Thanks! I was extremely happy when I saw him still with the team when I started. Him and Donnelly have been immense up front for me and I think it'll be them 2 battling it out for the golden boot. I think I actually have 2 games against Wimbledon next month, should be interesting!

Thanks! As I said to Chico above, I think it'll be Donnelly and James battling for top scorer come the end of the season. I hope the form will last too!

      Games

      Bundesliga
      Matchday 7
      VfL Stuttgart 2-0 Hertha Berlin

      48' Ibisevic (Leitner)
      76' Ibisevic (Maxim)

So, our first game of the month was going to be against Hertha Berlin, the team who is actually, yes, at the top of the league. We went to see what is going on in Berlin, but things were not great. Just before the game, Ulreich had sprained his knee, so he would be out for 2 weeks, meaning that Kirschbaum would get to start in this game and the next one.

The game started pretty well, we were moving the ball and making moves, yet Berlin did not look bad at all. First half was very equal, with either side making really good moves. However, in the second half, Leitner made some good moves and passed it into the box, where Ibisevic scored it very well. However, it was a goalkeepers mistake again, since it bounce through the legs yet again - this keeps on happening, I don't know what is going on. It always happens with Ibisevic aswell.

Hertha actually started attacking even better after our goal, but Kirschbaum played very well and kept us in it. But some good skill from Maxim and a great pass aswell left Ibisevic open again and he hit it in. The game ended 2-0 and we got the 3 points from Berlin.

      MOTM: Vedad Ibisevic

      Bundesliga
      Matchday 8
Bayer 04 Leverkusen 2-0 VfL Stuttgart

      25' Castro (Bender)
      29' Calhanoglu (Bender)

So I decided to play a bit of a weaker side against Bayer, since the boys wanted a bit of rest. I figured we should still be able to play really well against them, but things went wrong. so, so wrong. Bender passed the ball to Castro, who was in the middle of our defenders, yet he took a slight step and slammed it into the top left corner.

A few moments later, Calhanoglu was through in the box and put it right next the front post and gave them a two goal lead. I put in Maxim and Ibisevic instantly after the goals, and while we looked better, we still couldn't score. We hit the post plenty of times and Leno was also on form.

It was a sad way to lose - we looked like we could score, yet it never happened. I guess now I know that swapping the team up drastically, isn't always a good idea.

      MOTM: Filip Kostic

      Bundesliga
      Matchday 9
      VfL Stuttgart 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

      4' Meier (Valdez)
      27' Werner (Kostic)

After the poor game against Leverkusen, we went up against Frankfurt before our Pokal game. As I thought we should get the points easily, it was Valdez and Meier playing great football between eachother, as they got past our defense early and scored. I was rather disappointed since the defense looked absolutely poor.

We started attacking early, but we didn't have Ibisevic, so Werner had to work hard upfront. It took us a bit of time, but Werner delivered, as he got took a step to the left to get open in the box and took a shot to the far post. After that, we looked a lot better, yet we couldn't score.

Werner hit the post twice and so did a few others, but for some reason, we couldn't take the lead. I wasn't disappointed with our play, but the score did not make me happy. I guess letting Ibisevic rest would again cost us points.

      MOTM: Timo Werner

      DFB-Pokal
      Round of 32
      1. FC Köln 0-2 VfL Stuttgart

      23' Maxim (Ulreich)
      78' Maxim (Harnik)

So, our last game of the month was a cup game against a team we had faced earlier, Köln. I was feeling pretty confident since we had beat them earlier and I knew that due to the recent results not being the best, we had to bounce back strong in the cup, that is for sure.

The game actually started off pretty equal - I guess Köln had learned from their mistakes in the first game. They looked pretty good and threatening, yet they couldn't actually get a goal. Then, Ulreich hammered his goal kick. Maxim grabbed it and was already through and put it past the keeper. An assist to our keeper, wow.

Maxim wasn't done there, he scored one in the second half aswell, with some good dribbling skill and a good pass getting him in the box and putting it past the keeper. Even if Köln looked a little better, we still came out to play, so I was happy with the finish of the month, atleast.

