Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!
    Spoiler

    Dagenham '17-18 Season
    October/November Update

    League Match 7
    Dagenham - Manchester City (0-1)
    Kompany 55'

Recap: Officially a losing streak (when counting the loss to Aston Villa in the C.O. Cup) after a dominant performance by us didn't result in any goals while Kompany put one away on a header from a free kick. Tough loss

    League Match 8
    Dagenham - Tottenham (1-1)
    Bale 54'
    Elito 69'

Recap: Our captain stopped a scoring drought that had gone for over 270 minutes to stop our losing streak. Again we were the better team on the field but our scoring struggles are affecting us big time.

    League Match 9
    Nott'm Fores - Dagenham (1-2)
    Caseres 23'
    Nimely 48'

    Majeski 59'

Recap: We finally show signs of being past our scoring drought. When Majewski scored 15 minutes into the 2nd half though it sure felt like we were headed for another let down but we hung on tough to get back on the winning column.

    League Match 10
    Dagenham - Wigan Athletic (3-1)
    Nimely 18'
    McLean 25'
    Reyna 66'
    Nimely 78'

Recap: We're officially back up and running after a solid victory over Wigan, who often give us more trouble than they should. Nimely has really been in great form all season and it's starting to show on the scoreboard.

    League Match 11
    Sunderland - Dagenham (0-1)
    Ngando 60'

Recap: A game that turned out to be tougher than we expected was perhaps the perfect time for Ngando to score his first goal for us. He scored off a header on a cross from the right wing and just like that we're back on a winning streak.

    NOV
    League Match 12
    Swansea City - Dagenham (1-4)
    Collins 14'
    Collins 16'
    Collins 34'
    Elito 45'

    Donnelly 60'

Recap: In his first game back from injury Collins reminded everyone in the BPL why he's the Dagenham's best striker, netting a hat trick in just a third of the of the game. He set the tone for a convincing victory for the visitors, also assisting on Elito's goal. This would had been a perfect win if not for a inexcusable breakdown on defense that led to Donnelly's goal.

    League Match 13
    Dagenham - Everton (4-0)
    Nimely 9'
    Nimely 37'
    Ngando 45'
    Vilna 80'

Recap: Oh we're rolling now. Back to beat sounding victories to push our winning streak to five, with this one keeping a clean sheet to showcase a complete game on both sides of the field. Collins didn't even have to score on this one. Ngango once again scored on a header but his low stamina keeps giving Vilna, the youngster from Brazil, opportunities to showcase what he's capable off and that he has high potential (but also low stamina).

    League Match 14
    Cardiff City - Dagenham (0-3)
    Elito 45'
    Vilna 85'
    Reyna 90+'

Recap: Our great form continued in this game although it took us a while to get on the board and even after that we continued to have trouble finishing plays. Vilna and Reyna gave the game a fair score near the end.

    League Match 15
    Dagenham - West Ham (1-0)
    Collins 73'

Recap: The first East London Derby of the season belongs to us after a tough rivalry game. Collins displayed his will to win by streaking towards a cross from the left and jumping higher than two defenders to head the ball into the back of the net. This completes a perfect November for us with 4 wins and no losses while scoring 12 goals and giving up just 1 (again, on a breakdown).

    British Premier League Standings
    1. Chelsea - 38pts (16 GP)
    2. Liverpool - 36pts (16 GP)
    3. Dagenham - 34pts
    4. Arsenal - 32pts
    5. Manchester City - 30pts (16 GP)

    ...
    6. Aston Villa - 29pts (16 GP)
    7. Manchester Utd - 26pts (16 GP)
    8. Newcastle Utd - 26pts (16 GP)
    ...
    18. QPR - 9pts
    19. Hull City - 9pts
    20. Wigan Athletic 3 pts

Even after a (league) 2-game losing streak we have positioned ourselves to compete for the league title in the early going. A win in our next game (against QPR) would put us in 2nd place just one point behind of the leader Chelsea, who we'll host in our second game of December. That will be followed by games against Arsenal, Hull City, and a rematch against Wigan Athletic to wrap up the 2017 year. We are doing a lot better than I would had expected in our first season in the BPL and it may be time to start talking to the board about higher objectives than a mid-table finish in order to request some additional funds for the upcoming winter transfer window. The only other significant news here is that Yordy Reyna also missed 3-4 games due to injury and our only reserve CB, Yohan Wachter, is being rumored as wanting out due to being homesick.

