Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

"Mate, relax. You've got this. Remember the plan, yeah?"

Easy to tell someone to relax when you're not the one whose @rse is on the line. Sure, Liam's done well to get me the interview at Selhurst Park, but it's not in his hands once I walk through that door, is it?

"Liam and Indi, the board will see you now."

Bollocks. What have I got myself into?

      .....

"Indi, welcome. Have a seat. Let me introduce my partners: Jeremy Hosking, Martin Long, and Stephen Browett. And of course, our chief executive, Phil Alexander."

The fella who ran away to New Zealand because he couldn't get a game in Division Three?

"It's a pleasure, gentlemen. Mr. Parish, I want to thank you and your colleagues for agreeing to see me."

"Please, Indi. Steve will do. Right then, what have you got for us?"

Oh, what have I got? Check this out.

      ...

"Hell, mate. I told you it'd be fine!"

"Leave it, Liam. Save the praise until I've been offered the job."

"But did you see the looks on their faces? Parish went right berserk with joy when you outlined that five-year plan!"

      "Liam."

      "What, son?"

      "Just shut up, mate."

      ...

      "Gaffer, you there?"

"Who's that? Oh, Gary. How are you, lad? Bloody hell, how many of you are there? What are you lot doing round my place?"

"What's this about you leaving the club?"

"New manager, lads. I've got no place with the first team anymore."

"Yeah, but you can come back and coach us, can't ya? We still ain't got a coach."

"Look, lads. I loved working with you lot. I watched some of you when you were with the under-18 side, but to go from first team coach to under-21 coach is a move backwards in my career."

"I thought you enjoyed working with us?"

"I do, but you have got to understand that it's not so simple. I have to look after myself as well, and moving back sends the wrong message to any future employers."

      "Wait, so you've already gone?"

"Put my papers in yesterday, mate. I'll be released by tomorrow."

      "Oh, come on!"

"Boys, I think you lot should head back to wherever it is you need to be. As much as I like you guys, you're interfering in things what don't concern you. Jog on."

Bloody kids. As if I needed another reminder of why I love Brighton & Hove Albion.

      ...

"So your attorneys have gone over the documentation?"

"They have. Indi's quite satisfied with the terms, as well. We're looking forward to this very much."

      "Indi doesn't seem so eager."

      "What? Oi, Indi. Indi. INDI!"

"Oh, sorry. Just... I got distracted. Steve, would you mind if I had a quick word with Liam?"

"Of course not. I'll leave you to it. I have a call to make anyway. We can sign the papers once we're all ready."

      ...

"What the hell is wrong with you, son? You're one signature away from becoming a Premier League manager. Have you lost your mind?"

      "I can't do it, Liam."

      "Come again?"

"I can't join Palace. Maybe I resent Tony Bloom and the board, but I bloody love Brighton. There's no way I can join Palace."

"You've given your word, mate. Steve Parish has spent all his time showing you around and introducing you to everyone."

"I don't know what you're going to do, but you're my agent. Handle this. I'm leaving."

"Indi! Indi! Where the hell... ah, son of a b*tch!"

      ...

"So essentially, my client won't be signing the contract."

"What's this about? Are you posturing for more money? Because I think we've offered very fair terms."

"No, Steve. It's not about the money. It's not about anything related to the terms of the contract. Indi simply can't join the rival of a club he's been with for almost ten years."

"He should have thought about it before giving his verbal agreement. Now I suggest you take this contract with you and have him sign it. Otherwise, Liam, you'll be hearing from our legal team."

"Mr. Parish, I am a barrister by trade, so I am well aware that you have no basis for litigation on the basis of a verbal agreement. We will NOT be signing any contract. Now what I suggest is that you not waste your resources making empty legal threats, and instead focus on looking for someone to run this club. Good day."

      ...

"I hope you're happy, mate. That's our reputation done!"

"Liam, I'm so sorry. But I just couldn't do it."

"Yeah, alright. I understand. Just next time, maybe you can have these epiphanies a bit earlier?"

"I need to get away, mate."

      "Holiday would do you well."

"No, I mean permanently. I need to get away from this place."

      "What do you mean?"

"I mean I want to leave Brighton. In fact, I'm calling Leo first thing in the morning to list the house for sale."

"Look, Indi. Maybe you want to think about this before..."