      MOTM: Alexandru Maxim

      Man of the Month

      Vedad Ibisevic

First month Ulreich, second one Maxim, so I figured that this month has to be the month of Ibisevic. Even if he didn't play 2 games, I learned that without him, we are going to struggle in the attacking department. He did score 2 against Berlin, which is also nice.

      League Table

      My Thoughts

If last month left me with mixed thoughts, then this one is even worse. Losing to Bayer is one thing, I mean, they are a good side, but dropping points against Frankfurt was not on the menu. It also showed that we really need Ibisevic in our games to make that difference.

Also, about Ibisevic, rumors have been surfacing about him wanting to leave. I don't actually know anything about it yet, other than the news posts popping up that he his "homesick". I guess we shall see how things will play out.

Another thing, I want to say sorry for no replying on everybodys posts, I have been reading but just haven't typed anything. I guess you can throw me in the same boat as Rabbit.

Well, that is it for now, thanks for reading and please, leave your comments if there is anything, I hope you enjoyed it!

That was a good start to the month with the win against Hertha, they seemed to have dropped off this month. Then a damaging loss to Leverkusen and draw with Frankfurt. The cup win ended the month on a high however. Ibisevic looks like a vital part of your team. It's also very tight up at the top with all of the top 4 level on points. Should be interesting!

A nice pair of transfers in Nano and Lopez. A lot of draws in January then but at least in the last game you started to score more. Unlucky to get knocked out of the Copa Del Rey but maybe it'll be more of a benefit in the long run with fixtures etc. February was a much better month. Palacios did really well in Guillermo's absence. The only real poor result was the loss to Bilbao but they aren't a bad team. Congrats on getting to the Last 16 of the Europa. The B team is doing you proud. 8th is good going in the league in your first season in La Liga also

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Jamie: A very good month where you only dropped points against United and you still got through on penalties! Bony and Lacazette have been scoring plenty for their respective teams. Good to see the gap you've opened up at the top of the table too. Wimbledon now; They're back! A bag of mixed results but I'm sure that's you just getting used to the squad. BTW what is the squad and what formation are you rolling with?

Indi: I can't remember if I congratulated you on finishing 10th, which is very respectable in your first season, so Congrats! You got a fairly big budget and spent it well getting in a lot of depth and reducing the age of the squad. They'll allow you to push on for a higher finish this season and I hope you do!

Simp: December wasn't your best month but you still remained unbeaten, mainly thanks to Kieta who got some late and important goals. A massive fee for Rulli! Nice signings with Nainggolan, Marquinhos, Perin, Bentalab and Paza. Really improved the team. Dybala was a shock departure but due to his poor form and your ruthlessness it isn't a surprise I guess! A fairly good month taking out the Milan game.

Bilox: Martinez and Mandzukic ran riot over you in the Copa Del Rey! You kept it steady in the league however and Saul + Adryan look like good signings.

Moose: Purely about your transfer rumours since I didn't get to watch the videos. Grenier looks like a great Bosman signing and if you could manage to pull off the Pastore move that would be an immense boost. Song would a welcome addition back but his wages may prove troublesome again.

Tex: A good month where you kept a lot more clean sheets! Bayern and Dortmund are big scalps and you nearly had a point against Real. The team is really starting to come together.

              Champions League Group Stage
              Match 4
              Swansea 1-0 Borussia Dortmund

              Centurion 8'

              MotM: Adrian Centurion

We hosted the group leaders who were looking for their 4th win from 4 in the group. We would have our work cut out if we wanted to get a result in this game. We started really well and Centurion continued his good form by bagging a goal 8 minutes in. He passed it into Delph from the right wing and continued his run into the area. Delph opted to shoot instead unleashing a powerful left footed shot while holding off Piscek. Weidenfeller produced the save but Centurion was rewarded for his run reacting first to tap in from close range. Weidenfeller then made a great save to deny an Ings header on 21'. Centurion forced another save 10 minutes later off a corner. Bender then had Dortmund's first real chance before halftime heading wide from outside the box off a well worked corner routine. Bony had a great chance soon after the restart running free of the back 4 and forcing a save and then missing the rebound. Scuffet made a very goof stop from a Sahin effort on the hour mark before Reid hit the crossbar with a header 10 minutes later. Hayes then parked the bus to see out the lead and brought on Zouma and Dyer for Ings and Redmond while switching to a 5-4-1. It was a memorable European night for Hayes and all involved with the club. Adrian Centurion was the stand out attacking player while he also helped out in his defensive duties. Winston Reid, Jordi Amat and Simone Scuffet were all stellar in defense claiming a clean sheet against the likes of Reus, Immobile, Sahin and Blaszczykowski.

