    Matchday 7
    FC Porto 2-3 Athletic Bilbao
    2' Gareth Bale (REA)
    54' Markel Susaeta (ACB)
    77' Paco Alcacer (ACB)
    90' Sergio Ramos (REA)
    90' Iker Muniain

If the last game was hard, the game at Bernabeu was going to be even more difficult. It already started badly; a cross to Bale sent him 1-on-1 with the keeper, and he put it away. 2 minutes in.

It took me a while, but I pulled into it. Muniain played a great ball through to Susaeta and we tied it up. A few minutes later, and a cross to Alcacer gave us the lead. I was extatic. I went defensive, Real kept pushing it.

In my head, I thought "It's 90 minutes, I can hold it." Then, a cross came in and Sergio Ramos headed the ball, it hit the crossbar and went in.

I was like:"No, f-this. I ain't losing this." I gave the ball to Muniain, he went through the defense and scored. I threw my controller on the floor and screamed. It was fabulous.

Great presentations with those pics! I really like them. The bit in bold, I think you put FC Porto instead or Madrid by mistake?

        OCTOBER 2014

Still sitting in 6th place, it is vital that we keep picking up points now that the table will start to settle down. The last thing I want to do is be chasing points after christmas to get the necessary high finish. We're also still alive in the JPT which I'd like to try and get to Wembley for.
Fletcher will now start on the default team sheet in a search for goals from up front with Hirst being demoted to the cup side.
Charlie Pond (43, CDM, 16yo) was signed straight to the senior side to provide squad depth.

        DEFAULT TEAM SHEET
        * = player on loan
        1 Mooney (56 GK 25yo)

YOUTH ACADEMY - Joe Wotton ENG 1* 1*

Not a good month for York City, slipping to 10th after only collecting 5 points from a possible 15. The only positive is that we finally found some goals in the game against Luton and hopefully that will lead to a few more being put in the back of the net, resulting in more points. Still alive in the JPT which is good news and hopefully that run continues. Really need to find some consistency in the league though if I'm going to get anywhere this season. Also a little concerned by the lack of growth from my players. Hopefully Joe Wotton has a few decent prospects in his next few scout reports.

Hey guys, Ive been trying to post my new CM on here but the pictures do not show up and when they finally did, the pictures became MASSIVE and on top of that, the text goes straight off the screen!

How do you insert pictures that actually work and how do you make the text not go off the screen? (Sorry if this is a real noobish thing)

Do your images have urls? When you go into Post Reply the toolbar along the top (with Bold and those) there should be Insert Image (I think it's the 5th one from the right. A little thing will pop up for you to put the image url into.
                Hope this helps!

                  Ha Ho He

                  February 2018

                  Hertha BSC 2 - 1 VfL Bochum
                  Suarez 55' pen, Calhanoglu 65'
                  Terodde 25'

                  VfB Stuttgart 1 - 2 Hertha BSC
                  Harnik 68'
                  Suarez 42', Ben Yedder 89'

                  Champions League Round of 16
                  Lille 0 - 1 Hertha BSC
                  Sanchez 64'

This game was important for Hertha Berlin, especially after their manager Simeon Ganchev had pumped up the team and they needed to win by a few goals. Lille's defence was having a great game and Vincent Enyeama in goal made some impressive saves. At the end the only goal of the game came a couple minutes after the hour mark when Hakan Calhanoglu dribbled on the right wing. He then got past a defender and passed the ball to Alexis Sanchez who was in the box. The Chilean then took a touch before shooting the ball to the top right corner. The goal gives Hertha an advantage going into the second leg.

                  Hertha BSC 4 - 0 Borussia Dortmund
                  Reus 36', Suarez 43', 81', Calhanoglu 90'

After a tough game against Lille Hertha BSC had to play against second-placed Borussia Dortmund. Surprisingly the Berliners completely destroyed the away team and netted four past Roman Weidenfeller in goal. In the first thirty minutes Hertha hit the post once and dominated the game. Then Marco Reus cut in from the left flank and sprinted in the box past the defenders. The ex-Dortmund winger then shot the ball in the top right corner. The lead was doubled seven minutes later when Luis Suarez ran in the box from the right and curled the ball with the outside of his foot to the top left corner. The next forty minutes were nothing spectacular but after that in the 81st minute Suarez got his brace after he managed to get past three defenders before finishing the attack. Ten minutes later Hakan Calhanoglu finished the final goal after Luis Suarez passed the ball backwards to him. The young midfielder unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box which flew to the top left corner.