(As an aside it's worth noting that I've yet to beat Chelsea with either Dagenham - 1 game last season in the F.A. Cup - or Alcorcon in the two games I played against them in the Champions).

As noted in our previous update our scouts are currently in Colombia, Ireland, and Morocco and there have been a couple of additions to the academy. Here's our youth squad:
    • Cristian Alonson (CM, 52-58 OVR, 84-94 POT): 16-year old from Venezuela described as a playmaker. He possesses a lot of talent in spite of his small stature of 5'5". He could be a contributor as soon as next season.
    • Nathan Kenny (DEF/MID, 57-69, 79-94)*: 16-year old from Ireland who has our scouts very excited. Projects as a midfielder.
    • Sean Foran (???, 57-73, 78-94)*: 15-year old from Ireland still trying to find his niche on the field. The left-footed kid has shown early signs of being a midfielder.
    • Davor Alanovic (CB/LB, 52-58, 80-90): 15-year old from Croatia has outstanding potential and mammoth stature at 6'7" and 176lbs. He's all but a lock to be a CB and we'll work really hard to develop him into an excellent defender.
    • Mario Diaz (RW/LW, 56-60, 76-82): 17-year old from Mexico with a lot of confidence. Our scouts are trying to convince him that he's better off staying in the academy for a year even though he feels he's a better talent at the moment than some of the names on the roster. We don't disagree, but he would have a tough time cracking the B-team right now. We're excited about him though.
    • Faruk Bahamdan (CAM, 42-52, 69-85)*: 15-year old from Morocco who settled into his position early on. He's raw, so he'll need a lot of time in the academy to develop.
    • Pablo Escobar (CAM, 46-48, 74-80): 16-year old from Venezuela who needs to remain in the academy for at least a full season. He has recently shown some higher flashes of potential than when previously evaluated.
    • Magnus Gerndt (RW, 51-55, 72-78): 16-year old from Sweeden who projects as no more than a role player.
    • Cesar Miguel (CDM, 44-46, 72-78)*: 16-year old from Venezuela who needs a good amount of development. Could be a solid role player for us in the future.
    • Enric Tinlea (CM, 54-58, 71-75): 17-year old from Romania who isn't likely to spend all season in the academy due to his age, but we'll hope that he does.

Our current roster (* Denotes player graduated from the youth academy):

    Spoiler

Now onto some more exciting news ...

2018 World Cup - CONMEBOL QUALIFIERS

    Bolivia - Venezuela (1-4)
    Campos 4'
    A. Gonzalez 38'
    Rondon 40'
    Aristeguieta 56'
    Josmar 85'

Recap: Needing 3 points to stay ahead of lurking Colombia we battled at one of the highest altitude stages of international soccer to take a convincing victory. It took a while, and nerves may have started to creep in, but eventually we settled down to take a HUGE victory given the circumstances. Colombia beat Ecuador to stay right on our tail while Chile was only able to get a draw in Peru and fell to 5th place, only point ahead of Colombia. (We moved up to 28 points along with Argentina).

    Venezuela - Paraguay (1-0)
    Rondon 90'

    Spoiler

    FINAL CONMEBOL WC Qualifiers Standings

    1. Uruguay - 36pts
    2. Brazil - 33pts

    3. Venezuela - 31pts
    4. Colombia - 29pts
    5. Argentina - 28pts

    6. Chile - 27pts
    7. Ecuador - 24pts
    8. Peru - 17pts
    9. Paraguay - 15pts
    10. Bolivia - 10pts

Chile suffered a miserable late down in the last two games of the qualifiers, earning only 1 point (they lost their finale 1-2 vs Uruguay) to completely miss out on the World Cup. Colombia, on the other hand, finished strong collecting all the remaining 6 points and earning direct qualification to the World Cup in the process. Argentina's improbable loss at Ecuador in their final game means they will have to battle it out against a team from Asia for a spot in the World Cup.