"Trust me, mate. The longer I think about things, the more it's going to hurt what Tony Bloom's done. I want to get out of here."

      "You sure?"

      "Positive."

      "Where to then?"

      Good bloody question.

"Anywhere. Yorkshire, Midlands, wherever. I just need to get the hell out of here."

"Let me see what I can do. Oh, you know, I think I heard something about Steve Bruce might be looking for a new assistant."

"Bloody hell, that would be mint. Round up whatever opportunities you can, mate. We'll make a meal of it."

After ten years on the coast, I'm finally going to get out of here. About damn time.

          Peterborough United

          Fergerson Resigns as Posh Boss
          Sky Sports, May 28th 2014

After the failed attempt of promotion to the Championship losing to Leyton Orient in the playoffs, long serving manager Darren Fergerson has resigned. The club's chairman Darragh MacAnthony announced the resignation on the clubs website today and then confirmed the departure at a press confernece today. "We are sadden to announce the resignation of long serving manager Darren Fergerson, We thank him dealy for his contributions and wish him the best for future." MacAnthony quoted.

Sky Sources in Peterborogh believe that Fergerson was forced to resign after the Peterborogh fans where angered by the way he dealt with transfers, having a policy that all players entering their final year are transfer listed. This policy caused many key players to leave the club on cheap deals. We believe that the fans had enough when they saw club captain Tommy Rowe and fans favourite not being offered a contract. Sky Sources also understand that fans have protested the policy threatening not to attend home games causing the board to step in. We believe that key players such as Mark Little, Danny Swanson, Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Craig Alcock as well as Tommy Rowe have been released by Fergerson and are at new clubs, whilst experienced midfielder Grant McCann and winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing have been transfer listed by Fergerson too. First choice goal keeper in Robert Olejnik who kept 22 clean sheets, second choice keeper Joe Day, backman Shaun Brisley, striker Tyrone Barnett about to complete loan deals away from the club after also being put up for sale by the former Posh boss due to them entering their final year. Also, the speculation over star striker Britt Assombalonga who lead League One in scoring last season being linked away to Championship clubs with Nottingham Forest the favourite to land the 21 year old, With this happening you have to understand what the fans are going through and why they are angered.

At the Press Conference, Darragh MacAnthony said the club are looking all around the world for a new manager that meets the demands we have for this club. However, the search hasn't started and we have no names.

Peterborough Close in on a Manager as Assombalonga leaves to Nottingham Forest
          BBC Sports, June 27th 2014

Our Sources understand that Peterborough have arranged a Press conference for the 1st of July where it's rumoured to have their new manager. Many Sources believe that it is young up and coming manager from Australia in Jake Gaspar, Gaspar is to believed to have had a very successful career in his home country and is wanting a move to Europe.

However, whoever the manager is he won't have star striket Brit Assombalonga after Notingham Forest announced on their website that the clubs have made an agreement for the player and is subject to a medical. The fee is around 5 million pounds with add ons and will become Forest's record signing if the deal goe's through.

Peterborough have also taken all players on the transfer list off we understand. However, Robert Olejnik and Shaun Brisley have been loaned out too S****horpe United, Tyrone Barnett has been loaned to Oxford United and Joe Day has been loaned to Newport County. The club released a statment saying the players have been loaned out due to their unknown futures at the club, When the new manager is announed we will give him the power to decide the faits of the players.

Due to these players being out on loan Peterborough have signed two players in Goal Keeper Ben Alnwick from Leyton Orient and former long serving Centre Back Gabriel Zakuani who lefted the club just 6 months ago due to the situtation with the transfer policy the club had.

Jake Gaspar Announced as Posh Boss, As 3 New Faces Join Peterborough.
Sky Sports. 1st of July 2014

Jake Gaspar, 37 has been announced as Peterborough Manager today, signing a three year contract with the club. The Press Conference was held earlier this morning to announce the new manager. Also at the Press Conference was three new players in 21 year old winger Jon Taylor who signed from Shrewsbury Town, 25 year old full back Michael Smith who signed from Bristol Rovers and 19 year old striker Luke James who signed from Hartlepool United.

Here is the Script of the Press Conference from Jake Gasapr today:

Q: Welcome to England, how do you feel at the moment?

A: Great, this is an amazing opportunity for me and I am very privlaged to be here today.