              Nov 5th
              Match 11
              Swansea 2-1 Liverpool

              Bony 67' (Berahino)
              Bony 79' (Shelvey)
              Sterling 87'

              MotM: Wilfried Bony

3rd placed Liverpool came to Wales to face us in this game and it would be another big test of our abilities. After a tight first half of us having the better of the chances and both keepers being outstanding when called upon. The game finally produced some goals after the hour mark. Top scorer Bony was on target twice for us and Sterling got one past Scuffet inside the last 5 minutes of the game. Berahino fed it to Bony and he took on Agger who initially won the ball on the edge of the box but the ball kept rolling in Bony's path. He then composed himself and stuck it past a helpless Mignolet. Shelvey then played it into Bony for the second. Bony used his superior speed to get past Agger and then finish around Mignolet. Higuain then played the ball through out defense and Sterling finished it. Bony, Berahino and Anderson had good games today.

              Nov 8th
              Match 12
              Blackburn 0-2 Swansea

              McKenzie 13' (Sigurdsson)
              McKenzie 36' (Cañas)

              MotM: Tom McKenzie

We face newly promoted and strugglers Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. Youth product McKenzie put us ahead with a first time shot 13 minutes in. McKenzie then scored off another through ball with a first time shot on 36 minutes. McKenzie really impressed today as did Cañas and the defence.

              Nov 19th
              Match 13
              Swansea 2-1 Hull

              Meyler 37'
              Bony 75' (Pen)
              Bony 78' (Sigurdsson)

              MotM: Wilfried Bony

A game in which was dominated by us although the scoreline suggested differently. Irishman David Meyler gave Hull the lead going into the break with his well placed finish. It took until Hull captain Dawson took Bony down in the area for us to equalize through Bony himself. Sigurdsson avoided 2 challenges before setting Bony free in between Dawson and Maguire. He duly finished past Cillessen.

              Nov 22nd
              Champions League Group Stage
              Match 5
              Anderlecht 0-1 Swansea

              Ings 13' (Centurion)

              MotM: Simone Scuffet

Although it was a tight game we never seemed like we would lose it. Ings danced past 2 tackles leaving him a free run into the box and place it past the motionless keeper. Scuffet played really well making 9 saves when the ball did get past the defence.

              Nov 26th
              Match 14
              QPR 1-2 Swansea

              Bony 38' (Pen)
              Ings 51' (Delph)
              Modeste 80' (Pen)

              MotM: Fabian Delph

Another even game but we had the better chances and took them. Ehmer took Bony down inside the area and he dispatched the spot kick. Delph then played a great ball through to Ings from the halfway line. Ings ran onto it and converted the chance. Amat was judged to have clipped Austin as he was shooting allowing Modeste to tuck away the penalty.

              Nov 29th
              Capital One Cup Quarter Finals
              Swansea 4-2 Bolton

              McKenzie 2'
              McKenzie 25' (Tidser)
              Davis 27'
              Almeida 31'
              McKenzie 33' (Bertrand)
              Spearing 52'
              McKenzie 59'

              MotM: Tom McKenzie

A game in which Bolton actually had more attempts but youth product McKenzie was on fire banging in 4 goals and earning Man of the Match. His first was good pressing by him and other academy player Tidser forcing a scuffed kick from the keeper. McKenzie then hit it on the half volley into the top corner. His second was a good cross by Tidser and he got free from his marker before heading powerfully past the keeper. Davies and Almeida leveled for Bolton in a 4 minute period. McKenzie completed his hat trick on 33 minutes to restore the lead. He was played down the line and he turned back in on his right, making room to fire across the keeper. Spearing found a gap in the defence to level the game at 3-3. But McKenzie popped up again this time dispossessing Ream and sprinting towards goal before placing it past Bogdán. What a performance from the 18 year old.