Anyways, that was wrapped up in October. We also had a couple of friendlies in November for which we decided to call the top remaining players for the country who did not regularly take part in the qualifiers roster so that we could evaluate some guys ahead of next summer's World Cup.

    International Friendlies
    Bolivia - Venezuela (0-1)
    Perdomo 69'

Recap: We now have back-to-back wins in La Paz thanks to a hard-earned victory by our youngsters. Perdomo fought for a lose ball in the small box to put it at the back of the net after his third attempt shot in a matter of 10 seconds.

    Wales - Venezuela (0-1)
    Perdomo 18'

Recap: Perdomo, asserting himself as the main striker sub for the World Cup, gave us the victory once again, this time on a header near the small box. He'll need to keep up this form as the team doesn't have a lot of strikers at the moment thanks to the sudden retirement by Marion Rondon.

And THAT is all for now!

Your form did drop in the league with those couple of draws and losses but hey, you beat Chelsea twice! And kept 2 clean sheets!! I'd take some silverware over dropping a couple places in the league any day. Points can be made up in the league, you can't do that in the cups. Also nice to see Wislon on fire again!

You're sitting nicely in 3rd too which is great! Congratulations on qualifying for the World Cup with Venezuela!!! Rondon retiring is a huge shock! 9 goals in qualifying and he decides to hang up his boots! Mind boggling. Good luck with the next few months!

@Simppu I see you have joined the red side. You will enjoy them. I have been with them since my system upgrade to the Xbox one almost a month ago. We will see how our CMs compare. Right now I have nine more league games to play as well in the semis in the FA Cup. Only two additions have been made to club Hulk and Yahon Cabaye.

@Keanu I might be looking to add Nathan Dyer and Jefferson Montero to my club during the summer transfer window.

            AD Alcorcon - '20-'21 Season
            October/November Update

            League Match 8
AD Alcorcon - Real Zaragoza (1-0)
            Correa 51'

Recap: In the last game before a short break the starters struggled a bit in their third game in one week but Correa continued his outstanding form to give us some very needed 3 points.

            League Match 9
RC Deportivo - AD Alcorcon (2-1)
            Juan Dominguez 16'
            Lopez 56'
            Juan Carlos 83'

Recap: You could this result coming from early on as the locals came out determine from the get-go, keeping the ball from us during much of the game. It looked as if we might be able to scape with a point but Juan Carlos put the dagger on us 10 minutes before the game ended, continuing our troubling trend of struggling against opponents that we should beat.

CL - Group Stage, Match 3
            AD Alcorcon - Liverpool (1-3)
            Ezequiel 42' (P)
            G. Ramirez 69'
            Correa 78'
            Dani Pacheco 80'

Recap: Liverpool treated this game like it was the tournament final and outplayed us thoroughly. We were taking their best punches until a questionable call in the box awarded them a penalty which they converted just before the half. When Gaston Ramirez scored their 2nd goal from outside the box it felt like game over but Correa's goal gave us hope. However, Dani Pacheco's goal a couple of minutes later on a beautifully constructed play resulting from several crisp passes gave Liverpool the lead and the continued perfect record in the group.

            League Match 10
AD Alcorcon - Granada CF (1-1)
            Correa 28'
            Marquinhos Gabriel 80'

Recap: Our funk continues due to our inability to put the goal at the back of the net. Correa's goal in the first third of the game felt like maybe the beginning of an outburst but we were unable to get concrete shots from that point and Granada started to get more confidence ending with their goal about 10 minutes from the end. More missed opportunities.

            League Match 11
Real Sociedad - AD Alcorcon (0-2)
            Lopez 34'
            Gnabry 90'

Recap: Not the most convincing performance by our lads but we kept a clean sheet and scored a couple of times to get back on the winning column. In some what of spirit-lifting news Granada beat Real Madrid and Deportivo drew with Barcelona so we're not the only ones struggling.