                  League Table

                  1. Hertha BSC, 69 pts
                  2. Hannover 96, 51 pts
                  3. Borussia Dortmund, 49 pts
                  4. VfL Wolfsburg, 45 pts
                  5. Bayer Leverkusen, 44 pts
                  6. FC Schalke 04, 43 pts
                  ---------------------------------------------------------
                  16. FC Kaiserslautern, 21 pts
                  17. Hamburger SV, 18 pts
                  18. VfL Bochum, 10 pts

                  Player of the Month

                  Luis Suarez

It was really tough picking a winner this month because Calhanoglu also had a great month but at the end it was decided that Luis Suarez performed better and had a bigger impact. The Uruguayan scored four goals in five games this month and he played an imprtant part in every game.

                  Press Conference

You are now nineteen points clear of second-placed Hannover. Does this mean anything to you anymore?

Yes, of couse it does. It's much easier for us because we know that we can drop points without losing our spot. There isn't someone breathing on our neck all the time and we can give the youngsters more chances because a lot of games aren't that important.

You also beat Lille in the Champions League by a goal and now you have an advantage. Are you happy about your performance in that game?

Am I happy about the performance? Yes, a little bit. Am I happy about the result? No, not at all. We were good in that game but sadly for us they defended amazingly. I was expecting us to score at least two goals but sadly that didn't happen in the first leg. At least there is the second leg left.

What is your opinion on the Dortmund game?

That game was wonderful for us. We completely dominated the game and scored a lot of goals. A lot of beautiful goals. The defenders were great and Thibaut was amazing in goal, saving their attempts brilliantly. I would rate that game nine and a half out of ten.

Fabian Schär wanted to leave the club in January but he accepted a contract extension a few weeks ago. Now you have dropped him to the bench and you're playing Aymeric Laporte. Why?

I want to clear things first. The relations bitween the board and Fabian are great and he's a real professional and we are really happy that he decided to stay. The benching isn't a punishment because of what he wanted. He is benched simply because Aymeric has been better lately.

You received offers to manage countries like England, Brazil and Colombia but you rejected all of the job offers. Weren't you tempted enough?

No, I wasn't and I hasn't been tempted to accept any offer. I just don't want to coach an international team and I want to completely focus on club football and Hertha. I have received offers from the Spanish national team and from Bayern München as well but I wasn't interested in accepting them at all.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Chelsea are playing, but I wanted to give you guys a heads-up. I've started a new career, and it's in League Two! As to which team, you're going to have to wait to find out.

Hint: I've mentioned this as the club I supported and attended games at when I lived in England.

Recap: Opening day of the Season kicked off in style as on the 30 minute mark McClure put Valencia in down the right inside the box and he duly converted it first time across the keeper. 55 minutes in Kretzschmar was the provider as he got the ball inside the box on the right and crossed for Wood to power home with his head. Plano made sure of the result from the spot in the 90th minute after Cowan-Hall was brought down. It's his first goal for the club.

Recap: Sheffield went ahead after 19 minutes when a cross to the front post was met by Miller who poked it over Rodrigo into the net. Our equalizer came from Valencia 3 minutes before half time. He latched onto a poor pass across the goal and finished it from the edge of the box with his left. Extra Time was needed and Morias got on the end of a Sarmov lobbed ball through. He took it down with one touch and finished with his second touch. We march on to Round 2!

Man of the Match: Lee Angol

Recap: Rotherdam opened the scoring when a ball over the top was run onto by Revell who struck it off the underbody of Rodrigo and it bounced into the net. Angol leveled things up 53 minutes in when Kretzschmar slid one in, after a good passing move, to him and he calmly passed it into the corner of the goal. McClure secured the 3 points when he gave a through ball down the line inside the box to Angol who remained composed and picked out McClure, who had continued his run, who headed it in carefully making it 2 wins out of 2 in the league for us.