              Player of the Month

              Wilfried Bony

The Ivorian won some games on his own and scored 5 crucial goals this month. He is extremely strong, a clinical finisher, excellent in the air and is quite quick for his build. He is the perfect target man to have. He doesn't get nervous taking penalties either and takes them with ease. A very important component of the team.

Cerci turned Clark in the box and fired home into the left hand corner. McClean poked in the equalizer ahead of El Shaarawy after McGeady squared it. Long took the lead for us speeding past Ogbonna on the edge of the box and placing past Sirigu. 6 minutes later Long had a second hitting the ball first time from the penalty spot while he was side on to the goal. The rest of the half was closed out. Balotelli pulled one back after turning Clark, sprinting into the area and scoring across Westwood to the left. A frustrated Italy were reduced to long range efforts for the remainder of the game.

              MotM: Selçuk Inan

It was a tight match with the midfield being the key part. None of the teams really got on top and it ended all square. Erdinç opened the scoring being chipped through and taking his shot early surprising Westwood. McClean equalized on the stroke of halftime tapping in Stokes' ball across the 6 yard box. Gülüm was sent off for coming in from behind McClean near the area. McGeady shot the ensuing free kick just wide.

                  Conclusion
Finally got it done. Six in game months later but it's finally completed haha. For next season I plan on going for a high overall CB to replace the aging captain Miguel Flaño, who although plays every week has been decreasing in stats. I imagine he will go down even more in the offseason. The arrival of Isma Lopez will force some players to move around since I plan on using him with the first team when he comes in. Which means somebody in the current first team will have to go. I already have in mind who it will be. Also for next season I will send Jose Garcia out on a season loan. He was one of the reasons why I chose to do an Osasuna CM, but he's averaging one overall point growth per season which is not good at all despite him usually playing +75 minutes with the B team and usually finishing with at least a 7.0 match rating. I'm hoping that a loan will speed up his development. Another one I will send out on loan is Mikel Merino. The player really did surprise me last season and he still plays really well, but like Jose Garcia he just doesn't grow. Two seasons in and he hasn't grown a single stat point not even the mental stats. So he will be loaned, and I will keep either Maikel Mesa or Miguel Olavide when they return from loan next season. They've been developing well while on loan, so they'll have to battle it out in the preseason.

Once the season ends I will post another squad list, but this will be an actual squad review with more detailed info. This is just a quick overview I do after the January windows.

                  Thanks For Reading!

                    Dagenham '18-19 Season
                    December/January Update

                    League Match 15
                    Dagenham - Swansea City (1-0)
                    Elito 51' (Reyna)

Recap: Following the Daggers' trend this season they had a tough time scoring against one of the worst teams in the league but luckily their speedy wing-midfielders combined to get Paez's squad 3 points.

Capital One Cup - Quarter Finals
                    Nott'm Forest - Dagenham (4-0)
                    Majewski 38'
                    Gillett 60'
                    Giva 66'
                    Giva 71'

Recap: This being the 3rd game in 6 days and with the next league game happening in 4 days Paez turned to the B team for this one. It was a disaster. An usually reliable attack with Caseres/Nimely was never ever to get settled and the back 4 - and Nico Leali - had a forgettable performance as Dagenham was bounced from this competition.

                    League Match 16
                    Cardiff City - Dagenham (0-1)
                    Victor Andrade 35'

Recap: It's hard to complain about wins but the Daggers continue to barely beat inferior opponents while performing much better against superior competition. Playing down to the level of their opponents is never a good thing.

Champions League - Group State, Match 6
                    Dagenham - Marseille (1-2)
                    J. Ayew 19'
                    J. Ayew 71'
                    Imbula 83'

Recap: Welp. With the French club looking to exhaust any last possibility to advance to the next round they left it all out on the pitch and were rewarded with a very important win against the already qualified Daggers. A draw between Bayern and Galatasaray meant that the Germans and the French finished with the same amount of points (and Dagenham wins the group!), but how the tiebreaker was decided goes beyond my comprehension ...

                    League Match 17
                    Dagenham - Southampton (2-0)
                    Wilkinson 44' (Vilna)
                    Victor Andrade 90'

Recap: Different score thanks to a VA goal at the end but basically yet another game where the Daggers had difficulty establishing their dominance over an inferior opponent.