            League Match 12
AD Alcorcon - Real Valladolid (4-0)
            Imada 10'
            Barrera 17'
            Gnabry 51'
            Imada 59'

Recap: Maybe playing the B team was all it took. Our 2nd team flat out destroyed the worst team in the league to possible get us out of a funk.

            NOV
CL - Group Stage, Match 4
AD Alcorcon - FC Basel (4-0)
            Lopez 20'
            Correa 29'
            Farago 36'
            Knoll 76'

Recap: It looked like the rest did our starters some good, or maybe it was the bad taste left in their mouths from their last Champions game. The important us we put our foot down on a lesser opponent to get right back on track in our group and stayed on Liverpool's tail for first place in the group.

            League Match 13
Real Betis - AD Alcorcon (1-5)
            Correa 6'
            Imbula 15'
            Correa 38'
            Vergara 71'

            Carlos Garcia 80'
            Correa 85'

Recap: Oh we're definitely in top form now. Correa, who has been our best player throughout this season, shined in this one with a hat trick and and assist. We appear to be past our moments of struggle and squarely back on the hunt for the league title.

Copa Del Rey - Round of 32, 1st Leg
AD Alcorcon - Sporting Gijon (1-0)
            Lopez 52'

Recap: Our first game in the tournament we have won the last two years proved to be a lot more difficult than we anticipated even though we didn't rest our starters with a short break coming up. Silver lining: we didn't give up a goal at home.

            League Match 14
AD Alcorcon - Malaga CF (4-0)
            Lopez 43'
            Lopez 51' (P)

            Pons Riera 56' (OG)
            Miguel 86'

Recap: Odd game, the score will say we dominated the visitors but the reality is that, even though Malaga never really established themselves in this one, we never really exerted our dominance in this game and the score suggests otherwise because of a penalty kick and a (bizarre) own goal. But given the amount of times we outplay the opponent and have nothing to show for we'll gladly take 3 points and a +4 in our goal differential.

CL - Group Stage, Match 5
Sporting CP - AD Alcorcon (1-0)
            Adrien 24'

Recap: With their season on the line the Portuguese squad played a hell of a game, suffocating us on defense and attacking just enough to constantly keep us on our toes. The somewhat early goal allowed them to control the game from that point on and the win keeps them alive in the group while forcing us to earn at least a point at Liverpool in the last group match in order to completely eliminate the Portuguese.

            League Match 15
RCD Espanyol - AD Alcorcon (1-0)
            Bangura 25'

Recap: Yet another awful performance by our boys who can't remain consistent when they reach top form. A game eerily similar to our last game in Portugal that made us miss an opportunity to place ourselves 1 point from the league leaders.

            Liga BBVA Standings
            1. Valencia CF - 31 pts
            2. Real Sociedad - 30pts
            3. FC Barcelona - 30pts
            4. Real Madrid - 29pts
            5. AD Alcorcon - 27pts
            6. Atletico Madrid - 27pts

            7. Sevilla FC - 27pts
            8. Athletic Bilbao - 27pts
            9. RC Deportivo - 26pts
            ...
            18. RCD Mallorca - 12pts
            19. Getafe CF - 9pts
            20. Real Valladolid - 6pts

            CL Standings, Group F
            1. Liverpool - 6pts - 15pts*
            2. AD Alcorcon - 9pts (+5 GD)

            3. Sporting CP - 6pts (-1 GD)
            4. FC Basel - 0pts

I guess if there's any consolation in the inconsistencies the team has had is that we're right in the middle of a heated 9-team battler, with only 5 points separating the 1st place team from the 9th place team. Another positive is that we have the 2nd best GD in the league (+16) but we also have dropped games against the two teams that are likely to start breaking away from the pack (Real Madrid and Barca). It'll be imperative that we take all 9 points we'll be in play for in December against lesser opponents (Celta, Rayo Vallecano, and Getafe). We'll also play the 2nd leg of our matchup against Sporting Gijon the day before Christmas Eve. In Champions league we'll travel to Liverpool in our second game this month when we'll need to either win or draw to clinch 2nd place in the group or else hope that either Sporting doesn't win against Basel or if they do that the combination of their victory and our defeat doesn't result in them flipping the +6 edge we currently have in goal differential. The pressure seems to never wear off.