          Q: Why Peterborough?

A: I had a number of Job offers from around the globe, Europe was my main aim to be, My agent called me saying that an English club are intrested in you and want to speak to you. After I had that phone call I knew that Peterborough were the team.

Q: The fans have been outraged by the policies the previous manager had with transfers, Whats your take on it?

A: I laugh at the policy. It's stupid that a club transfer lists players who have one year left on their contract. This won't be my policy and will make sure key players don't leave our club anymore.

Q: Your goals for the club?

A: Last season the team fought for promotion in one of the toughest league one seasons. I feel this season we should o the same given the team in the divison and the squad we have.

Q: You have lost many key players from last season including Brit Assombalonga, the club has also loaned out players with you deciding their futures at the club. How are you going to address that?

A: I had no power in losing these players, but it's my job to build the team from the player losses we have had. The club have signed 5 players already that can fill the roles left by the departed players. Look, I have a Hungry 19 year old striker ready for success next too me. I will sit down and decide what I'm going to do with all the transfers and deal with the futures of the loaned out players. But I haven't had time to think yet.

          Thankyou

Taylor will wear the Number 7 shirt, Alnwick will wear the number 27 shirt, Zakuani will wear 25, Smith will wear the number 2 and James will wear the number 9.

Man and this is his first week on FIFA! Wonder how many people are going to start a new career over again just to have him in the game. Better be quick because I'm sure that potential will be gone in next week's update!

About your League 2 idea: I, and many others on here, love League 2 careers. It's the best, really. However, and this is only MY point of view, using a financial takeover would take away the best part of a League 2 career. One of my favorite parts of my Wimbledon career was the fact that you really had to do your homework before the transfer windows. I only had enough cash for 1 or maybe 2 signings, so I had to make sure they were the right ones. I didn't start a youth academy until my second season and that was with two low star scout, but those low star scouts ended up finding 3 players that stayed in the squad until the end of my career. At the end of the day, your career is ultimately about you having fun, so if you feel a financial takeover will be the most fun for you, do it my friend! I think if you only use your financial takeover cash for the academy and not for transfers it will still be fun.

My favorite signing HAS to be Luke James without a doubt! He's going to be a beast for you! He played different roles for me almost each season and he worked out in all of them; First as a winger, then as a creative striker, after a few seasons there he became the target striker, and in the end he was also very dangerous as a CAM in a 4-3-3 Attack. I only used that formation for certain matches though. Looking forward to seeing how he does for you!

Another fantastic write up. I haven't read a book with an actual story in a long time, but this reminded me of why I loved reading them. Sooooooooooo are we going to Hull? With the way this career has been going so far, I wouldn't be surprised if we see another twist!

                  FIFA 15 - Season 3

                  Fotbalová asociace České republiky

                  Czech Republic Announces New Manager

Just one month before World Cup Qualifying is set to start, the Czech Republic have announced they will be bringing on St. Pauli manager, Tex Bumosix. The American has led St. Pauli to a 2. Bundesliga title, and 8th place Bundesliga finish, and the Deutscher-Pokal over Bayern Munich. It is rumored that Bumosix has distant Czech heritage through his grandmother on his father's side, and has been interested in assuming this role for some time now, having turned down both Bolivia and Scotland who showed interest previously.

The Czech Republic National Team has existed since 1901 under a variety of different names, ultimately coming into it's current form in 1992 after the separation of Czechoslovakia. Their best finish came in their first international competition where they finished 2nd in the Euro 1996 competition. They have qualified just once for the World Cup, back in 2006, and will be looking to Bumosix to get them into the 2018 tournament.

With most of their top players beginning to show signs of aging, Bumosix will hope to take advantage of this one last World Cup cycle from the likes of Petr Cech, Tomas Rosicky, Jaroslav Plasil, David Rozehnal, Jan Polak, and Tomas Sivok. Under these circumstances though, he will have to begin thinking about the next generation of Czech football and focus on developing future national team options. The country will be watching closely to see if the new manager will be able to lead the team in the right direction and become a force in international play.

                  Press Conference

Q: Congratulations on your new position with the Czech Republic. We understand that this was a job you had your eyes on for some time now, what attracted you to this position?