                    League Match 18
                    Dagenham - Manchester City (3-2)
                    Guidetti 7'
                    Vilna 30'
                    Aguero 32'
                    Vilna 40' (Elito)
                    Reyna 67' (Vilna)

Recap: An excitement-filled game goes in favor of the Daggers after Laurenco Vilna, who has had a subpar season so far, broke out to be a part of each of Dagenham's 3 goals. After a shaky first half Leali and the back 4 pitched a shoutout in the second half to help Dagenham earn 3 very valuable points.

                    League Match 19
                    West Ham - Dagenham (0-4)
                    Victor Andrade 28' (Reyna)
                    Victor Andrade 48' (Monzon)
                    Locadia 71' (Reyna)
                    Wilkinson 90+' (Victor Andrade)

Recap: Unlike the two East London Derbys last season this one practically became a no contest in the second half when the Daggers broke through for 3 goals to embarrass their rivals on the road.

                    JAN
                    League Match 20
                    Dagenham - Stoke City (1-1)
                    Victor Andrade 24'
                    Araujo 57

Recap: The struggles in December weren't enough to keep the Daggers from a perfect month in the PL but January starts with a real struggle as Paez's squad misses out on the opportunity to jump to 2nd place in the standings. That will hurt.

                    League Match 21
                    Fulham - Dagenham (3-0)
                    Kasami 7'
                    Kasami 48'
                    Monakana 82'

Recap: Ok, this REALLY hurt. Fulham completes a season sweep of Dagenham (with an overall score of 7-1) and in the process nearly makes the Daggers' success in December practically non-existent. To Fulham's credit they've had a really good season, constantly in the hunt for a top 6 spot, but we're still baffled by their undispued dominance of a strong Dagenham squad. It was also very disappointing that this was the last game one of the club's longest-tenured players got to play in ...

                    F.A. Cup - Round 3
                    Crystal Palace - Dagenham (0-4)
                    Jones 7' (Victor Andrade)
                    Victor Andrade 57' (Ilesanmi)
                    Victor Andrade 89' (Gavilan)
                    Klok 90+' (Jones)

Recap: It's difficulty to explain the phenomenon the Daggers are in this competition, where they continue to massacre opponents dating back to the last 4 rounds of last season's competition. Excellent (permanent?) debut for Jones in the Starting XI.

                    League Match 22
                    Dagenham - Tottenham (2-2)
                    Victor Andrade 38' (Locadia)
                    Bale 45+'
                    Victor Andrade 47' (Ilesanmi)
                    Chadli 54'

Recao: Probably has been mentioned before but the Spurs have got to be the most difficult matchup every season fro the Daggers. Every time it seemed Dagenham might get away with this game Tottenham equalized it, therefore the game ended in a fair result. V.A. undoubtedly had the highlight of the game ...

                    Spoiler

                    League Match 23
                    Crystal Palace - Dagenham (1-1)
                    De Silva 34'
                    Locadia 45+' (Victor Andrade)

Recap: If you didn't believe the Daggers' performance in the F.A. Cup was a phenomenon then explain why they were barely able to draw against the same opponent in the PL? I thought so. Dagenham wraps up a disappointing January with this one.

                    English Premier League - Standings
                    1. Chelsea - 49pts
                    2. Arsenal - 43pts
                    3. Manchester Utd - 43pts
                    4. Liverpool - 42pts
                    5. Manchester City - 41pts

                    6. Fulham - 39pts
                    7. Dagenham - 39pts
                    ...
                    18. Cardiff City - 18pts
                    19. QPR - 17pts
                    20. Crystal Palace - 13pts

                    Champions League - Group E
                    1. Dagenham - 10pts
                    2. FC Bayern - 9pts
                    3. Marseille - 9pts
                    4. Galatasaray SK - 3pts

Where to start? Going into January Dagenham was in position to jump up to 2nd place had they beaten Stoke City but a draw followed by a tough loss in the next game against Fulham basically led to the Daggers only having little to show for, jumping just one spot in the standings. At this point any hopes of winning the PL may need to be tossed aside and replaced with meeting the board's expectation for a top 4 finish. On the bright side, as you can see, Victor Andrade has broke out with a solid December and an excellent January and actually earned Player of the Month for the latter. V.A. is tied (Dani Pacheco) for the league lead in assists with 7 and is in a group of 7 players who have scored 9 goals in the PL, 7 back of the leader (Abel Hernandez). His 3 assists in the Champions League are also tied for a competition best with 7 other players. Dagenham's opponent in the Champions League Round of 16 will be Porto.