As far as our academy is concerned you may remember that we have completely filled it and at this point we're just tracking player progress. Here's the youth squad:
            • Victor Jimenez (CM, 66-70 OVR, 86-92 POT): 17-year old from Spain described as an attacker. We're hopeful that he'll stick in the academy for the full season in order to give himself a better chance to be an impact player for us right away. A special talent.
            • Mansour Haron (CB, 47-55, 82-94): 16-year old from Saudi Arabia who is physically strong, and when I say he's physically strong I mean that he's 6'6" and 198lbs. Oh yeah.
            • Jacob O'Neill (RB, 53-57, 84-90): 16-year old from Australia who will more than likely play inside at CB due to his size (6'2") and lack of speed. He's described as defensive minded.
            • Victor Velazquez (CAM, 62-66, 83-89): 16-year old Spanish prospect who reminds us of a young Leandro Paredes or Angel Correa. We want to keep him in the academy for another season.
            • Jesus Aurello (ST, 52-58, 79-89): 16-year old from Mexico recently settled in as a striker. Described as technically gifted.
            • Wasl Al Harbi (RB, 47-53, 79-89): 17-year old from Saudi Arabia who also projects as more of a CB due to his size (6'2") and lack of speed. He's also described as defensive minded.
            • Luis Martinez (ST, 51-57, 78-86): 16-year old from Mexico who is described as technically gifted. We're really excited about his potential at the front of our attack.
            • Cameron Jones (LB, 46-52, 75-83): 16-year old from Australia who will also be playing inside due to lack of speed mostly. We'll see if we can develop him into a CDM/CB dual player.
            • Victor Jimenez (CM, 58-62, 74-80): 17-year old from Venezuela who is a defensive-minded midfielder. He needs to remain in the academy for now but we're not sure he'll want to stay in it for another full season given his age.
            • Johnny Wilson (CF, 54-58, 74-80):16-year old from England who scouts compare to Farago. We're hoping he'll stick with the academy for another full season.
            • Diego Rodriguez (ST, 48-50, 74-80): 16-year old from Mexico described as technically gifted. He projects as more of a sub for us but we're still hoping to speed up his development.
            • Julio Gutierrez (LW, 53-57, 73-79): 16-year old from Spain who brings some speed to the pitch. He's settled at LW which is a great fit for him but he showed very little improvement in the academy last season so another full year here would be the best for him.
            • Mohammed Almeshaugeh (CB, 38-40, 72-78): 16-year old from Saudi Arabia described as physically strong. Another defender standing at 6'2" but he's really raw right now so a lot of development in the academy would be key for him.
            • Francisco Miguel (CF, 51-55, 71-75): 16-year old from Spain described as technically gifted but needs to remain in the academy for at least one more season.
            • Damon Elliot (CF, 51-55, 70-74): 16-year old from England who projects as a speedy attacker. His best shot at being a long-term consideration for us is to stay in the academy for one more season.

            * Denotes recent addition to the academy.

Current Roster (* Denotes player graduated from the youth academy):

            Spoiler

Unfortunately Badile Salawu just suffered Broken Tailbone and will be out for a significant amount of time (expected to be 4 months). It's next man up in our lineup and Juan Morientes will get the first crack at the starting spot though Serge Gnarby and Dani Barrera are right on Morientes' heels.

Finally, let's see how I'm doing in my new gig with the A.F.A.

2022 World Cup - CONMEBOL QUALIFIERS

            Argentina - Brazil (2-1)
            Dybala 10'
            Rafinha 12'
            Icardi 42'

Recap: A switch to the 4-4-2 diamond worked wonders for our squad as we were able to beat our rivals. The new formation helped our defense a lot while also allowing us to play with more ball control on offense.