A: The Czech Republic has produced some world class players, and one of the finest keepers I have ever seen in Petr Cech. They have always had the potential to be great, but have gotten unlucky at times. I have followed them at arms length for some time now due to my grandmother coming from old Czechoslovakia. I think this is a team that has the pieces in place, and I believe that we will have great success together.

Q: What type of tactics do you intend to implement for the team? What are the strengths that you see in the squad currently?

A: I think a 4-5-1 will look to be the most ideal option to utilize these players to their strengths. However, nothing is set in stone. I will be reviewing the roster extensively over the next few weeks to determine what would be idea going into our first match together. This team is solid on the defensive side. We have a great goal keeper and a solid back line, and I will look to use that to our advantage.

Q: How important will it be to bring new players into the national team moving forward? Is that detrimental to your goal of qualifying for the World Cup?

A: It is absolutely a priority to bring new players in. We have to continue to grow as a country in terms of football, and the earlier we can bring players in, the earlier they will be ready to perform on the big stages. Our veterans will ultimately be the most important pieces we have for the World Cup campaign, but we have to find the right balance to capitalize on the presence, while building for the future.

My man you got it!! I've never seen anyone use the Czechs so really looking forward to this! Your cycle starts just in time for the qualifiers too. Since the Czech Republic isn't a scout-able country I hope they have enough high potential players already in the system for you to stay strong after the stars retire and you have to wait for their Regens. Congratulations man! When you decide to wait for a certain national team it always feels like forever for them to make an offer so I'm really glad you finally got it.

Thanks! I'm excited to come in and have my first match be the first of the qualifying cycle. Gives me a chance to earn it completely on my own merit.

Oh, Czech Republic actually is scout-able. I have 2 currently in my academy.

Champions League Quarter Final Leg 2

                          Roma 0-1 Newcastle (1-1 agg. 4-5 pens)
                          Bony 74
This game was our biggest of the season so far. Away from home in the packed Stadio Olimpico, it was a big night for Roma and a big night for us. As the last English team in the competition, the reputation of the Premier League was in our hands. Begovic made multiple brilliant saves but the Roma defence was playing incredibly. However, our talismanic striker Wilfried Bony stepped up to beat his man and smash into the top corner. The match went to extra time and neither side could get a goal, taking it to penalties. Pjanic knocked in for Roma, Ronaldinho equalised. De Rossi. Balasz. Destro. Bony. Strootman. Oliveira. Emanuelson. Is saved. Begovic stopped it with his knees. Captain Kolo Toure finds the top corner and puts us in the semi-finals.

                          Match 32

                          Sunderland 1-1 Newcastle
                          Ronaldinho 33
                          Johnson 45

The second Tyne-Wear derby was extremely disappointing. Ronnie opened the scoring, curling into the top corner from the edge of the box. Unfortunately, Johnson was able to drive into the bottom corner from close range. The rest of the match was quite dull.

                          Match 33

                          Newcastle 0-1 Watford
                          Deeney 71
Deeney got the only goal of a game we should have ran away with, heading in after Begovic failed to collect the ball. Watford's Korean goalkeeper made some excellent saves to deny us.

Champions League Semi Final Leg 1

                          Newcastle 0-1 PSG
                          Lavezzi 4
Lavezzi curled in the only goal of the game, finding the bottom corner very early on. The PSG keeper was called into action on many occasions but we were unable to find the net and we will have the work to do at the Parc des Princes.

                          Match 34

                          Newcastle 0-0 Norwich
A dull draw that continues our awful form in the league. Unfortunately, Ronaldinho picked up an injury that will put him out of the rest of the season.

Champions League Semi Final Leg 2

                          PSG 1-1 Newcastle (2-1 agg)
                          Bony 42
                          Ibrahimovic 117

In a match we needed to win to have a chance to go to the final, we had the chance to do just that. Murnane was bought down by Luiz but Sirigu saved Bony's penalty excellently. Bony made amends however, smashing into the top corner when played through. Begovic made a ton of excellent saves to keep us in it. The game went to extra time and we held firm, as did the solid David Luiz for PSG. Unfortunately, very late on Ibra got a shot on goal. It was saved but he stroked it in on the rebound to put PSG into the final. Unfortunately, the match ended with Medel out for 3 weeks and Oliveira out for 2 months.