Again we waited until the second half to equalize and it came from Oscar Plano. Morias put him in and he slammed it home with his left foot. The winner was scored by Max Kretzschmar in the 69th minute when Plano turned provider and Kretzschmar finished from a tight angle to give us all 3 points.

                      Our Best: Luis Valencia

Recap: Pretty even first half with both sides having some good chances. On 53 minutes Obadeyi put one on the board for Bury after he was put through to finish calmly. We kept pushing and had a couple chances and we got a bit of luck when Harrad made a bad tackle just as McClure was about to shoot giving us a penalty. With one minute left on the clock Valencia stepped up and dispatched to split the points.

Recap: 2nd against 3rd today. We both have 10 points with Oldham ahead on goal difference. For the first goal Rodrigo made a save and Philliskirk was alive for the rebound. Valencia equalized on 41 minutes when McClure crossed to him at the back post to head in. Unfortunately right on half time Philliskirk got his and Oldham's second of the afternoon when he turned in the box and slotted it in. We went on to have 13 out of 15 shots on target. The ball just wouldn't go in!

Shrimpers poach Brighton scout as manager

Southend United yesterday named Indi Blue as the club's new manager on a three-year contract. The promising coach was formerly chief scout with Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as a member of the club's transfer committee. The appointment makes him the first manager in the history of the Football League to have a FIFA allegiance with an Asian nation.

"I'm incredibly excited, to be honest," Indi said at his first press conference as Southend manager. "You don't get these chances too often, so I had no problem dropping down a couple of divisions. Footballers have to do it to earn their place in the top flight. I don't see why it should be any different for coaches.

He was also quite insistent that there was no reason to expect a job at a big club to start with. "You're not going to get your first job with a club in the Premier League or the Championship, nor should you. There's too much pressure on managers at the top, so this is a great way to learn and grow. I'm excited about the future of this club. There is serious potential. We have a board and fans willing to be patient, willing to learn, willing to back the players and the manager. I think that's brilliant."

Upon being asked about the club's targets for the season, Indi was quite optimistic. "We're a good team. I think we can challenge for the top three and earn our way up one division. Obviously, that's not going to be easy, and I know I'm going to be on a very tight budget, but we are confident. There are already some very good players at this club, and one or two additions will make us much stronger."

In related news, the long-awaited Fossetts Farm project has been given the green light. Now that funding has been sourced, construction can begin on the new stadium. Fossetts Farm will employ a modern appearance on par with that of Arsenal's home stadium, having been designed by the same firm that created Emirates Stadium. It will also feature such new-age amenities as corporate boxes and Wi-Fi. The stadium has been designed to hold 25,000 people and will be ready for the 2017-18 season.

Awwww yeah Indi in League 2! Looking forward to this. I made a couple signings from Southend when I was in League 2, but the League 2 teams frequently move players around so they're not with Southend on '15. Still, I'm sure they have good talent in this year's game!

Man you guys have a toolbar?! Luckyyyy. I have to insert all the codes myself but I guess that's what I get for being on mobile!

@Simppu Amazing results as usual! I know you weren't too happy with the Lille game, but a win is a win my friend! That's what I like about your character though. You push your players to deliver more than just 3 points. No mercy!

Oh yes we do and there are some nice options there You can have a toolbar on mobile, too. You just have to go to the thread using a browser. At least that's how it works for me.

Thanks. The results have been good for a long time and that's really cool. I'm really liking the team and I won't be changing it too much in the summer unless a huge offer comes in again. As you said, I wasn't happy about the Lille but at least I won the game and got an away goal. My character has been like that since starting the Hertha career in FIFA 14 and he won't change. I think his personality is clear to all of you and I want to have something personal in my updates because there are a lot of us doing the same things in our updates. Anyway, the players need to work hard and play attacking football. Like you said, no mercy.