The winter transfer window came and went, no without some significant moves being made by the club. Check it out:

TRANSFERS OUT: Medy Elito (LM, 70 OVR), sold to NEC for $2.6 million. Mode (RB, 66 OVR), loaned to Siena for the rest of the season. David Antonio (CM, 60 OVR), loaned to Porstmouth FC for the rest of the season. Jordan Derbyshire (GK, 67 OVR), loaned to Preston North End for the rest of the season. Oluwafemi Ilesanmi (LB, 73 OVR), included in a transaction. Yohan Wachter (CB, 66 OVR), included in a transaction.

TRANSFERS IN: Jack Robinson (LB, ?? OVR), agreed to pre-contract for 4 years, $90K wages. Alexander Gonzalez (LB, 74 OVR), purchased from BSC Young Boys for $750K + Ilesanmi. Joao Victor Pires Ribeiro (CB, 70 OVR), purchased from FC Barcelona for $2.5 million + Wachter. Jese Rodriguez (ST, ?? OVR), agreed to pre-contract for 5 years, $150K wages.

It was inevitable and Dagenham finally made way for Elito to join a different squad before having to demote him to a bench role which he wouldn't have liked. It was a difficult moment for everyone involved as Elito was the team captain for the last several seasons and was also playing at a very good level. However, the club has a number of good midfielders not only on the senior roster but also in the academy and eventually demoting the stud Englishman would had been awkward and ugly. Elito was all class during his exit and stated he'd continue to root for the Daggers.

Another long-tenured Dagger was also moved in this window. Ilesanmi had peaked for a while now it was no secret the club was looking to upgrade. The main upgrade will arrive next season in Robinson but in the meantime Gonzalez will fill in. He'll actually be taking over at RB with the left-footed Seok Min Kim moving to LB. The team was happy to get Derbyshire, who has been showing improvement for the last couple of seasons, a short loan stint where hopefully he'll get some playing time. Pires Riberio is strictly an upgrade at the backup CB positions. Finally, perhaps the prize acquisition is Jese Rodriguez who was surprisingly sitting there eligible for pre-contract. Dagenham may have overpaid a tad on the wages but the hope is the Spaniard will outplay his cost. The next 6 months possibly become an audition period for Locadia and Andrade as it's highly unlikely Jese will come off the bench.

                    Woulda, coulda shoulda:
                    Spoiler

In academy news the club received final report from its scouts in Croatia and Netherlands while their scout in Venezuela continues his 6-month assignment. As you might expect there's been some movement here so let's take a look at the youth squad:
                    • Pavel Vrhovec (CF, 53-63 OVR, 81-94 POT): 17-year old from Croatia already showing some good speed in the academy. The great news is that he's an elite prospect at a position of need but the bad news is that, due to his age, he's unlikely to remain in the academy past this season.
                    • Victor Soriano (GK, 58-64, 80-90): 15-year old from Venezuela who is highly regarded and has a chance to become a special youngster in the PL if he sticks in the academy for a couple of seasons.
                    • Nathan Kenny (RM, 63-67, 83-89): 17-year old from Ireland described as technically gifted and projecting as a complete midfielder.
                    • Sean Foran (LM, 62-66, 83-89): 16-year old from Ireland who is the fastest out of all the Irishmen in the academy. Our midfield could be 75% Irish in the near future.
                    • Franco Gomez (CAM, 48-58, 75-93)*: 16-year old from Venezuela whose promise makes up for his size (5'5"). Described as a playmaker.
                    • Damiano Janse (CB, 42-56, 78-86): 15-year old from Netherlands who will actually be tried at CDM since his stature (5'11") isn't ideal for a CB.
                    • Esteban Navarro (CM, 48-54, 78-86): 15-year old from Venezuela also described as a playmaker. His skillset may not necessarily be a good fit for the diamond.
                    • Fabrice Mengual (RM, 56-60 78-84): 16-year old playmaker from France who actually projects as more of a CAM.
                    • Pablo Escobar (CAM, 60-64, 74-80): 17-year old from Venezuela who likely won't improve much more this season unless he stays in the academy until May.
                    • Matthieu Maupay (CAM, 57-61, 74-80)*: 16-year old from France finally settled in at a position. Described as an attacker.
                    • Victor Soriano (MID/ATT, 50-62, 70-88)*: 16-year old from Venezuela representing the second prospect from the country in our academy with that name and last name. He's likely to stick as a CF.
                    • Ciaran Kavanagh (CM, 58-62, 72-78): 16-year old from Ireland who also projects as a technically-gifted CAM.
                    • Siem Reijnen (CB, 39-47, 66-82)*: 15-year old from the Netherlands described as physically strong. We hope he'll grow past his current 6'1" frame but we like him at his position.
                    • Stef Gilissen (DEF, 36-42, 69-81)*: 15-year old from Netherlands who is trying to convince coaches that he can play at LB but his lack of speed will probably keep him at CB.