            Argentina - Uruguay (4-2)
            Messi 19'
            Messi 33'
            Aguero 37' (P)

            Caseres 45'
            Cavani 63'
            Paredes 90'

Recap: In further proof that the new formation is working wonders we were able to defeat the team that handed me my first loss as the head man for Argentina. We're still trying to find the perfect lineup in the new formation but there is no question that Leandro Paredes creates havoc equally as a RW in the 4-3-3 and as a RM in the 4-4-2 diamond.

            CONMEBOL WC Qualifiers Standings
            1. Uruguay - 22pts
            2. Colombia - 19pts
            3. Argentina - 18pts
            4. Brazil - 18pts
            5. Chile - 16pts

            6. Peru - 15pts
            7. Ecuador - 13pts
            8. Paraguay - 11pts
            9. Venezuela - 5pts
            10. Bolivia - 5pts

So after 4 games I've been able to solidify us in a qualifying positing for the World Cup although the nation will not be happy with anything less than the top spot. There are still 8 games left so plenty of time to accomplish that. The games above took place in October, while in November we had a couple of friendlies. For these games we called every young up-and-coming star for the country and a couple of veterans in their upper-20's who haven't played for me yet. Without a doubt the one player who has my attention at the moment is Rodrigo Villalva, a 23-year old, right-footed striker who stands at 6'3" 174lbs but is also a speedster/acrobat (97 acc, 98 sod, 96 agi ... 80 OVR). Even though AD Alcorcon is currently set at that position he's surely a tempting option for any team in the world right now.

            International Friendlies
            Argentina - Cote d'Ivoire (4-2)
            Cartabia 23'
            Centurion 31'
            Cartabia 40' (P)
            Araujo 61'

            Doumbia 72
            Kone 89'

Recap: Argentina's next generation is bright and full of hope. They easily handled the visitors from Africa although they did show some of the same defensive deficiencies that ail the main roster.

            Argentina - United States (1-2)
            Boyd 8'
            Silva 13'
            Araujo 56'

Recap: It turns out that USA's two wins over Argentina in the most recent world cup weren't all because of the coaching (mine). The very same core of players that made an incredible run in that tournament to finish second once again defeated the Argentinians.

And well that's all for now. See ya!

You're sitting nicely in 3rd too which is great! Congratulations on qualifying for the World Cup with Venezuela!!! Rondon retiring is a huge shock! 9 goals in qualifying and he decides to hang up his boots! Mind boggling. Good luck with the next few months!
Thanks man! I don't want to get too excited with Dagenham because there are so many games left but I'm definitely happy as hell with Venezuela. And it was MARIO Rondon who retired, not SALOMON who scored the 9 goals so at least I'll still have him

Gents, sorry for not posting earlier. Been very busy with Christmas dropping off gifts, visiting family, etc etc. I wasn't even able to post the Wimbledon update. It's past midnight here so it's the 26th now, but I still want to say merry Christmas to everybody I hope you all had an amazing time with your families. Good to see the forum was extremely busy over the holiday too! You guys left me with plenty of reading to do.

                Jamie congrats on the PS4!!!

A pretty hit and miss 2 months you had there. But you're still in the middle of that 9 team pack (which is really interesting btw) and I think you'll finish strongly.

In regards to Rondon, Oh lol I only read the second name I guess lol.

Sorry, I just thought that you could've been busy with work or Fifa... or you could have missed it. I have played The Force Unleashed but I do not own it. It's a cool game. By the way, who is you favourite Star Wars character? My favourite is Jar Jar Binks. He is amazing and really funny (let the fighting begin).

I'm very sad to hear that the Wimbledon career is coming to an end. It was a spectacular journey and i hope it ends in a way it deserves. It will take time getting used to the thread and your posts without the Wimbledon logo. If the career is ending, does this mean that you're getting a PS4? And what will you do after the real Dons?