                          Champions League Final

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have reached the final of the UEFA Champions League at the San Siro. Real Madrid won the tournament last season after beating FC Barcelona in the final, becoming the first team to win the trophy twice in a row. They have now got the chance to win the trophy three times in a row and win trophy number 12. PSG have never reached the final of the Champions League and not won any European competitions since the 2001 Intertoto Cup. The 2 powerhouses of finance go head to head, Ibra vs Ronaldo, Cavani vs Benzema, Lucas vs Bale. The biggest stars of modern football head to head. Real beat Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund on route to the final. PSG beat Tottenham Hotspur, CSKA Moskva and Newcastle United on route.

                          Europa League Final

Everton will take on Lazio in the final of the Europa League at St. Jakob-Park in Basel. The reigning Premier League champions have struggled to juggle league games and European games and this is their last route into Europe next season thanks to their poor league form. Eliminated from the Champions League after finishing behind CSKA Moskva and Atletico Madrid in their group, they took Europa League football in their stride. Progressing to the last 16, from there they beat Chelsea, Inter and Benfica on route to the final. Roman side Lazio finished second in their group behind Lyon but progressed to the last 16 where they beat Wolfsburg, then PSV and lastly Athletic Bilbao.

Everton have only ever won the Cup Winners Cup in European competition, however during their golden era all English clubs were banned due to the Heysel disaster. Lazio have only won the UEFA Cup Winners Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, back in 1999. These two sides are going out for one of their biggest trophies since their founding.

                          FA Cup Final

Tottenham Hotspur will take on West Ham United in the FA Cup final. Tottenham have made it to the final beating Fulham in the last 16 and then beating Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. West Ham beat Hull, Newcastle and Manchester City on route to the final. Spurs have won 8 FA Cups, the last being in 1991, to West Hams 3, the last in 1980. West Ham were part of a legendary final against Liverpool in 2006 while Spurs were the first non-league team to lift the trophy.

                          Final Month Coming Up

With Newcastle, who were having a cracking season, struggling last month, Chelsea were able to leapfrog them and have the chance to take the title away from them. With Newcastle's tough fixtures against Everton, Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham United, there is a high possibility that Chelsea will steal the title away. Meanwhile, Aston Villa have continued their shocking form, sitting in third place with 3 games left, and still not ruled out of the title race. Spurs are fighting for 4th place with Arsenal, as usual.

Last years league league title winners Everton are sitting in 10th and are out of the European race while cup finalists West Ham are in the relegation battle along with Watford and Norwich while QPR and Wigan are both essentially down.

                            March 2015 - Season 1
                            FIFA 15 (PS4)

                            CA Osasuna 1 - 1 Real Betis
                            OSA: Cuevas 8'
                            BET: Molina 40'
Second vs Third and the scoreline shows just how tight this match was. This was Sportsfreak's opportunity to get closer to an auto promotion spot again, but Osasuna fought back hard as they try to overthrow Real Valladolid at the top of the table. Miguel De Las Cuevas, who ever since ending his scoring drought against Barcelona has been playing much better, scored the first goal of the night after the loanee Julian Luque played an incredible first-touch through ball to him from midfield that found Cuevas inside the box. Before the halftime whistle, Real Betis attacked down the right wing and crossed the ball into the box where Molina, the club's top scorer, was able to jump higher than Osasuna's defenders and head the ball into the back of the net. Osasuna would push forward the entire second half but Real Betis' goalkeeper Gimenez, one of the league's top goalkeepers, saved everything that was shot towards goal and finished the match with 10 saves and the Man of The Match award.

                            INJURY NEWS
Victor Camarasa suffered a sprained knee during the match against Real Betis and will be out for 3 weeks.

                            RC Recreativo 1 - 2 CA Osasuna
                            OSA: Guillermo 45' Onwu 83'
                            REC: Molina 87'
It looked as though Osasuna would be suffering from the same thing they did against Real Betis, as Recreativo's goalkeeper was at the top of the game and there was no shot he couldn't save. However right before halftime Sisi sent an early cross into the box with perfect timing as Guillermo made a run in behind his marker just barely avoiding an offside call. Guillermo would get to the end of the cross with enough space to head the ball comfortably into the back of the net giving Osasuna the lead! The second half would remain the same, with Osasuna creating plenty of chances but the Recreativo goalkeeper blocking everything. Jose David Ramirez dribbled past his marker in the 80th minute and crossed the ball into the box to find Manuel Onwu, who is great in the air and was able to head the ball in for Osasuna's 2nd goal of the night, finally giving Chavez a chance to breathe. Four minutes later Recreativo got one back through Molina, but they didn't have enough time to score another goal and Osasuna took the 3 points from their stadium.

