle match, kept another clean sheet. We came home with a massive win, which catapulted us to third for the time being!

The penultimate match of the month was a home reverse against Chelsea. We lost 2-1 the last time, but this was another story. We ran riot over a powerful Chelsea side devoid of Cesc Fabregas through injury, while Eden Hazard got sent off after two bookings. In the end, we came away with a stomping 4-1 win to put us comfortably in fourth, three points ahead of Liverpool!

Stoke away was the final game, held just before deadline day. We had two early goals via Ideye and Sessegnon, but Mame Diouf and Stephen Ireland responded with one each to level things out. With just under 15 minutes to go, Goran Cvijanovic erased any semblance of poor form with a stonking goal, and we came away with a 3-2 win and all the points!

Youssouf Mulumbu started showing signs of poor confidence and insecurity on deadline day, so I decided to cut my losses. A controversial deal was agreed where the Congolese, valued at £3.3 million, would accompany a £5 million fee for Aston Villa's Fabian Delph, who had requested a transfer with just five months left on his existing deal. The fee was absurdly high due to the nature of our rivalry with Villa, and also because of our recent performances. Nonetheless, we have acquired a highly talented English player at a relatively nominal fee of £8.3 million, and I'm sure he will prove to be a valuable addition.

That's it for now. My next update will be an end-of-season recap, where I'll fill you in on what happens between February and June. Expect a season review, team and system analysis, end-of-season presser, and transfer preview.

Europa League Group Stage Match 5

                              Coventry 2-5 AS Monaco
                              Dirar 5
                              Traore 12
                              Traore 27
                              Thomas 38
                              Swanson 50
                              Traore 69
                              Traore 76

An incredible game that unfortunately did not go our way. Dirar smashed in before Traore curled in after beating the defender. He then headed in his second, not surprising for a 6'8" player. Thomas curled in to the top corner from 30 yards to score a contender for goal of the season and Swanson headed in from a corner to give us hope. Unfortunately the big man Traore completed his hat-trick, thundering in from close range and he added a fifth after shrugging off Phillips.

                              Match 19

                              Reading 0-0 Coventry
A relatively dull match in which neither side really dominated. The best chance came when Federici tipped a shot from Agard over the bar.

                              Match 20

                              Coventry 3-1 Millwall
                              Maddison 10 (PEN)
                              Tudgay 24
                              Maddison 42
                              Gregory 88

The first goal of the game came when Beevers got sent off for a rash challenge and Maddison converted coolly from the penalty spot. Tudgay made it 2, beating his man to knock in from close range and Maddison got his second of the game, squeezing the ball under the keeper at the near post. Gregory converted a late consolation but it meant little to nothing for Millwall.

Europa League Group Stage Match 6

                              FC Ural 2-3 Coventry
                              Lambarschi 13
                              Fleck 21
                              Acevado 34
                              Agard 61
                              O'Brien 85

An incredibly important match for our season. Our financial structure completely relied on this match. Let me put this in perspective, the league table going into the game.
                              AS Monaco 8 (+5 GD)
                              Coventry 8 (-1 GD)
                              Ajax 7 (+3 GD)
                              FC Ural 2 (-7 GD)
This meant, a draw would put us out if Ajax won by less than 7 or drew against Ajax. Things didn't look to be going our way when Ural curled in the opener. Fleck's brilliant finish on the run equalised but Acevado smashed in on the rebound. Agard managed to curl in an equaliser but from then on we couldn't break the Russian team down. Then, when Agard cut inside at close range he sliced his shot across goal. It dropped at the feet of O'Brien to knock in an open goal and put us into the next round of the competition and give us financial security. Ajax beat Monaco 2-0, meaning that goal was incredibly important.

                              Match 21

                              Watford 2-1 Coventry
                              Deeney 3
                              Swanson 31
                              Fabbrini 77

Deeney opened the scoring for Watford early on, cutting inside and curling into the top corner. Swanson equalised, firing in across goal from the edge of the box. Fabbrini won it for Watford from a defensive error. However, it was an astonishing finish. Webster trying to bring it down failed with a bad touch and Fabbrini volleyed into the top corner from the edge of the box.

                              Match 22

                              Coventry 2-1 Bournemouth
                              Agard 31
                              Wilson 45
                              O'Brien 74

Agard opened the scoring in this game with a great finish into the far corner after Nouble held up the ball and played it back to him to smash in. Our former striker Wilson equalised after beating the defender but O'Brien won it, knocking the ball away from the defender and curling into the top corner.

                              Match 23

                              Sheffield United 3-3 Coventry
                              Baxter 23
                              Tudgay 26
                              Baxter 33
                              Maddison 60
                              McGinn 86
                              Thomas 89

A brilliant game with 3 goals a piece for the league leaders and the team at the foot of the table. After Maddison hit the post of an open goal from 6 yards (*facepalm*) Baxter punished him, curling in after a good passing move. Tudgay equalised on the rebound of his own shot before Baxter smashed in after a ball over the top. Maddison equalised on the rebound of Miller's shot, returning from injury but McGinn smashed in on the rebound. We rescued a point though when Thomas scored a fine solo goal. Racing down the wing he cut inside and beat 2 defenders before rounding the keeper and dinking down the middle of the empty net from close range.

Have y'all notice some stupid transfers in your careers? For instance courtois demanded to leave for barca from chelsea but didnt chelsea just signed him like a year ago? Same with sturridge he always seems to want a transfer the following season which I highly doubt he would leave liverpool.