I'm just messing with you Simp you know how it is. I like Jar Jar I don't know why he gets so much heat from the anti-prequel Star Wars fans. It's difficult to choose a favorite character actually. I think I'm just gonna play it safe and say Anakin Skywalker. Star Wars is his story really. If you take away all the space battles, lightsabers, and blasters, you find that Star Wars is actually a story with an incredible twist that shows you the bad guy was actually the good guy all along. It actually makes you feel bad for the "villain." His own feelings betrayed him (and other things of course specifically Darth Sidious/Palpatine.) Star Wars could easily be a chick flick but George Lucas manned it up for us lol

I hate to see the Wimbledon career come to an end, but it is time. And yes, I did get a PS4. I'm actually setting it up right now! As I had said if I didn't receive it for Christmas I would buy it myself anyway, but I was still very surprised to unwrap that gift.

Very interesting question. What will I do. The first thing I'll do when I get FIFA started is play with Guadalajara no doubt, but I don't think I will post that career since I'll mainly be adjusting to the new game and the only signings I'll make are those made in real life. For my first posted career mode I am still not sure. My first thought is creating a Union Berlin career in Bundesliga 2, but I fear that that career mode may be seen as an act of war by some....you. Hahaha. There are a lot of teams I am considering to use. Valencia, Osasuna, Bolton, Hamburg and Roma to just name a few, but I haven't decided yet. I have 5 PS4 games now though so I'll be playing a little bit of everything before my FIFA addiction kicks in again.

I have to admit that I lied about Jar Jar. I was expecting a heated reaction, you know, just playing with you. I also don't get all the prequel hate. I didn't grow with the originals, though, so maybe that has something to with me not hating them.

My favourite character is Obi-Wan. He is calm, wise and he kicks ***.

Congratulations on the PS4! I hope you enjoy it. By the way, what five games have you got? You had two few days ago. Fifa, Shadow of Mordor...

                        Glory Glory Man United

                        January 2016

                        Transfers In

                        Jordan Henderson

78 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 25 Years Old, England

                        €12,000,000

Manchester United signed a lot of players in January and the cheapest and most controversial was the signing of Jordan Henderson from a rival Liverpool. The Englishman arrived for a considerably low fee (for an English player) of twelve million euros. Henderson is a well-rounded midfielder who can play pretty much everywhere in United's diamond. Henderson isn't expected to be a starter.

                        Roberto Firmino

81 Ovr, Attacking Midfielder, 24 Years Old, Brazil

                        €15,000,000

The second-cheapest signing Man United made in the window was buying the Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim for low price of fifteen million. Since his breakthrough year in 2014 Firmino has been chased by a lot of big clubs and now he joined one. Firmino is fast, skillful and he can play in pretty much every attacking position on the pitch and he will strengthen ManU's bench which was missing an attacking midfielder.

                        James McCarthy

81 Ovr, Defensive Midfielder, 25 Years Old, Republic of Ireland

                        €17,500,000

The Irish holding midfielder who goes by the name of James McCarthy was the next signing Manchester United made. The young holding midfielder was signed for seventeen million euros which is a million more than what Everton payed for him two years ago. The manager Corleone hopes that McCarthy will make the defence stronger and that he can become the new Roy Keane.

                        Paco Alcacer

82 Ovr, Striker, 22 Years Old, Spain

                        €20,000,000

Fransisco Alcacer Garcia, also known as simply Paco Alcacer, was one of the two players that Manchester United had to pay twenty million or more for. Alcacer should be worth much more than that because only at the age of twenty-two he has played three good seasons for Valencia and he is part of the Spanish national team. Alcacer won't get a starting spot yet but when Robin van Persie retires he has a good chance to break into the starting eleven.

                        Arturo Vidal

85 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 28 Years Old, Chile

                        €25,000,000

The most expensive signing Manchester United made in January was Arturo Vidal from Juventus. United have been interested in him since 2013 and now they finally got him for a small fee of twenty-five million euros for a player of Vidal's qualities. The Chilean has been the most important piece of Juventus' midfield in the last years and he is still considerably young. Vidal is very well rounded player who is good at basically everything. He will take the starting spot left open by the departure of Ander Herrera.