                            CA Osasuna 6 - 0 Sabadell FC
                            OSA: Guillermo 36' Torres 49' Oier 62' Cuevas 65' 90' Ramirez 90'
Nobody, I mean nobody, was expecting this onslaught from Osasuna. Due to Camarasa's injury and Loe's participation with the Cameroon national team, young Mikel Merino started as CDM and the homegrown player's presence made a huge impact as he not only controlled the midfield in attack, but also stopped several of Sabadell's attacks before they reached the Osasuna centre backs. Guillermo scored the first goal with a header from a cross, and the first half ended 1-0. We were expecting a second half just as tight as the first half, but Osasuna came out of the dressing rooms ready to prey on their victims. In barely the 4th minute of the second half Roberto Torres scored the second goal, assisted by Merino, and this is what set the tone for the rest of the match. In the 62nd minute Torres would send Oier a through ball as Oier ran into the box, and the Spaniard would score Osasuna's 3rd goal. Now we were beginning to see Osasuna's dominance over Sabadell, and only three minutes later Miguel De Las Cuevas scored the 4th goal by bringing down a cross in the left side of the box and shooting it into the net. The match would remain 4-0 for 25 more minutes, until Sabadell really began to get desperate and sent all men forward, refusing to be humiliated without any goals in their favor. Osasuna took advantage of this, and right at the 90th minute Miguel De Las Cuevas dribbled past 2 Sabadell defenders, ran into the box and powered the ball into the net scoring the 5th goal through an incredible individual play. The referee still had the nerve to add 5 more minutes of injury time, and Sabadell received a 6th goal from Osasuna. The loanee Federico Palacios would receive a lob pass inside the box that was perfect for him to shoot first-touch, but the Spanish striker chose to pass it over to Jose David Ramirez who then just had to get the ball on target in an open net. The referee finally blew the final whistle and put an end to Sabadell's misery.

                            SD Ponferradina 0 - 1 CA Osasuna
                            OSA: Oier 77'
When news came that RC Recreativo had upset Real Valladolid and actually defeated them, we knew Osasuna would be pushing hard for the win against Ponferradina from the 1st minute of the match. As expected, Osasuna came out guns blazing pushing Ponferradina back in search for the win, but the Ponferradina goalkeeper was having an amazing match and was blocking everything that went towards goal. Ponferradina has one of the league's top scorers, Andriatsima, but their star striker wasn't able to get on the ball as much due to how high Osasuna were pressuring. The match was coming to a close and Chavez was really desperate now, looking to the sky annoyed with the Ponferradina goalkeeper's outstanding performance. Then in the 77th minute, the stadium exploded. Osasuna had a corner kick that wasn't able to find it's target, but the ball bounced towards Oier who was wide open on the opposite side of the box, and he took his shot to his near post that just barely went in in between the keeper and the post. Three points for Osasuna would mean the league had new league leaders, and the stadium erupted as Oier celebrated the goal with the away fans and his teammates. Ponfferadina's attempts to equalize the match were futile, and Osasuna retook the league leadership!

CA Osasuna Player of The Month

                            LM - Julian Luque (Spain) (66 OVR 23yrs) (+3)
The loanee from RCD Espanyol was very close to winning the award last month before it was given to the top scorer Guillermo, but the young Spanish midfielder stayed consistent enough to give another great month. Luque is a starter with the Osasuna B Team, but he has also been a regular substitute for the first team especially when the team needs an attacking mind on the field. Luque plays as the brain in midfield and other teams have taken notice of this, making it common for Luque to receive multiple fouls when he comes in as a sub. When used out wide, he is a dangerous winger as he tends to cut in to the box and shoot. Luque replaced Roberto Torres at LCM in the match against Real Betis due to Torres' suspension, and although the team didn't hold possession as usual they played a very attacking style of football with Luque assisting Osasuna's only goal. The spaniard's contract with Osasuna would expire at the end of this season, but his performance and development should justify his option to buy and he may be staying at the club permanently if Chavez agrees to go through with it.