                    * Denotes recent addition to the academy.

Continuing a trend of tops prospects requesting promotion mid-season, Fernando Romero (LW, 66 OVR) and Dean Murphy (LM, 67 OVR) requested and received promotion to the senior squad. Magnus Gerndt (RW, 57 OVR) was also promoted and later released to make room for new acquisitions, while Cesar Miguel (CDM, 52-56, 72-78) also requested to be promoted but was denied his request and he subsequently chose to leave the club.

Current roster (* Denotes player graduated from the youth academy):

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Some big news today that makes me very happy. I've just been offered very lucrative job in the UK/US. I haven't accepted the offer yet, but I like what's been put on the table. The company is a web-based marketing solutions provider with offices in Southampton, Oakland and Moscow. I've been offered the chance to lead either of the first two offices.

Southampton would mean regular games at St. Mary's plus at least one away trip to Chelsea every season. I'd also be within reasonable distance of London if I want to spend the weekend in the city, and my folks will be moving back to near Aldershot in a few months.

Oakland puts me right next to the Golden State Warriors (get in, Andrew Bogut), and near San Jose (who have an MLS team plus my uncle in Forest Knolls) and San Francisco (who have Rabbit and Fisherman's Wharf).

Late in the match Kolar dribbled down the right side of the box and drove a cross into the box for Krejci to head back across the face of the goal and inside the right post for the equalizer.

Kolar attacked straight through the heart of the defense forcing the keeper to rush off his line and he then played it to Vydra on the right side for the open goal. Vydra came down the left wing and then cut the ball inside and attacked the middle of the box to fire a strong right footed shot into the bottom right corner.

Çiftçi played the ball to Werner and continued his run to get the ball back in the middle of the box and place it just inside the right post. Michal Mak made a great run into the box and received the ball and hit it between the defender's legs and into the back of the net. St. Etienne used impressive passing in the box to draw the keeper off his line and Clement finally put the ball into the empty net. Çiftçi pushed the ball around the defense to the right side of the box and sent a low cross in that Werner was able to tap in. Çiftçi got the ball on the counter attack and beat the defense down the left wing before cutting in on goal to curl the ball around the keeper into the far right post. Rakovsky played the ball right back to St. Etienne right off a goal kick and it was played to Hamouma right in front of goal for the easy score. Ben Khalifa led the counter playing the ball to Çiftçi on the right side who drew the keeper out and played it back to Ben Khalifa for the tap in.

                          MOTM: Lechleiter

Arnold had his shot blocked by Stromgaard Sorensen, but it came right back to him and he was able to slot it home for the opener. Lechleiter played the ball to Ben Khalifa at the top of the box and got it back after making a run into the box and beat the keeper to the right side of the goal. Lechleiter then returned the favor when he played the ball ahead to Ben Khalifa on the counter who was able to beat the keeper on the near post for the lead. Vieirinha got the ball on the top of the box and made a quick turn to get the ball on his left foot and fire it perfectly into the top left corner for the equalizer. Lechleiter showed off some amazing ball skills beating the defense on a counter and going through on goal only to see it saved by Grun who pushed it out, but directly into the knee of his own man and watched as the ball rolled back into the net to give St. Pauli the win.