                        Transfers Out

                        Anderson
                        , €3,400,000
                        Tom Cleverley, €7,000,000
                        Ander Herrera, €26,000,000

                        Manchester United 1 - 0 Crystal Palace
                        Blind 82'

                        Everton 0 - 1 Manchester United
                        Rooney 65'

This game between the two good teams was very even and both keepers performed really well. At the end it all came down to Wayne Rooney's header after the hour mark which flew into the net.

                        FA Cup Round of 64
                        Manchester United 3 - 1 Middlesbrough
                        Perez 10, 36', Chicharito 67'
                        Tomlin 87'

                        Manchester United 2 - 0 Norwich City
                        Chicharito 29', Januzaj 50'

                        Manchester United 0 - 0 Chelsea

These two team played a goalless draw earlier this season before Corleone took over and now with him in charge the game ended in a goalless draw again.

                        FA Cup Round of 32
                        Manchester United 2 - 1 Aston Villa
                        Rooney 39', 71'
                        Kuyt 50'

                        Player of the Month

                        Wayne Rooney

This month it wasn't easy picking someone who was better than everyone else -which just shows that Manchester United are a team- but at the end the captain Wayne Rooney did the most in this month. He scored three very important game-winning goals and he was always a threat in attack.

                        Starting XI

                        League Table

                        1. Manchester United, 53 pts
                        2. Chelsea, 52 pts
                        3. Arsenal, 48 pts

                        6. Tottenham Hotspur, 40 pts
                        ------------------------------------------------
                        18. Cardiff City, 18 pts
                        19. Crystal Palace, 16 pts
                        20. Nottingham Forest, 14 pts

                        Press Conference

Almost a perfect month but you drew with Chelsea. How did the month go in your opinion?

I think we did well this month. Not amazingly but well. In some games we should've done more and we should've played better football but the most important thing is that we won all games except for the Chelsea one. We still did good against them. A goalless draw maybe isn't the most exciting game but at least they didn't beat us and we had some chances.

Would you say that the league is a two horse race now?

No, I wouldn't say that yet. Arsenal still have a chance to overtake Chelsea and I really hope that happens. We need to wait two more months to see if it will become a two horse race.

How would you describe your first two months at the club?

They have been amazing. The staff is very nice, the players are good guys and they do everything for the team, the board isn't breathing down my neck and everyone has been really professional. I often talk with Sir Alex about tactics and transfers and I'm glad I have his full support. I think he will make a better manager.

Let's talk about transfers. Why did you sell Anderson, Cleverley and Herrera?

I sold the first two because they were not needed at the club. They weren't good enough players for Manchester United and they were on too high wages. Ander Herrera was sold because he didn't fit our playing style and we bought Vidal.

                        How about the arrivals?

Henderson was bought because I wanted to have more British players at the club and we needed a substitute central midfielder. Firmino is here for squad depth and McCarthy was bought because he is a good player and he has a lot of potential. I think he can become like Roy Keane. Alcacer was brought in for the future and because we needed a good second-choice striker and we bought Vidal because we needed a good central midfielder for the starting eleven and the club was after him for quite some time.

You will play against Juventus in the Champions League. Do you think you can beat them?

I beat them already with Hellas Verona. If I can do it with them I'm completely sure I can do it with a team like Manchester United.

I knew you would like the McCarthy signing. He was my defensive midfielder target number one because I wanted to get "a new Roy Keane" to the team because I'm reading Ferguson's book and he talks a lot about Keane. Did you notice how I didn't write just Ireland? I wrote Republic of Ireland. Are you happy???? Did you notice it????

I'm on World Class with default sliders except for fullback width and length or whatever it's called. If you meant default squads I'm using the latest that were available when I started the career.

I'm trying Professional right now with default sliders to see I'd its more enjoyable.

Great month! The only downside is that Chelsea draw but then again Chelsea are great at defending. Those signings though! As usual you had a very productive transfer window and United is on the rise again. Good to see Chicharito getting some goals as well of course.