(52-66, 78-94): The 16 year old from Spain immediately caught Chavez's eye when the youth academy resumed operations last month, and he is now in line for a potential call up to the senior team in the future. Ramos stands at 6'3" and has yet to decide on a position. With the youth teams he's played as a CB, CDM, Wide Midfielder, and Full Back. The youngster also hasn't chosen which name will be printed on his jersey when he does receive the call up...

                            March Headlines

                            Top of The Table!
Osasuna's season has been a difficult one with Chavez having a bumpy start in Spain, eventually becoming league leaders, losing the 1st place, and now getting it back. It may only be one point separating the top two teams, but what matters is that the Reds are in first! Chavez has developed a rivalry with Real Valladolid this season and it has been escalating as the season reaches an end. It all started in the Summer, when Chavez was trying to sign the young RB Ivan from Levante UD, as Osasuna desperately needed a fullback. Osasuna had reached an agreement with Levante, and were about to begin negotiations with the player, when Real Valladolid came in with a big offer for the same player. Due to the significantly bigger offer, Levante did everything they could to speed up negotiations, and blocked off Osasuna. Ivan would then join Valladolid, where his first team minutes have been minimal. The same situation almost happened 6 months later in January, when Osasuna were in talks with SD Eibar for Raul Albentosa. A fee had been agreed, and right when Osasuna began negotiations with Albentosa, Valladolid came in, bypassing Eibar, and tried to sign Albentosa on a pre-contract agreement. In this scenario, signing with Osasuna would benefit both Eibar and Albentosa, so Valladolid were not the favorites here and the player signed with Osasuna, where he has been an important starter. Now Valladolid are competing with Osasuna for the Liga Adelante title, and given both team's form it looks like it won't be decided until the final match of the season. The first time these two teams faced each other this season it ended in a draw, so predicting how their upcoming matchup will go is very difficult.

                            Copa Del Rey

Next month we'll be seeing the match the fans have been anxiously waiting for: Real Madrid versus Osasuna for the Copa Del Rey. With Real Madrid participating in more prestigious tournaments such as La Liga and the Champions League, one would think Osasuna will have the upper hand since they must care more about winning the cup than Los Merengues, but Real Madrid is one of the clubs that is expected to win every competition they step foot in so they will surely be pushing for the trophy. Osasuna will be confident up front as they count with the cup's top scorer Guillermo in their ranks, but this will be a huge challenge even for the 21 year old striker as he hasn't faced players like Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas yet.

                            Injury News

Victor Camarasa has made a full recovery and is ready to play at 100% in the first match of April. If he is to have any doubts about getting back into action Chavez won't be too worried as the youngster Mikel Merino showed he has more than what it takes to play in the CDM spot. Merino's performance in the 6-0 destruction against Sabadell will not be forgotten by the manager. Osasuna have been training hard in preparation for the decisive matches against Real Madrid and Real Valladolid, but the intense drills have claimed one of the players this week. Karim Ansarifard will be missing the rest of the season as he will be out for 4 months with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury. This unfortunate incident will serve as an opportunity for the loanee Federico Palacios to make some substitute appearances with the B team.

                            Conclusion
Finally got the Youth Academy up and running. I was extremely surprised when Vinuesa appeared on my 3 star scout's first report. Just in time for a May boost. Fingers crossed! Merino continues to impress me and shows why it was a good choice not to sign a center midfielder for the B team in January. I guess I could say that he's a perfect example of why I like using B-Teams. He's only 64 overall, he hasn't grown in stats at all, but he is great on the field and is becoming a regular sub with the first team as well.

                            Any feedback is appreciated,
                            Thanks For Reading!

Man what an incredible way to beat Roma! Coming back on aggregate and then winning the penalty shootout. Then what a terrible way to lose to PSG. I thought you would make a comeback again. Very unfortunate. Losing to a rebound goal is always extremely frustrating, even worse when that lucky goal is what leaves you out of the final. Good thing is that you are still in the fight for the league with a game in hand. You put the "headlines" into real good use I liked it! Very informational. I'm surprised to see Everton, the defending champions (which also surprised me when they won the title), down in 10th with no chance of getting into Europe this season.

Yeah, their only way in is if they beat Lazio in the final. It was frustrating but to be fair, they deserved to go through. Nice to see you approve of the headlines