Junuzovic played the ball over the top of the defense right into the path of Jantscher going through on the right side of goal for the easy near post finish past a frozen keeper. Starke made a save pushing the ball to the outside of the goal that Higuain was able to beat Tah to the header starting a sequence that saw the ball hit off the post and deflect off of Starke and back into the net.

The ball was played to Çiftçi on the counter and he used a quick touch to get past Pepe and go through on goal to beat the keeper on the right post. James had the ball knocked away from him but was able to recover it and play it over to Benzema for the quick turn and shoot into the back of the net. Ben Khalifa played Werner down the left wing who sent in a cross that Çiftçi beat Ramos in the air to head into the goal. Storm took the ball down the right side of the goal to the end line before sending a cross back into the box that found Werner's head and ended up in the net to extend the lead. Werner used a fake shot, but Pepe was able to knock the ball away from him back towards the keeper that Ben Khalifa raced to and touched it away before sliding to hit it back into the goal to seal the win.

St. Pauli Player of the Month

                          Nadir Çiftçi

Putting in an outstanding total of 6 goals and 3 assists this month, Çiftçi has put himself tied for the Bundesliga lead with 8 goals to go along with 4 goals in the Champions League. His performances across both competitions has really begun to put him in the discussion as one of best strikers around.

                          Press Conference
Q: You have pushed to the top of the table, but with the season still in the early stages, the separation from first and sixth is only 4 points. What do you need to do in order to continue to create more separation from the rest and hold on to the top spot?

A: With the table so close it will be tough to maintain where we are. Bayern Munich and Dortmund are sitting in 5th and 6th, and they can begin their push at any point. We have to continue to focus on the defense we have been playing, and Starke is staying in top form in goal so far. Our attack has been fantastic as of late, and we need to keep them in form as well.

Q: You were able to take 3 points in both Champions League games with big wins over St. Etienne and the defending champions of Europe, Real Madrid. How hard will it be to keep your spot and advance past the group stages?

A: The win over Real Madrid was huge for us, and the St. Etienne one was a must win match. We are in position to advance right now, but with 2 matches left and Real Madrid lurking, nothing is guaranteed. We have a home match against St. Etienne and we have to travel to Inter for the other one that is left. The pressure will be on, but we just have to focus on playing our game.

Q: Lasse Sobiech went down with a dislocated shoulder in that last match against Real Madrid. He was really taking a step forward and establishing a solid partnership with Jonathan Tah. How big of a hit is this for your squad?

A: With the way the defense had been improving it's tough to see him have to miss 8 weeks like this. Him and Jonathan were really learning how to cover for each other, and when to take risks. We have two solid players in Stromgaard Sorensen and Hammar who will fill in, but the experience Sobiech had with Tah on the field will be hard to replace.

Wow man congratulations! Really happy for you. You have a really tough decision on your hands though. It sounds like choosing Southampton would bring you closer to your family since your parents will be near, and who wouldn't want to be able to visit London for a weekend whenever they pleased. PL football is just icing on the cake. A cake that is already so good it doesn't even need icing, but you just can't say no to the icing. You know what I mean?

Oakland would be a great choice though. For one you would be living in the greatest ever, God-given country in the world: 'Murica. But on a more serious note, you would be able to explore pretty much all of the major leagues. The MLS, which seems to get better each season, the NHL, the MLB, the NFL, and as you said the NBA. You could even catch an NFL game with Rabbit! My brother and I are planning on visiting San Francisco soon actually. I've always wanted to tour Alcatraz.

Looking forward to seeing which offer you accept. I have a feeling you're leaning more towards Southampton. Congratulations again!

Wow! Congrats man! Your so lucky that you have the opportunity to choose where to go. For me personally I would choose Southampton for the following reasons:

                                - Your parents
                                - The BPL, Seeing as you have the chance to see a lot of Southampton games and the odd Chelsea game.
                                - London is also a nice pull

I can see why you would decide to go to the US if you did. They have:

                                - A lot of big leagues (as Chico mentioned) so you good get a wide variety of big sports in. Something not as easily done in England.
                                - If you have never lived in the US maybe you'd like the change/adventure of it.

Good luck choosing! I wish you the best with the job!
